Joseph at MINI of Escondido was very pleasant to work with. I bought my dream MINI. There was no haggle or runaround while purchasing the car. We agreed on a price and the process was quick from then on. He was knowledgeable about the inventory on hand and gave me options. I recommend him and the team. The sales manager was professional and introduced himself to me. I felt at home and welcomed. Great customer service and experience.

VIN # and year this car really is!

I purchased a Mini Cooper S from this dealership on Aug. 14th, I made it 100% clear that my payment had to be NO MORE than $419 a month. The little MINI I found was $28K-perfectly inline with what I needed! All paperwork signed(no physical papers in hand....)first shady feeling.... I was out the door, SO I THOUGHT. Instead, as I went for the door I was steered into the head of finance gentleman's office. 45 minutes, and close to $10k worth of extended warranties later I left with a $586 a month payment.... I got home(still in shock)had a panic attack and knew I needed to return it... only to find that the 3 day cooling off paperwork had been slid under my hand while signing everything else and it would cost me thousands just to return it. SECOND SHADY smack! Within days the little car with 24k miles on it started cutting out and lunging forward at the red/green lights. I took it in and they serviced it, said it was good to go again-while I waited I went back into the dealership, thought I'd try and stop the bleeding and void all the extra warranties, the finance manager told me that the brakes were needing to be replaced SOON and it would cost me around $2500 w-o the warranty... the only thing I got help with... was putting the payment off for another couple months. This past Saturday I decided I'd remove the sticker on the windshield.... THE WINDSHIELD IS BROKEN! UNDER THE NEW DMV sticker from the dealership!!!! FINAL SHADY AF PART... I took it to get the windows tinted last night... the window tint guy says, "hey! You told me this was a 2019." I said well yeah-I just got the registration, that's what I was told at the dealership. "Well ITS NOT!" Sure enough, in the door, on the VIN it says 3/18! And that's the cut of the window tint THAT FIT! The "certified-used car info" in the window when I test drove it said 2018, when I signed paperwork they said oh it's a 2019!!! Yippee, we all celebrated! NOT! I paid more thinking it was a 2019, paid registration AND INSURANCE for a 2019 car and it was built in 2018! There may be a loophole that makes this ok-there shouldn't be! BUT,,,,, the part I have a problem with is the way this ENTIRE dealership didn't disclose ANYTHING TO ME-yeah I should have looked at every single document and read it before I signed. I've never dealt with someone swindling me before while smiling and being so sweet saying "ITS ALL GOOD, just trust us." I will NEVER "just trust ANYONE" selling me anything again because of these snake oil salesmen. I'm writing to the owner of this dealership and to the German manufacturers of MINI TODAY to let them know what is REALLY GOING ON HERE! *********BUYERS BEWARE!!!************ Unless you're ready to read EVERY LINE of every contract and second guess everything your told.... RUN, RUN, RUN!!!!! Do not even slow down to walk to another dealership!!! I wouldn't send a known enemy to this place! My little MINI is lunging at the light so bad that I thought I was going to hit the car in-front of me last night. So it's going back to be looked at again and have the windshield replaced-on my 10K worth of warranty because I'm SURE they'll tell me it was done AFTER I PURCHASED it even though I've put less than 200 miles on it since I purchased it 5 weeks ago. I'm BEYOND DISAPPOINTED with the way this dealership works and would NOT recommend it to ANYONE for ANY reason as of today. Especially for what I thought would be such a "CLASSY" dealership. NO WAY. AND MINI OF ESCONDIDO-DONT COMMENT "EMAIL US WITH YOUR PREFERRED CONTACT!" YOU HAVE ALL MY INFO, maybe you'll find it a little more important after your bosses contact you, and you aren't getting more cars from your manufacturers because of these reviews because IM JUST GETTING STARTED! EVERYONE IS GOING TO KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE AND HOW SHADY AF YOU ARE!!!!

I was shopping for a car for my son and found a 2013 BMW 328i on the lot at Mini of Escondido. We had spoken to Rico Ballestrasee on a previous visit and called him to see if the car was still available. He had the car ready to test drive when we arrived, and after a short negotiation, we did the deal. There were a few other customers ahead of us, so it took some time for complete the paperwork, but all in all, pretty painless. We picked up the car later in the week and Rico had it completely detailed for us with a full tank of gas. We had a brake pad replacement light trigger later that week. I called Rico and he arranged for a no-charge service visit and got us a loaner car. We are very happy with the car and the after purchase service experience.

A new car with less than 2k miles in the shop for weeks comes home with a flat tire. SHAME ON YOU MINI OF ESCONDIDO!

Lackluster Salesmanship, Borderline Unethical Games, Incompetant+Unapolgetic Staff ============ Me and my wife, have had 3 minis. We had planned our upgrade from a 2014 2dr cooper s to the clubman this year since having 2 kids now it would fit and we thought the car looked exotic and electrifying. We picked out our combination and sent it to two dealers. This dealership had our car come in earlier than expected and when the photo was sent we noticed the car was ordered wrong. This was my first red flag, and I told my wife that there was no way I should be purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, given its previous reputation as Brecht BMW. The Salesperson who "assisted" us was too eager to get home that evening, so we never had a full demo of the features of the car; I would believe if I had ordered a car directly from any other Mini dealer there would have been a fun, get to know the car experience rather than high pressure tactics used in order to get a commission paid. I was fed up and started texting my wife in the showroom about how much of a disaster this had been and I'd be thrilled to leave here immediately. Upon walking out the first time after a bad negotiation process, my car which was one of very few left at night in the lot was BLOCKED by one of the vehicles from leaving. I receive a frantic call on my cell from the manager, who lowballed my trade in and wanted to give his final offer as I was traveling home. I really did feel bad for the manager since he had to resort to acting like a used car salesman rather than a premiere luxury auto executive. FYI All Service Contracts in California are Cancelable within 60days. ============ Finance manager was giving me a shakedown in order to secure a maintenance package; which made absolutely no sense. I later called mini corporate and wanted them to explain what the MPU maitainence package entailed for the price and they were unable to give me a straight answer. I filled out a cancellation form and about a few months I was refunded. I really had no hard feelings for Sergey, he was just trying to do his job. Lying Service Advisors, Condescending Service Manager and Lack of Respect to Property ============ Upon test driving and driving the car home there was a strange ticking noise coming from the newly installed wheels, front drivers side. I took it into service and drove with the shop foreman who also observed the ticking noise. The supposed cause was initially bad weight spacing in the wheel. Approximately 3 weeks later I turn the car in for the window tint and when I get in the car and drive I immediately notice an interior tapping noise coming from the drivers side passenger roof area. I roll the windows down, I put the seat down, I put the sunroof down or tilted, I had my wife drive as I sat in the back to find the issue and held on to the handle bar. No difference. But when I tried the other side of the car I started to notice things like the trim items were looser on the drivers side than the passenger side. I document and record the issues and start to search online for similar issues with no conclusions than to take it to the dealer and demand a repair. My wife and I went 4 times, with a brand new car out of service between 3/26 to 5/3. We had 4 separate rental cars that had no abnormal noises and it felt like going into the dealership was an episode of Groundhog Day. My wife drove with our service advisor, Jack S and the foreman I drove with during the ticking noise and they all agreed with her that they heard it. But to my dismay the service advisor I was working with, Jack S changed his story several times about him being in the car with my wife and listening to the noise. During the three weeks I emailed mini corporate 3/26 and on 3/31 to atyourservice asking for guidance and help. No response. I emailed the AVP on 3/11 with no response either about how unhappy I was with the entire experience. I asked Jack S on 4/6 to have the Service Manager call me, because wouldn't you think that a manager should have been involved if a car has been through the shop 4 times with no solve? I called mini corporate on Apr 6th for guidance, Monique said I needed to contact the service manager and I said to log this and I will immediately request the SM to contact me. I was never contacted and days later Apr 11 I receive a text message that the service manager "could not really hear anything" and at that time I contacted corporate again and create a ticket. My corporate desigee Alissa provided no help to me and said I should pickup the car. Upon picking up the car on 5/3, the sunvisor was not put back in place and the front drivers tire was flat. (SHAME ON YOU ESCONDIDO MINI) People who can actually help you ============ San Diego Mini cared and was able to fix the issue in days AND DID GREAT WORK. Mack at Mini Independent was another GREAT resource in diagnosing the car when you feel the dealer was doing unnecessary warranty work.

This was the Escondido's actual ad!! Please look at what Brett put into my lease.

CAN A GIRL GET TREATED RIGHT??? WORD TO THE WISE!!!!!!! WARNING. Their is nothing quite like finding a good deal on a used car. That feeling you get when you find the perfect car at the perfect price is indescribable. Unfortunately, that feeling changes quickly when a MANAGER at the dealership CHANGES the price of the car TO A higher price than advertised sticker price. Perhaps they mis-priced the vehicle, or didn't remember to update the sticker price after a sale period - either way, changing the sticker price on a car is considered Auto Fraud, and you have a legal recourse. The residual balance of YOUR last lease is the banks problem. The dealership has zero responsibility. They pocket your money. The dealership lied to my face. I was told they had to ding me on every issue and mileage because Mini Cooper Corporate demanded it. NOT!! This entire deal was fraudulent. In my pictures you will see the up charge that the Manger BRETT put on my contract. I asked what is the actual cost of the car? The manager Brett blurted out its only $28,190. Then the salesmen Micheal told the manager Brett twice the car was $26,800 Shame on your Brett!! I asked twice what was the final price - it was still raised. ILLEGAL!!! The car still is 30,000, so when I saw how it Wasn't detailed I said something. I was assured it would be perfect. The car was parked under a dark back carport. I showed them right away all the dirt and chunks of wax. FYI I was told - you can clean it myself at home. I was told I should use this wax I have at home. EVERY NEW MINI MODEL HAS DIFFERENT FEATURES each year they release. The salesmen handed me the keys and walked inside. I sat in the car for at least 10 minutes figuring out what's what and what's different. I still had Chunks of white blotches in every nook and cranny. The carpets where filthy with dirt everywhere and smudged finger prints all over even in the back. I'm pretty sure I didn't drive the car home from the back seat. The engine compartment was caked with dust and dirt. I actually texted Micheal telling him what a mess the car was and I received an apology after the second I'm not happy. I showed them the rags used to basically I used to wipe down the detailed car and nothing else. Then I had to throw out the boyfriend is upset and then the manager Brett so graciously told Michael I could bring it in to get it detailed. Great!!!! It's a 2 hour round trip!! OHN (OH HELL NO). I asked for the cargo net and tire bolts removal kit. That has seemed to be "It sucks to be you". I was sent my old cargo net for a three-year-old mini Cooper that doesn't fit the 2020 model. Asked for the information on the complete car inspection on the car. It' had 4,600 miles on it. Basically the car isn't certified. The finance department was just as exciting as the contract numbers. The guy tried to tell me Mini doesn't do anything but oil changes now. WHAT??? I declined the several outrageous warranties because I wasn't told it's wasn't certified. ILLEGAL. Now hold on to your panties this is a good one. The digital screen that I had to sign was Mysteriously having some malfunctions. IT LOOKED torn in half and missing the entire center section of each page ON THE SCREEN. . I was told you know computers they have issues. So rambling through that I WAS handed papers I kind of didn't want to think they were going to screw me but I WAS!! Got home with a nasty dirty car with chunks of wax in every nook and cranny filthy engine. I find this form in my paperwork that was never shown to me that I have no warranty with the dealership. I sent a text saying how shitty that was. Now here comes the kicker --- I was told I got a great deal. OMG WHAT THE F The sad part ladies is I only got a response saying MY BOYFRIEND WAS MAD. I flipping don't have one!!!!

Listed sale price of $16,306. The REAL sale price is $17,406. Then add your tax and title.
