Not the greatest experience. First and last time. I placed my order online. Just to save time. I walk in not a hello or nothing. They're helping a customer because he found something in his pizza. I told him I made an order online and the guy tells me because he had something in his pizza. I had to wait and he had to do his pizza over again. Granted I had ordered this online. I wanted to fall in love with MOD Pizza, since I was lured here by the cheap price of $8.47 for a pizza with unlimited toppings. My excitement was quickly squashed once I saw their sorry excuse for a crust. It was wafer-thin and in no way resembled a soft dough. If you had told me it was a cauliflower crust, it would have totally explained its appearance. I can't say the toppings looked that appetizing. I added tomatoes, mushrooms and sausage. The sausage reminded me of the one from Celeste's frozen pizza. The pizza crust is super thin, almost crackerlike. The pizza was ok, decent for the price. Even though I ate my entire pizza, thanks to that thin crust, I was still hungry afterwards The employees here are nicer than over at Blaze on Sepulveda (where you could feel their misery). The dining area is way more pleasant than the Blaze, too. Plus, they play music from when I was growing up, like The Smiths. Mod Pizza is wonderful. There are other pizza places that are similar, but I'm not going to list, or mention the competition. I will say that Mod Pizza is fantastic, and I'm very happy. Mod Pizza is fully customizable, to whatever you want, and you have full control over your pizza. The pizza here, tastes amazing. I don't have any complaints at all. You get to decide the pizza, to your liking. They have many toppings that have available. You also get to decide what crust you want. Thin crust, or thick crust. They also have gluten free, and cauliflower crust. After you dress, and modify your pizza, the way you want, it's cooked in the oven, fresh. So that's nice. Mod Pizza is great, and the service you get here is perfect. The employees are nice and kind as well. I did order to go, but if you wanted to Dine in, you can. The restaurant it self was nice. Good pizza, slow service. Came on a Sunday after placing an online order. My online order was two custom pizzas. After placing the order, it said it would be ready at 815pm. I get to Mod to pick up my pizzas a little after 815pm and it's quite busy. I go to the online order pickup and there are no pizzas ready. I wait as other names are called and then 25 minutes later I'm told they haven't even started my order yet. I ask why since the order was placed online and the guy says it doesn't matter if you order ahead it doesn't save you time. I finally get the pizzas 30 minutes after they were supposed to be ready. The North Hollywood location is still closed for Covid19, but this place was open, and this location is just as good as the North Hollywood location. I guess I haven't had Mod Pizza in a long time, because I just discovered that Mod Pizza is now offering a spicy red sauce. I will come back just to try the spicy red sauce, because the guy at the counter didn't offer it to me. I realized there was a new red sauce just by looking at the table of ingredients. What's remarkable about the Culver City Mod Pizza, is that this location is $2.00 cheaper than the North Hollywood location. Weird. I guess rent is more expensive in North Hollywood. Not all Mod Pizza locations are the same. I've had the Mod Pizza in City of Industry, and that location wasn't very good. Doesn't matter any more because the City of Industry location is closed for good. read more

This was my first time trying this pizza place and got the custom 11" pizza and added a ton of veggies - roasted red peppers, jalapeños, pineapple, roasted garlic, olives, oregano, onions, mushrooms, pesto on top, and Parmesan/mozzarella cheese. My favorite thing about this place is the flat rate for the pizza - I loaded my pizza with veggie toppings and there was no extra cost for any of them - and the pizza itself was about $11 which is a great deal for the size. I actually found their vegetarian ingredients to be an variety, especially the roasted broccoli. In addition, they have the best tasting pizza crust of the popular chains I've tried (Pieology, Blaze Pizza, and The Pizza Press). The crust is thicker throughout and is crisper. I made a vegan pizza, and was pleased that the pizza cooked evenly and that the center did not get soggy or wet. I honestly don't know why I haven't been to mod sooner. You make your own pizzas and their toppings are so yummy. I love that they have vegan meat alternatives because not everyone eats meat! They're always helpful and nice. Their salads aren't bad either! I kind of wish the dressings were less sweet. Otherwise I like that I can get mini salads or large. Got the Dominic pizza today for lunch because I had to stop by CVS and thought that I should treat myself because it's a Friday! Also, yeah, I still need to just try more places around Culver. Pizza rating: 3/5. If I'm being completely honest I'd choose Blaze Pizza over MOD Pizza in a heartbeat. I just felt like the default crust at MOD was so flimsy, and overall my pizza felt lacking. I've never felt this way at Blaze ever. I did read that MOD has a thicker crust option, so I may try that if I ever come here again. But I'd say between MOD and Blaze, come to MOD if you're trying to be marginally healthier, but go for Blaze if you want taste. Service rating: 5/5. The people here were so nice! I'd love to come back just because of that. I will note that a lot of people were placing their orders online to go, so that's an option. Man, this is a hard call because I really like how the pizza comes out, but the customer service here is really lacking. The people that work here really seem like they don't like their jobs, that is sad! It really seems like you are inconveniencing them if you order something. They are consistent even when the line get crazy. They are are very friendly & receptive. I have never had an issue with them getting your order right or having a "mood" . If you are a regular they will remember you, even your likes. From my very first visit, to my 20th they are dope!!! Ambience: As far as the restaurant itself The bathroom is always immaculate on all occasions I have visited. They have a good rotation with keeping the plate collection below full, & trash never overflowing. The building has high ceilings & cement floors, so when it's full... it is LOUD. But they offer a nice seating area outside to enjoy a quieter dine in. They offer booth seating as well as y'all table tops with stools. For an area like culver and a plethora of other stores in the lot, they offer semi private parking. Usually there is somewhere to park in that area or close by. Food: They have great drink options outside of soda. Yummy Marion berry lemonade !!! Regular lemonade ( I don't enjoy as much as I did previously, I think the company hanged the formula from fresh lemons to something else) The same changes noted above seem to apply to the pear tea and the classic tea. Nevertheless they offer it. The have some pretty darn delicious & thick shakes. I imagine if they had some malt it would be out of this world. Pricing is reasonable for the shakes; small 3.77 and large 4.07 They offer wines, beer, in both pitcher and by the bottle. So something for parents and kids. The pizza itself is very affordable. They offer mini or a regular that will supply lunch for the kiddos the next day. There is no limit to the amount of toppings. They offer garlic pizza dippers and a sweet pizza option. They have pre-made pizza assortments or you can make your own creation. That applies to the salads as well. They have all the sauces necessary and dressings. TIP: little do people know you can do double crust. VEGAN OPTIONS : cauliflower crust! This is by far my quick go to for dinner last minute But it is good for any occasion! read more

Quick-made pizzas are all the rage these days and in my opinion MOD is the top of the trend. I'm talking about MOD, Blaze, Pieology and others, places where you order whatever you want and they build it right in front of you, cranking it out of the oven in under 10 minutes. Think Subway but for pizzas where you can have allllll the toppings you want. I can't really see ordering from the typical delivery/pickup chains again, I never know if they're going to get it right and they damn sure don't listen when I ask for "a shit ton of onions" on my pizza. Does "shit ton" sound like I mean eight little rings of onion? No, it sounds like I want eighty big ass rings of onion. I order from these places, I come by to pickup, and when I pop it open to see what we've got I almost always find the toppings looking lazy as hell. But now it's too late, they already made me this mediocre crap pizza and I'm stuck. But at MOD I can watch it go down and make sure I get all the onions I could ever want along with like a dozen other toppings, never worrying about up charges. Bonus points for MOD as the only one of these chains that doesn't charge extra for vegan cheese which you get nailed for an extra $2 at Blaze/Pieology. Pair that with the fact the crew that works this place is always upbeat and eager to help, why would I go back to the rest? On my last visit Josh and Tushana did amazing work, building me the perfect pie while making sure to swap out gloves and get fresh-from-the-cooler ingredients to make sure I avoided accidentally getting any dairy mixed up with my food. Both were super pleasant and wanted to help my girl and I out, the pizzas were awesome AND we didn't have to worry about stray non-vegan cheese ending up on our plates. Because of those two I think we had our best visit yet which is notable since we *always* have good service here. The pizzas are fast, they're accurate, you can pile up toppings until you're blue in the face, and the staff just wants to give you exactly what you're looking for. Everything right down the the crust is awesome about this place and they will get your order out probably as fast as an In N Out burger to be honest. The staff here are super friendly and everyone from the cashier down to the line chiefs are great to be around and have a quick chat with. The parking situation is easy and there is ample parking no matter of you're here on the weekends or week days. The pizza itself is something you might find at a gourmet pizza place on Santa Monica, but at a fraction of the cost. They have sweet toppings from your standard Italian sausage to roasted garlic and cilantro! If you want to get your drink on they have beer too! Like Mod Pizza it's one of my favorite create your own quick pizza chains - my only complaint with the Culver location is the employees never wipe down the tables. This is true even if the place is empty and the employees will be standing around chatting - dear manager if you read this give em some motivation to wipe down the tables. Other then that very tasty - never had a shake here tho wonder how they taste? Update 2019 all employees seem to not wanna be there and the friendliness is now gone. We are such big fans of Mod Pizza. The cauliflower crust is excellent and doesn't make you miss real dough at all, but when you do eat regular crust it is also pretty top notch! Michael helped us out today and gave us exactly what we were looking for! The roasted garlic is fantastic and I always say I will take as much of it as you're willing to part with. :) thanks to Mod we were also introduced to Mikes Hot Honey, a great pizza dipper along with their ranch. And mamas lil sweet hot Peppas is also a special item not found elsewhere (to my knowledge). Prior to Covid we came here Tuesday nights for $2 drafts of delicious Cali beers, really hoping they will bring that back one day! At least they're still serving them regularly for $5 & they have pitchers too. Missing the draft juice options as well!
