Yummy teas. For the milk teas, they don't have any non-dairy options... I asked and they said they only have milk. Sad face. I like their refreshing jasmine green tea 75% sweet. I tried 50% sweet, but this is a full undiluted Jasmine so I need a little extra sweetness to take the bitterness away. Great news that it's not watered down. Hubby and I like the original mochi dog crunchy and chewy with a nice yummy hotdog & half hotdog/half mozzarella inside. Not excited that it's $.75 for a sweet chili sauce... I might bring my own next time...LOL I do like that they now have the instant Ramen option... Haven't used it yet because I can make that at home but it's nice to know I can make it out if needed... When you have a yummy chewy crispy mochinut hotdog, what else do you need?!? They have a great product, but my issues that make it a four star versus a five star are that they are not open on Monday and Tuesday and that's usually when I want to go...boohoo :-( Also, They charge I think $.60 if you use your credit card but they do have options like Cash, Zelle and Venmo that don't charge for paying those ways. All the various little upcharges are slightly bothersome... But the positive side to that is I can choose to not add those things and save some money while still enjoying the basic Mochinut experience... as long as it's not Monday or Tuesday.... I'm assuming that Monday and Tuesday were not busy enough for them and they had to do their best to utilize their staff on the other days and it seems that they chose to be open on the weekends over Monday and Tuesday, which is probably a good business decision... So I'd rather them stick around because they make good decisions for their business, even though they're kinda not available when I want. It's better to have them survive in this hard California business climate. There is nothing like Mochinut, so we can all compromise a bit. So there you go if I didn't have any issues with open days & upcharges, they'd have a five star based on product & service. read more

We visited this Mochinut location on Jefferson St at Palm Desert thrice. It's a big cool eatery with plenty of dining tables and chairs inside. It has a very modern set up. Great ambiance. Great natural lighting coming into the establishment due to its huge windows and doors. It has a coffee shop and book store feel with art pieces on the walls. Excellent customer service at this Mochinut location. We were greeted and our food items were ready within a few minutes. We ordered Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Hot Cheetos Korean Corndog, Ube Mochinut, Coffee Churros Mochinut, Chocolate Mochinut, Strawberry Cream Mochinut and Red Velvet Mochinut. As always, all the Mochinuts are baked fresh. They are soft and sweet but not too sweet. The Hot Cheetos Korean Corndog was good. It has the right amount of spice. I have been here a couple times and it's always full. It's very nicely decorated and always clean despite there always being a lot of people coming in and out. Their donuts are delicious and the texture is something really neat and definitely something everyone should try because they are different than regular donuts but just as delicious. Everyone is always nice and helpful. I love that this time from the past times I've visited there seems to be a lot of more stuff on the menu like their garlic fries. I was sad they didn't have any more so we couldn't try them out but this means another trip for a later time. We did go late almost before closing which is why they were all out of their fries. My potatoe mozzarella was yummy. I dipped it in ketchup definitely stoled the show! Also all our drinks were great. I will how ever comment that as a person who loves Hot Cheetos and is addicted to them the Hot Cheeto half and half hotdog was very disappointing. This was my first time trying a Korean corn dog. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a pepper Jack cheese stick with flamin' hot Cheetos. But what really upsets me is when I come in there's the same old man who I assume is manager doing absolutely nothing to help his staff. Very slow moving here. Waited 20 minutes in a line of 6-8 people. Then was told that anyone wanting corn dogs would have to wait 30 minutes. I got 3 mochinut's and the boba milk tea. The mochinut's were cold. Delicious. But cold. I fell like they would have been better if they were warm. And they're $3.50 each. Like, damn! They're way overpriced. The boba was delicious. But was $6.00. To small to be that much. The best part, is the Russian roulette you get to play with covid with the two white chicks not wearing their masks properly. Very nice and cute place inside, definitely makes you want to stay and enjoy your food or drink in there. Sadly, it's too pricey for what it is. Ordered a donut and it was hard and dry. It should've at least been reheated. We also ordered a Thai tea and accidentally spilled it on the floor and the staff just stood there acting surprised until we apologized for spilling it, they got it cleaned up. I wasn't offered a replacement, which I would've declined anyway because it tasted far from a Thai tea, it was extremely watered down. Also, the older woman who took our order didn't recommend or offer any sauces so we didn't get to fully enjoy the Korean corn dogs since they were so plain. The Mochinut donuts are so delicious! At first we ordered 1 churro 1 Nutella & 1 strawberry funnel and our favorite was strawberry funnel so we ordered 2 more!! The Mochinut are very light and not super sweet which I love! We also ordered a mozzarella corn dog with potato and it was pretty good the ketchup and mustard are free! Everything here is delicious. It's a chain but it doesn't taste like it. The donuts have lovely airy and unique flavors. The dogs and cheese sticks are so yummy and fun to eat. I believe the toilets were gender neutral, which I always like. The atmosphere was dreamy and the folks helping at the counter were super nice. Was driving by and happened to see this location and pulled up to get something for myself and my girls (7 & 9). The folks that worked there were extremely nice and the store interior was open with lots of seating. I ordered 2 of the original Corn Dogs (with cheese) for the girls and one with Potato (with a hotdog) for myself. It took a little while but they made them to order so they came out fresh and hot. My coworker said that he was going to pick up some things at Mochinut and what I requested and had was really good. I ate a black sesame and chocolate almond mochinut. The consistency was chewy and not as sweet as regular donuts which I really liked. I felt like I could eat multiple mochi donuts and not feel as guilty compared to regular donuts. My favorite donut was the black sesame one. And then I also got a potato half and half corn dog. I loved it, it was so delicious. I don't really like regular corndogs and the regular batter, it tends to be too sweet for me and doesn't compliment the hot dog. But this was really savory and good. We ordered 2 drinks they only put in one. We were waiting and then the female asked if we were waiting for something. She Had an attitude when she realized she didn't catch the second drink I ordered. I get it mix ups happen it was lowkey loud in there. Made sure to say that it was fine and ordered my drink. The Tiger Milk is my favorite, but today my husband and I did a latte with Boba definitely recommend and I always get their corndogs cheese half corndog they love the hot Cheeto one but today I did the potato. So disappointed! I went in ready to to wait a while, as with most new places in the valley (Dutch Bros across the street used to have at least 10+ cars waiting at all times and now I typically only see 1-2 cars at any time). I went around 7pm on a Sunday and they had only 5 donut flavors. The cashier was nice and helpful and said our boba drinks would take around 2 more minutes because they were waiting for cups (ended up being around 10-15 mins). I saw a lot of things that made me pause, like an employee fixing their bangs with gloves on only to return to touching the donuts. Another employee opened a new gallon of milk and just threw the seal on the floor. The floors were a bit sticky and receipts were on the floor. I don't mind waiting but the place has no AC and for some reason the fans were all off - the heat did make start to feel flushed. Music started playing halfway through our visit, which I thought was odd. Someone seems to have been painting a mural which made it awkward to get out. Something I thought was super odd is that there was a "couple" next to us seemingly on a date and when one of them hugged them goodbye and said "nice meeting you", the other person went behind the counter and started working LOL Lastly, the fire extinguisher was just randomly sitting on the counter! Now, for the food...my milk tea was decent but the cup is completely filled with ice and it wasn't even filled to the top, which, for $6 (boba is extra) is just disappointing. The boba clumped at the end so I couldn't even finish the boba. The mochinuts are small, I got a dozen so they were $2.50 each. To be honest, they don't stand out or have a particularly special taste. Just dough with some flavor, I don't think I would go back and pay $3.50 for one. I went there at 1050 and there was already about 4 people in front of me. They ended up announcing that their credit card system was down and went to post signs on the doors. I went across the street to the Walgreens to use the atm along with 3 other people loool. No big deal. This place is still new and things are bound to happen. I wish they had an option to sugar coat it because other places that had this had this option and it was sooo good together with ketchup and mustard. Doughnuts are the special flavors when I went. I wanted their black sesame and matcha ones but they didn't have those in stock. This place is still new. You definitely need to have patience and go with an open mind. The mochi donuts here are so good! I haven't tried them before but they have these very soft and chewy texture and cream that just explodes inside of your mouth. Service was prompt, employees were kind and provided good recommendations. Seems like the staff have a slight attitude, but you'd have an attitude if you were working in a hot environment with little to no cooling. The Churro Mochinut is amazing.
