Miznon is a nice add to the shacks directory! They serve high quality pitas with various fillings. We've dined here several times and have always left very satisfied. The pita itself is so pillowy and stuffed with high end ingredients that make this standout from its competitors. While be price point is high, you can tell why. We've tried several dishes here and the ribeye is still our favorite! The Broken Chicken, Lamb are also very good. The hummus is so smooth. Keep up the great job team!

I've different countries, tried different foods..I always come back to the states trying to find the delicious food that I had while traveling. When I say this is by far the best falafel and Mediterranean food that I've had in the state I'm not over or under exaggerating. Don't pass this place up, definitely go and try for yourself. The chef is the nicest person you could meet and it has a nice little set up on the inside. I'm a new regular!

Tried Miznon recently and it was such a nice switch up from my usual tacos or pizza when I go to the shacks. The service was wonderful and their outdoor patio setup is so cute - you just know they take pride in what they do. Now as for the food.....YUM!!!! I was torn between the Fish N Chips Pita and the Steak Pita. The kind gentleman at the register suggested the steak and boy was it a great decision. So tender and flavorful. It was piled high with steak and all the toppings. Upon request, they provided me additional sauces for dipping. I was pleasantly surprised that the pita didn't get soggy, it held up very well. They also serve it with a grilled pepper. I personally don't love eating straight up peppers but it was so delicious, I ended up snacking on a bit of it. Miznon is a wonderful addition to the Shacks!

Given it was 12:30pm we were happy to see this place was quite full but still had a table for the 2 of us inside. There is a terrace which might be an option for our next visit. Yea you read that right, we will definitely be back. For lunch we ordered the octopus appetizer which was nice a tender, perfectly grilled and simply served with the most perfect vinaigrette. Nothing more than a little squeeze of lemon over it and you could have brought me a dozen more. But we had to save room for our mains. I chose the gyros salad and my wife the baked haddock with Greek potatoes and string beans. Both dishes were perfect. Not too fancy and just what the doctor ordered. Overheard several tables around us that they were repeat customers so we must have stumbled on to something good. So if you are thinking Greek, check this place out. You won't be disappointed

One was vegetarian (think Falafel, dolmas, etc). But the other one - The Mana You - really caught my eye: pastitsio(!!!), dolmades, chicken souvlaki, gyros, tzatziki and pita bread. + 2 sides, we got the greek beans and Lemon potatoes We opted to add a side greek salad for an additional $4.50. It also comes with a yogurt dip (so good that we asked our waiter for more and he happily obliged. We polished off every bit, but were full and satisfied. Next time I am in the area, we will be back!

The aioli is amazing, and I love the addition of pickles to it. It's super long and thin, and is always more than enough food for me even without any sides. There is a gentleman that provided excellent service. Your recognize him when you walk in the door with a salt, pepper, hair and beard. He personally brought us fresh bread to our table. I wish I had a more appetizing picture to provide, but know that the only reason I did not finish the food on my plate was because the portions were huge. Would've been much better balanced with more soda/seltzer water. The hummus brisket pastrami appetizer was solid. Really liked the caramelized onions with the hummus and pastrami. The bread was fluffy and really good, just wish they gave more than two pieces. Meat could've been hotter though. My wife got the seafood paella. Decent overall with large shrimp and mussels. She enjoyed it. The lamb shank was the huge miss for me, especially at around $40. It looked substantial at first, but the actual edible meat portion was pretty small. Most of it was dry, tough, and under-rendered around the connective tissue. For a Mediterranean restaurant, a slow-braised lamb dish should be a slam dunk, especially after it was recommended by our waitress. Service was average overall. We ordered additional drinks, but our water never got refilled during the meal. I'd probably come back if I was already in the area, but I'd stick to kebabs or other grilled items next time.

I walked in thinking I'd have a "light lunch" and walked out needing a nap and a structural engineer to check if my belt was still up to code. The Food: The hummus is so smooth I'm pretty sure it could solve international conflicts if we just gave everyone a pita bread peace treaty. I ordered the Kabob, and let me tell you, the meat was so tender it basically gave up and melted the second it saw my fork. The rice is fluffy enough to be used as a premium hotel pillow, though I wouldn't recommend sleeping on it--you'll want to eat every grain. The Experience: The staff is great, but be warned: they have a "dangerously hospitable" vibe. You'll be sitting there, minding your own business, and suddenly there's more food on your table. I didn't know if I was at a restaurant or if I'd been adopted by a Iranian family who thinks I haven't eaten since 2022. The Verdict: If you're in Frisco. TX and you want to eat until you can no longer comfortably sit behind a steering wheel, this is your spot. Come for the garlic sauce, stay because you're physically too heavy to leave. Pro Tip: Wear your "stretchy" pants. You've been warned.

We arrived as a party of five on a medium-busy Sunday evening. The tables were a reasonable distance apart, and the noise level was also fair. The food was delicious. Having not experienced authentic Turkish food before, the mention of authenticity made my group eager to give Cafe Istanbul a try. Ordering was painless and easy. There are entrees for individual meals and easy options for groups to share family-style, which we opted for. We ordered an appetizer platter with beef meatball, baba ganoush, hummus, and phyllo borek (ground beef with spices and onions inside a deep-fried phyllo wrapper). It was a bit odd that there were different amounts of each (2 meatball, 4 phyllo borek, and dollops of baba ganoush and hummus were only enough to get a small taste each) but it was balanced out by the portion size of the entree. For the entree, we opted for the mixed grill plate to share. It had chicken shish kebab, lamb kebab, adana kebab (ground lamb, pepper, and spices), grilled chicken wings, and chicken beyti (ground chicken and spices, grilled). This was served with rice and red cabbage on the side. Individually, each amount seemed small, but given that this plate was meant for two, we were still pleasantly full after polishing this off. Everything was well seasoned. The meat was juicy and perfectly cooked. I'd especially recommend the chicken beyti. The here service was swift and outstanding. We were quickly offered menus, waters, and utensils. Our waters were refilled quickly, and the kitchen took our request to plate the lamb separately in stride. The moment after my fork fell to the ground, a member of their serving staff swooped to fetch it (it was behind my chair) while another brought me a new one. It was a very well-rehearsed dance. Worth mentioning is also the fact that there were two separate groups dining that evening (a large family, and a group of friends) to celebrate a birthday. This is a restaurant worthy of birthday celebrations :) Overall, the portions are decent and filling, the food is delicious, and the service is exceptional. Consider visiting this restaurant next time you're in the area; you'll be glad that you did!
