Very "rough" design of a very small overpriced cake. The design was simple. But she could not execute.

We went to a small business to support and this cake place had good reviews. Unfortunately we were grossly overcharged for very small 10 inch cake. Our daughter turned 22 and wanted a marvel themed cake. We had to pay in full before even viewing it. My daughter is very kind and not one to comment negatively but she knew how much we were charged. A 10 inch cake for just under $300. Our daughter said it looked cute but "rough." I asked her to let me know how it tasted. She said it barely had any frosting and was very dry. I can understand upcharging for an artisan cake. We did not get a quality cake in design or taste. It looked homemade but not quality homemade. I don't understand why one would charge extremely high price when the skill set just isn't there. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Great service and amazing cake! She was very quick to answer and very accommodating with changes and recommendations to explore cake ideas! I ordered a chocolate mousse cake which was so rich in chocolate, moist, and bitter sweet!

This was such a cool experience, and such an amazing result! I found Minx Cakes when searching for a keto cake for my husband's birthday. The process of ordering was so much fun (doing a phone call and designing the cake from scratch together), the delivery process was super smooth, and the end result was beautiful and delicious. I'm excited for the next one!!

This has got to be the coolest freaking cake I have ever seen! Not only did the cake turn out amazing and everyone loved it, but it was also absolutely delicious! The ordering and communication was easy, and my order was not an easy one to handle. We have certain food, preferences and sensitivities, and she was able to work with every single one of them, as well as provided some substitutions I hadn't thought of. This two tiered cake turned out better than I could've hoped, and I would recommend her to anyone!

Mikka made an awesome birthday cake for my 2 year old, taking into account all our crazy ideas - he couldn't decide between Peppa Pig, Elmo, and Thomas the Tank Engine so we literally asked for a cake with all three. 5 stars for creativity, service, and taste!

We had the most amazing cake ever for our daughters 2nd birthday! I had a lot of requirements; vegan, gluten free, all organic, coconut sugar sweetened cake, all natural food colorings... not only did Mikka meet all of these, but it was absolutely delicious and incredibly beautifully done! It was a small party so I ordered a small cake, however, I wish I had a whole extra cake just for leftovers, because we ate up every last bite Mikka was able to bring it down to the car when we picked it up which was extremely helpful!

Mikka made me a vegan vanilla passion fruit cake for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing! Ordering on her website was so easy and picking up was a breeze. I ordered it on a Monday for pick up on Saturday and there were no issues at all. She is truly a professional at her craft!

BOMB.COM!! Mikka is the absolute best! and her cakes are just incredible. who would've thought gluten free, dairy free healthy cakes could taste so good! Mikka truly is an artist and gives so much time attention and care to her cakes.

I cannot believe I was able to find this place in such a short amount of time. I had a last minute party and needed to purchase a cake ASAP. I only had 3 days before the party. What made this hard was the fact that it needed to be vegan. I was emailing every bakery place I could find that was vegan near my area. There wasn't really much luck with too short of a notice. When I called this place, they told me they can make the cake within 3 days. Anxiety disappeared after they said yes. When they asked how I wanted to cake, I had absolutely no idea. I was more concerned about finding a cake rather than how it looks. The cake had to be a strawberry vanilla cake. She sent two photo reference photos and I choose one. When I got the cake, it looked EXACTLY like the photo she sent me. I was flabbergasted when I saw the cake. Honestly, I am so glad the other bakeries rejected me because the cake that Minx made for the party was delicious!!!! The cake was moist. The filling wasn't too sweet. The icing was the best icing I've ever had. I wish I purchased a larger cake but I guess that means I'll be coming back for more!

Excellent work making a custom cake that had to be made of vegan ingredients. The Pulp Fiction movie theme of the cake was a hit, and the cake was delicious!

Definitely order your cakes from here. We wanted something spooky and gory for Halloween and she took every one of our requests to heart while making the most delicious cake I've ever eaten. It was a chocolate tiramisu with whipped cream mascarpone and I'm still dreaming of it. Pick up was also extremely easy and timely. Thank you Mikka!

To describe Mikka's cakes in one word, AMAZING. I reached out to Mikka on a day's notice. I didn't think she could pull it off, but she knocked it out of the park. Not only was I late, but the requirements for the cake were to be gluten and dairy-free. From the get-go, Mikka was accommodating and made my cake a priority. She saved the day. Now, let's talk about her cake. It was a triple-layered, guava, strawberry buttercream white cake. She made a very unique design that fit my needs, one of her splatter cakes, with an artistic flair. All of my guests raved about the cake. Thank you again, Mikka.

I'm ordering a SECOND cake from Mikka because of how good this one was. In short: it looked great and got a room full of people commenting, mouths full of cake, that it surprisingly tasted good too -- it's not just eye candy. Mikka is a delight to work with. She has a lot of ideas to help take a vision from three vague words into something solid, that clearly reflects a lot of hard-won experience. I am very impressed and truly feel every penny was worth it.

I would eat the cream by itself if they sold it that way. Good thing I don't live nearby. I saw one review say that some of their chocolate flavor or cookie flavors weren't as good, which I understand. I had a cookie cake and didn't taste the smooth, buttery taste I was looking for. I highly recommend cakes that let their vanilla frosting shine without mixing too many flavors. Flavors: - Raspberry & lychee was amazing - Key lime was a little too tart for my tastes, but I still loved the buttercream - Cookie was just ok

Very modern industrial, no seats, pickup only. Everyone was very nice as I pretended to fit in as someone who could splurge on $50 (4-6 little servings) worth of cake. I only got a taste of this cake from a friend of a friend's birthday cake leftovers. The chocolate dulce de leche one I initially tried was divine, but not available when I went in the afternoon a week later, so I settled on the lemon one, not bad. The buttercream was the best i've EVER had, and that's a big statement. These cakes are definitely designed for someone of a different income bracket than me, but if you want to treat yourself to a LUXURY slice of cake, ride your squeaky bike or cybertruck over to the Dogpatch (still a trip how upscale it's become the last 20 years) and feel like you're Marie Antoinette without a care in the world!

I definitely feel like the team implementing the 7:45AM start time to line up has helped a lot. Not only is it better for the neighbors, but it also makes the whole experience feel a lot less chaotic compared to showing up super early and scrambling to get in line. Everything feels much calmer and organized now. As for the pastries: To be honest, it really depends on what you like. I'm one that gravitates towards pretty much anything with meat and chocolate. Because of that, most of their savory/meaty and creamy pastries are always a must for me. They're super flaky, flavorful and decadent. You can really tell how much time and effort they put into making everything as high quality as possible, especially since you can see them making everything from the window while waiting in line. All in all, I think there's been a lot of improvement over the past year with some trial and error. Their pastries have always been delicious and I personally think it's worth the wait. I recommend getting to the area closer to 7:45AM so you have a better chance of being towards the front of the line. If not, it's still better to come before opening, I just wouldn't recommend getting there right before they open. By then it's not guaranteed that you'll get everything you want since they do run out depending on how many people are there.

My California cousins were downright evangelical about them. The only other time I experienced a similar phenomenon was at work when a group of us were discussing supermarkets for the benefit of our new manager who had just moved to Connecticut from upstate New York. She got downright weepy when she was extolling the virtues of Wegman's to us. So, when we were walking around the block of our San Francisco hotel and spied a SusieCakes on Chestnut Street, well we really had no choice but to go inside and check out the buzz. When we walked in, we certainly understood the cause of that buzz. Some of the most gorgeous cakes I've ever seen were lined up in a showcase alongside cupcakes, cookies, and pies. We walked out with two big cookies that looked impossible to ignore: a Chocolate Chip baked with brown sugar, butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a Snickerdoodle cookie with a cinnamon-sugar coating. Each was $3.99. My cousin told us that the Snickerdoodle reigned supreme in her house, so that set the bar pretty high for us. And after we split it... we agreed it was fantastic, maybe a 10.5 compared to the Chocolate Chip's 9.5. The SusieCakes buzz is most certainly a well-deserved buzz.
