Some of the best pizza I ever ate. Wow, was not expecting that since I've been to MOD so many other times. Not sure how they did it, but something about that pizza was super yummy. I love MOD, they are so convenient. You walk up to the counter, tell them you want the thick crust because of course you're gonna order way too many toppings and you'll need the thick crust to hold it all up. When I heard about a MOD pizza opening in the Target shopping center, I was super excited. I had never been to a MOD pizza before but I did hear it was similar to Blaze where you can pick your own toppings at a flat rate, so, that was enough to reel me in. I love Blaze but I hated having to drive down Sunrise during rush hour. My husband went yesterday and picked me up a gluten-free pizza with red sauce, dairy-free cheese, chicken, pineapple, and balsamic fig glaze. When my husband returned, he said the employees there were all super bubbly and nice, even maybe a little too nice. They even greet you loudly as soon as you walk in. They worked fast to make the pizza and didn't skimp on the ingredients -- nothing's worse than going to a place like this and having to constantly ask the employees if they can add a little more of each topping. The pizza itself was very good. The crust had a perfectly chewy and soft consistency. I dare say that it tasted better than Blaze's, and definitely better than Pieology's! The pineapples were also the sweetest I've tasted out of the other make-your-own pizza places. The balsamic fig glaze was drizzled lightly on the pizza, which I appreciated, because some places go overboard and the taste of the glaze overpowers the pizza. Compared to Blaze's pizza, the crust was also thicker. When I order a Blaze pizza, I can usually finish the whole thing in two sittings -- right at dinner and then, a few hours later. But not with the MOD pizza. It was more dense and I only ended up eating half of it last night. The price, even after you added the extra $2 for the gluten-free crust, was a tad cheaper than Blaze's at $11.33. But, I will say one thing I was disappointed about was the high calorie count of the gluten-free crust compared to Blaze and Pieology. At Blaze, the calories for the gluten-free crust are 430, at Pieology it's 364, but at MOD it is a whopping 640! On the other hand, their crust does seem thicker and is more dense, so it's not too huge of an issue, unless you plan on finishing the whole meal in one sitting. Overall, I really enjoyed this pizza and look forward to returning! It's nice knowing there is a local make-your-own pizza spot that's down the street from me and offer gluten-free/vegan options. read more

I love MOD Pizza. They're always friendly and the food is typically very good. There are only 2 minor complaints... While the employees are always wonderful, I can never hear them when they go through there litany of questions while making your food. Either they talk too fast or they talk too quiet. I just smile and ask them to repeat themselves. The other issue is the quality of the lettuce. The spring mix is generally always fresh but every time I want a salad the regular head lettuce or romaine mix is generally pretty wilted and not overly appealing. I always get the spring mix or spinach. Other than that - awesome place! I recently tried the gluten free crust and it was marvelous. My pizza is always perfect and my salads are super yummy. I love, love, love the marionberry/blackberry lemonade. The store is always clean and the staff are always wonderful. I love the variety of toppings and ooooh, the roasted garlic is awesome! I was very excited to have a MOD Pizza location so close to my house. I prefer MOD Pizza much more than Pieology since their pizzas aren't always soggy and limp. This review is mostly based on the online/in-store service I received. I ordered a mini (6 inch pizza) online so I could skip the line and just pick up my food. When I came in to pick up my food, I went to the cashier and told him that I had an order to pick up. He then tells me that it was going to be $7 and I told him I already paid for it online. A little mistake, no biggie. He then tells me to go stand over to the side and that someone will bring my pizza to me. I stand there awkwardly for about 3-4 minutes and then I go sit down to wait for my food. 15 minutes have passed and about 8 other people ahead of me got their food before me. At this point I regret ordering online when I could've just came in and ordered my food in-store and at least my food would've been ready quicker. Finally, one of the workers asks me if I had an online order and I told them yes. She then tells me, "Oh, no one told me," and just hands me my box. Not even a simple apology. My food was ready but the workers failed to communicate with each other that there was an online pickup. I took my food home and noticed that it was missing a few things that I had wanted in the order. Other than that, the pizza was okay. It was a little cold because I waited so long for the pickup. Overall, I do enjoy the pizza here it's just the online order situations need to be handled better, since online orders should be easy and efficient. We frequently visit this location and it seems like it gets worse after every visit. The pizza is fine but the cleanliness of the place is lacking attention. The tables are always dirty and you either have to clean them yourself or just take your order to go. Obviously from my photos people are cleaning their own tables and just brushing stuff on the floor. This is just a recipe disaster and an invitation to rodents and bugs. This location doesn't even deserve one star! My daughter and and I walked in at 9pm 11/19/21 to order pizza, they close at 930. We were the only customers there with 3 females and 1 male working behind the counter. For 5 minutes, not one employee looked up at us or even made eye contact to take our order, instead they were busy trying to close up the restaurant. I ended up with a Mad Dog with onions, garlic, green peppers and black olives...NO tomatoes. Since MOD was being built I had been counting down the days till opening. Being so close to The Mather Flight Facility it was in a perfect location. From the beginning late summer 2018 it was great to call in an order, drive over, and grab it just to be back in around 10 minutes during fire season. Upon returning from deployment we had the SAO lunch party here which was highly discounted and went off without a hitch. MOD always has excellent vegan options to include dairy free cheese. I will always be a fan of MOD especially this location due to great staff, geographical location, beverage/beer selection, military discount, and fast service. I would only hope that they pickup their phone for phone orders more recently as I wasn't able to get anyone on the number provided. Makes my 30 minute fed tech lunch limited due to waiting in line for food but I was able to write this review in the amount of time provided. Keep up the great job MOD! read more

My wife raved about this pizza place as she and her co workers go there all the time. Since they had gluten free options I said "Lets go!" Boy am I glad we did. Their gluten free crust is delicious and the gang is very sensitive and careful about celiac's need not to have any cross contamination. They even ask you, "Gluten sensitivity or choice?" They even have a designated gluten free pizza cutter to cut the pizza. Most toppings are also gluten free! Their one area of cross contamination is their oven. They do not have a special area set aside for the gluten free pies. So if you have a hyper gluten sensitivity you still cannot eat here. : ( All in all it was a great meal. I'm beginning to like this place. I've been here twice now and both times were great (both times are around lunchtime - 11ish). When you first pull in to the parking lot, it kind of catches your eye with the outdoor design. Several outside seats and tables with covers from the sun and lighting to light up the summer nights. Plenty of parking...its in the same complex as Target and jamba juice (its actually behind jamba juice)...but MOD pretty much has its own parking section. When you walk in...you notice how clean and bright the place is. Several of employees greet you and welcome you to the restaurant. For those of you who've been to pieology and/or blaze...MOD is similar. You can either choose one of their signature pizza...or build your own. You can also modify one of their signature pizza, which is what I did both times. They have a line of ingredients out on display and you can look and pick and choose your toppings on the pizza. Once you picked out all your toppings, it doesn't take long for them to cook the pizza (around 5 mins?). The pizza taste great! Full of flavors...nothing was dry or overcooked. Portions are pretty decent...I ate the whole pizza and was satisfied (the fat boy in me could have eaten more though...but the semi fat man in me who's trying to maintain his chubby figure...was happy). Overall a great place! Friendly staff, plenty of seatings, and most importantly...PIZZA! I work nearby, so I'll be coming again when I'm craving pizza. read more

Great customer service! I didn't notice that we were charged for the 11" pizzas until after when we ordered 6". Instead of refunding me $6, the employee gave me a full refund for all the pizzas! I let her know that it was way too much! She said not to worry about it. I gave them the $20 as their tip instead. 6" is definitely a snack sized pizza but really great when the kids aren't looking to eat more. This was a really disappointing experience. I walked in on my lunch hour ans was super happy to see that I was the only customer there. As in no one in line and no one waiting. There were three employees there making pizzas and the first thing they said to me was that they were doing a large internet order and that it would be a wait because of that. So again, I'm the ONLY ONE there. They could pause to assist me when there are three of them? I get that internet orders are huge right now. But what happened to helping in person customers too? I was super excited to see that MOD was opening up down the street from my house! My husband and I frequent Blaze and love it but sunrise is better avoided so I couldn't wait to try out MOD. Everyone was really friendly when we went in and it was very clean. We were placing a semi large order for 4 pizzas and a big salad. One thing that got rather confusing was when they were assembling the pizzas we had 4 different people assembling and no one knew what was going on from the previous person and with 4 pizzas it got a little all over the place. As a whole I was happy with the topping choices. I was missing a couple of my Blaze variety but I was happy enough. I did a build your own and all in all it was pretty good. I will say that the crust wasn't all that flavorful and the white sauce was not flavorful at all. I am going to go with a different sauce for sure next time I go. Well I literally just left this location about 10 minutes ago. Parked and inhaled my pizza within minutes, I didn't even care about how hot it was because it was sooooooo good. Came in on my lunch break, was slightly overly-greated but I understand, it's part of the job as many places require everyone to say welcome once a person walks in, very nice employees too. Never been to a mod pizza before but have been to places similar- I was never a huge fan of the other places but I'd figure I'd give this place a shot and man oh man am I glad I did! I love how each topping isn't an additional cost- that's how many pizza companies screw you. But I was able to get exactly what I wanted (which is very simple anyways) and it didn't cost me extra.
