He responded to the call in a timely manner, he was polite, kind, professional, knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and genuinely concerned about my repair and to getting me back on the road safely. Darren took his time making the assessment and repair, and he went above and beyond my expectations. While car repairs are always a little expensive, especially those unexpected ones, it was so nice to feel a high level of confidence that the repair made to my vehicle was a quality service., I could get back on the road quickly without worrying if I was going to have more problems later. Peace of mind, in an emergency is a worthy investment. These guys are awesome. They have a customer for life in me. I live out in the hill country and my truck broke down. i was told by a friend who does mechanic work that it was the fuel pump, so I spent the money and bought the part and pulled the bed off my truck and watched a couple youtube videos on how to replace it and the fuel filter... Well, that wasn't it. And the cost of having it towed to a garage and have them run a diagnostic on it was too much for my single mother shoestring budget. So after googling Austin auto shops, I took a chance and called the first mobile mechanic service. The phone receptionist was friendly, understood my dilemma and assisted in setting me up with one of their many experienced staff of mechanics. He came out and within 20 minutes, knew what the problem was, my timing belt had broke, and gave me a workable estimate on getting it fixed. He was knowledgeable and friendly and didn't mind me watching while he worked 'cause, I am curious by nature. When he came out to fix it, he had it done in 2 hours and gave me pointers on things I could fix on my truck myself while he was working, AND taught me a little more about my truck. Now I know my water pump is going out, and I am totally going to have Mobile Auto Clinic back out to fix it. These guys are truly wonderful! read more

I live in Leander and I've used Mobile Auto Clinic twice now - both experiences were very good. =) Mechanics are very professional! 1) First experience was with a standard maintenance service. Had the timing belt on an Odyssey changed out. The mechanic came out and also had an assistant (a runner) on stand by in case the mechanic needed anything not on hand. In my case the runner ran to get an engine mount (they showed me where one was failing). The owners are on call in case the mechanic needs any input or research done on the best way to remove something (like the crank bolt/etc). 2) Second experience was with an AC that was not functioning. M.A.C. arrived early to do trouble shooting and filled the system with freon and some UV dye to help locate the leak. AC is currently working! This is truly a luxury service as you can relax with your family in the comfort of your home (especially nice if you have young children like I do). If you want OEM parts, or to use parts that you have on hand, just ask them. The management team is very friendly and if you're not careful - you'll learn something when these guys come out. =) I would definitely use these guys again! read more

Mobile Auto Clinic came to my home as scheduled and performed some standard services which was fine. I then requested work to be done to my motor that required them to take it to a shop. I had no idea they would be taking it to the opposite side of the city from my home in south Austin. This was never communicated to me. While the vehicle was up there I requested work on my air conditioner. They never contacted me when the work was done and when I finally contacted them, they said they would not bring the car back to me so I needed to find a ya to get it in around Rock myself. When I arrived, there was no one there to assist with getting my keys so I had to ask around several shops in the area. I found my car in a dirty littered parking lot. As I began to drive, I noticed the air was not working. I requested a refund for this portion of the work and it was never refunded. I would not recommend these guys. read more

Ben quoted me 1/3 the cost for the same part and labor that Oak Hill Automotive wanted to charge me, they claimed my alternator was fouled up and they couldn't give me an inspection sticker without replacing it, a very expensive repair on a old mercedes. Ben found that there was ZERO problem with the alternator, diagnosed my car on site with his tester, and charged me a very small fee for his drive across down....he was prepared to replace my alternator, but thankfully is an honest mechanic, and figured out I didn't need one. I then took my car to an inspection station, they verified that there was NOTHING wrong with my car...thank you thank you Auto Medic of Austin. They do advise to take it to a shop for large repairs, but they saved me a BUNCH of money. Ben was polite, let me know what was going on at each step, and is honest.... read more

I've had mobile auto clinic out to work on my truck twice. I have a 1 ton diesel and some mechanics shy away from that or won't work on them at all but the guys they send out really know their sh**. Last time I called I thought I had something busted inside my axle but it ended up being a mounting bracket for my driveshaft (wtf?) Jeremy did awesome work, and didn't seem to mind that the job lasted past normal working hours. I had to wait a day to get the part since it was late but he was back the next morning working in the rain to finish the job. Prices are fair, they come to you, and you know when the work will be done and what it'll cost beforehand. I'll definitely use them again. read more

Jeremy from Arkansas was amazing!! We were passing through Austin and having trouble with our AC when we found this company on yelp. We came to Jeremy with a diagnosis from a toyota dealership and he worked through the complicated problem even after he realized the dealership diagnosis was wrong. He was extremely friendly and explained every step of the process. We made a same day appointment on a Saturday and we were out in a couple hours! We were able to use salvaged parts, even though other mechanics wouldn't work with us. Also, these mechanics literally come to you! (They bring their tools to wherever your car is) Definitely ask for Jeremy if you need a mechanic!! read more

Alternator went out on my German car. I called the dealer and 3 foreign repair shops and was shocked. Sure we have supply chain issues but I still thought that $1,900 was too high to swap an alternator. Not to mention the soonest any of them could get me in was 6 weeks out. Apparently it takes 6 weeks for the Mercedes dealer to get an alternator for a 2017 c300. They should hire me because I found a new OEM replacement and had it in hand in 3 days... but I soon found out I suck as a mechanic. I called Mobile auto clinic and they sent someone out the SAME DAY. I won't discuss prices but let's just say I felt obliged to tip- A MECHANIC. These are your guys, ask for Ben. read more

A mechanic that comes to you? Does it get any more convenient? This was my first time using a mobile service and after using Mobile Auto Clinic I am never going back to waiting around at a garage. I had a car that needed the battery terminals replaced and called to schedule an appointment. Ashley was amazing providing me a fast quote and getting me in the very next day as I requested. Darren showed up on time, even calling me 30 minutes prior (as promised) to let me know when he would be there. Tim Muehleib was a Rock Star. He was professional and personable from the start. He called ahead of time and gave me an ETA to make sure I knew he was coming. He got right to the point asked me a few questions to understand the problem and got to work immediately. His assessment and the fix were accurate and timely. Tim also let me know the reason why I had the problem, the cause and explained the fix. He also noted a few other things that could cause a problem in the future and ways to avoid them. I had just slightly damaged my tire by running over a curb, and was standing by the car on the phone with my insurance agent. All of a sudden I see an Auto Medic car parking nearby and I asked the mechanic if he could help me, even though I'm sure he was busy. The mechanic was very professional and was more than happy to check on my tire and diagnose any problems. He even helped scrape some of the damaged rubber. All I could think was that this was a very helpful company and I will definitely be taking my car in to them for any questions or repairs in the future. This business RULES! My car was acting up and I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a tow truck or try my luck to drive it to an auto place and feel obligated to use their service. I contacted Mobile Auto Clinic and spoke with Ashley. She was amazing. Set up an appointment for someone to come take a look at my car the next day. They had appts for day of, but it didn't work with my schedule. The next day Tim came out and ran a diagnostic. Found out what was wrong with my car and fixed it in my driveway within hours. Simply awesome! My wife and I found ourselves stranded in Austin with a car that would not make it home, barely even started. The Autozone place (which were also very helpful) gave me this card and I called to see if they could help. It was a Sunday afternoon and they got out in a little over an hour to help us. The cost was inline with normal auto repair costs and no additional costs for coming to us. The person they sent was extremely kind and explained everything. My family and I have been using Mobile Auto Clinic for years and they have serviced multiple vehicles on belts, AC, hoses, and electrical issues. Ben the owner is fantastic and responsive, and always saves the day by coming when we need to get our vehicles running again! I love the convenience of having the mechanic come to me, especially when we're down a car. Last weekend, when the electrical on our van went out, I texted Ben on Sunday morning and Jeremy was out on Monday morning completing the repair. Ben Is pretty much a rock star. When my car wouldn't start early on a Saturday morning, I didn't know what to do, since I work weekends, but my mechanic doesn't. I had just had a new battery put in, so I thought it must be my starter or my alternator. Ben rolls up (exactly on time, btw!) and says he wants to try a couple quick fixes first before replacing anything. I was amazed to have a direct line to my mobile mechanic before he arrived and to have his undivided attention once we began to discuss the issue with my truck. Can't recommend Ben with Austin Auto Medic enough. Very convenient and easy to work with in terms of scheduling appointments. He fixed the problem with our Jeep in our driveway, charging a more than fair rate. When it turned out that there was an extra minor problem with the same issue, he came out and fixed it for free.
