The cafe was packed at this hour, as it appears to be a popular brunch spot as well. I'll have to come back to try their quiche next time! I broke off a piece of the baguette when I got home, and this was by far one of the best baguettes I've found in the city so far. A cross between a traditional French baguette and sourdough, the texture was perfectly spongy and chewy with a slightly tangy flavor. I froze the rest of the baguette to enjoy throughout the week, and the texture miraculously held up.

I wasn't sure what to order, so I ordered the first 2 items I saw: the seasonal twice-baked croissant and some brioche curry/turmeric-based pastry? (I couldn't find it on the site lol) The seasonal twice-baked croissant was amazing! It was a blueberry croissant filled with blueberries and blueberry jam within. They didn't hold back on the filling. There was an almond crumble on top of the croissant, which added so much more taste and flavor to the pastry itself. Like I was truly in awe. The second pastry I ordered, which I didn't take a photo of, was the brioche curry/turmeric-based pastry. I didn't read when I ordered it, so I ate it completely surprised by the taste. I love a savory pastry, which was a perfect addition for my lunch. The flavors were good, but the turmeric flavor was a little overpowering and not really my favorite. For the 2 I ordered, I'd say it was pretty good overall. For all the other things I wasn't able to order, I appreciated this bakery's variety of spreads and flavors offered. Because of that, most of their savory/meaty and creamy pastries are always a must for me. They're super flaky, flavorful and decadent. You can really tell how much time and effort they put into making everything as high quality as possible, especially since you can see them making everything from the window while waiting in line. All in all, I think there's been a lot of improvement over the past year with some trial and error. Their pastries have always been delicious and I personally think it's worth the wait. I recommend getting to the area closer to 7:45AM so you have a better chance of being towards the front of the line. If not, it's still better to come before opening, I just wouldn't recommend getting there right before they open. By then it's not guaranteed that you'll get everything you want since they do run out depending on how many people are there.
