I come here every week and try something new, and so far EVERYTHING has been delicious without exception. I will keep going until I have tried everything, and then I'll probably start over! Really the only area for improvement is that their hot caffeinated beverages (which are also really good) tend to come out somewhat lukewarm instead of hot. Mirabeau is a nice addition to the neighborhood, tucked away in the lane next to the Twinbrook Metro. The space is pretty small, only one or two tables inside, and a couple outside. While I haven't sampled the coffee myself, I've heard from friends that it's good quality. As for the pastries, they are on the pricey side, but fairly good. The pastry selection is fairly standard -- croissants, quiches and tarts -- which, while enjoyable, don't necessarily set it apart as a standout bakery. The Mirabeau experience is holistic. Beautiful storefront, vibrant yet calm. Small and intimate working spaces. Very clear and clean displays and very nice service. I went with my boyfriend we got a cold brew, iced chai latte, ham and cheese croissant and earl grey cream puff. Let me be clear- everything was good. But, the earl grey cream puff was literally nothing I have ever tasted before. Fragrant, light with a beautiful, sweet and almost toasty texture of a puff with just a cloud of earl grey cream. The creme brulee doughnut was AMAZING! I tried it and the outside was perfectly chewy not too dense, and the custard inside was just great because it was not overly sweet at all and just complimented the doughnut very well. read more

This bakery opened up a few weeks ago and it is delectable - some of the best pastries I've had. I've gone a few times since they've opened and had their ham and cheese croissants which changed but both were just as good. Their perfectly buttery and flakey. I cannot have enough of them. Other items I've tried include their quiche, butter croissant, coffee cake, and espresso (iced latte with oat milk) which were all equally delicious. Their coffee is really good as well. This place is a hit or miss for me. The drinks are good. I enjoyed the quiches and some of their sandwiches. The macarons were a disappointment. They were hard, dried out and crusty. The staff did offer to replace them but at that point, I didnt want to eat anything else. I tried their almond croissant on another occasion and that too was hard and dry. This is a small place and parking is always a challenge. Finding a spot could be a challenge depending upon the time of the day. There are hardly any cafes in the area so it fills a need. read more

Such a charming cafe! I've been doing an almond croissant tour of Rockville, Bethesda, and Gaithersburg, and theirs was 10/10! The ambience of the cafe and the service were also fabulous. Highly recommend the apple strudel, which was flaky and delicious, the almond croissant, which had a nice amount of filling and topping, and the chocolate eclair. Jazzy, cozy and adorable little shop. Small and woman owned business doing everything right. When I briefly spoke to the owner, she seemed humble and extremely sweet. She had flour on her shirt (from whipping up fresh and homemade pastries) and a smile on her face while taking my order. I congratulated her and thanked her for the delicious meal! We got an assortment of pastries, two sandwiches and two lattes. All 5 starts. All delicious! I HIGHLY recommend the crème brûlée donut and if you're in the mood for something savory, the tuna sandwich was awesome. Had a little surprise of fennel seeds inside that took away that fishy taste (if you're not into that). The lattes were made of Zeke's coffee beans imported from Guatemala and was smooth and satisfying. The ambiance was cute, lost of people sitting, seating and engaging in convo. We love this little bakery! It's super cute inside with nice clean decoration and the food was delicious. We had a ham and cheese croissant and a chocolate croissant, and both were flakey and delicious. The service was also very friendly and they took the time to plate our food nicely. We sat outside at some small tables they have but inside looked cozy too. Perfect place for a rainy day cup of coffee or a nice place to meet to catch up with a friend. We'll be back! read more

We live in the neighborhood and only just discovered this little place. We've come twice since finding it, and absolutely love it. The pastries are so fresh and delicious. We've had the chocolate and ham & cheese croissants, bacon & chive scones, Croque Madame, and baguette sandwiches, and love them all.
