I came in for a patch job on my front right tire (Toyota Camry). I was not sure where I should check in because there's a store and workshop but a Manager or worker approached me. The Manager or owner was very informative and friendly from the beginning and asked me what was wrong with the car. He did not try to upsell me and actually told me he thinks he should be easy and quick fix. There seems be almost a dozen workers hustling around the shop so I had no wait. I have been going here since 2003 and they have changed owner since. They are still a family own place. They are good about having stock of use tires as and the price is good. But sometime I wonder how they calculate there use tires. Because when I call then they will say it's $40 and when I come in it can be $2 more or sometime $2 less. I needed a specific used tire to replace a run flat tire busted in a bad pothole with a sidewall damage. JJ was able to find the size and also the brand. It turned out that they had exact tire I needed - Pirelli with BMW OEM star mark - for my leased 540i due for return in a couple of weeks. I had called all used tire stores in Fremont, Union City, Newark and Hayward; Mission was the only place to have this tire and they seem to have largest inventory of used tires. Definitely not first come first serve. You'll be waiting for 2.5 hours for a quick tire change, even if there is not many there. Ive seen people come in 30 mins after me and my car up on jacks and the person pulls up gets all four swapped and outta there while I wait forever.. They say they don't take appointments so I don't understand that order of business. Used tires are in above average condition but will charge you a steep price if you're not paying attention. I was charge $135 for a 1 used tire. Almost anywhere else is about $65-$75.. I paid a new tire price for 1 used.. Pay attention to what they charging you. read more

New Tire Service Review: Amazing family owned business. My Friend had recommended this place to me a long time ago. They are very courteous and professional and can quickly order the tires for you and have them in within 30 mins. Pretty much for me that was the travel time to get to this place, so it was convenient. Other places usually take at least a day to get your tires in if they need to be ordered (if not more, at least for my specific tire). They also remembered to put the wheel lock back in its place in the trunk!!! (i always check!) This sounds so silly for me to mention, but I've read multiple yelp reviews where places have lost/not put back the wheel lock! This is every drivers' worst nightmare during a flat tire emergency. Cheapest Hancook Ventus V-12 in the East Bay....there is a cheaper cash spot in the South Bay for tires+alignment but they also have a longer wait time (like a week out) and I had needed the tires way sooner... Great work, quick service, knowledgeable staff, and affordable. I go here to do much of my work, namely wheel and tire mounting and balancing. In and out in less than an hour. They even mark wheels for the position on the car, ie. right front, left front. This is for the balance of the wheel and/or the wear of the tire (assuming they're used). These people are good. They got me in same day and I paid less than expected. I purchased 4 used tires and they all look relatively new and the ride is smooth as butter. I don't drive much so it's perfect! Would recommend A+++ Going back for brakes next week. UPDATE: They were the first place to even attempt to fix my windows. First time coming here, had a very good experience with customer service , came in looking for some lug nuts for my car I didn't know what size I was looking for and luckily this gentleman helped me out and instantly told me that my current lug nuts I had on the car were the WRONG SIZE ! So he told me to wait while he checked for the right sizes and indeed he had them !! I been looking for this lug nuts and this is the place that had them !! Terrible costumer service ,went to ask abut fix a flat the place was empty the technician was playing with his phone and they told me that it will take about 1to 2 hours to be ready. I wanted to speak with the manager and he was really rude , he told me basically to do not speak with him , and go and speak with the same employees that told me 1to 2 hours. These guys are great! I had to come back a few times because I kept getting nails in my tires. They were so kind and helpful each time. They suggested taking different routes around the construction zones, as to not get more nails in the tires. Their customer service is ON-POINT, their prices are great, and they are super friendly to top it off. I plan on coming back for oil changes and my brakes when I need to. I would totally recommend this place. Only downside is they get pretty busy so plan to wait a little to get your car looked at but, I just think that's mostly because they are so good at what they do, everyone wants to go there. read more

I bought a '73 VW Karmann Ghia coupe back in 2017. I found a joint shop that did the bodywork, paint and engine rebuild. After a 32-month restoration I took possession and have enjoyed the results. The pandemic closed the shop and my "mechanic" moved his business to San Rafael. Since then I've had a hard time finding "shops" that work on the vintage models. Last week I drove around to 3 different places in the City, and a Google response led me to Mission Tires at 3160 Mission. I had previously purchased most of the items necessary to replace the unknown element that was filling my garage (and the apartment directly above) with the smell of gas. I was trying to find a shop to fix the fuel "leak." It's my fault that I signed a work order for 2 line items: 1 - Fuel Smell Diagnosis (2hrs @ $175/hr) $350.00 2 - REPL CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PARTS (3HRS @ $175) $612.50 I said at the time that adopting the 2nd charged will take care of the first. In the end the $962.50 estimate was reduced $50 Bucks! I got reamed, and San Francisco Car Care / Mission Tire has a mission alright, separating "us" from our money, and little else. One of my front tire had a small dent in the rim. I went to get quotes from different tire store nearby before here. All other stores gave the only option to change all 4 tires and said they cannot fix the dent. The lowest quotes for changing 4 tires is more than $1100. I didn't want to change 4 tires since the car only had 35000 miles and it was such a small dent. My tire was completely flat and they were able to take me in same day, super last minute of me to come in, and they were able to patch up the hole in the tire. The staff was pretty nice and was able to be out in about an hour, given that it was pretty busy during the time I arrived. They give you an estimate before starting the service so there are no surprises, but I paid $25 for them to patch the tire and check all my other tires for me. Mission Tire is a wonderful, family owned tire place. When I came in with a flat, they were able to help me out in half an hour with two lightly used tires for $45 a piece plus tax. JJ was able to show me what was happening to both of my front tires and talked me through options for fixing it. All of the staff were polite, respectful, and professional. Additionally, they are willing to do free checks of tire pressure, brake inspections, suspension checks, and other minor issues. The staff are very up front about the costs of their services, and they will talk you through the different costs associated with your service. Inside the shop, you can feel the connection to the community through the multiple recognition plaques from community kids sports teams, thanking Mission Tires for sponsoring their teams.
