Pizzas were hot and tasty ! They have a wall menu of some of their specialty pizza . But making your own pizza is the way to go. You can add as much or as little of any topping you like . They have a lot of fresh toppings, and a handful of protein options . My husband chose the original crust where as I went with a cauliflower crust . It's fun to pick out your toppings and then they pop it into the oven for a few minutes and it comes out piping hot . I was very pleased with my excellent MOD pizza and my self serve soda for dinner . I could not finish my pizza so I took half home and finished the leftovers the next day . For what it is MOD pizza is five stars . Fresh hot crispy thin crust pizza made your way , for very reasonable price . They had a few salad offers if wanted some extra greens , but they looked fairly basic. The interior space is modern and pleasant. They also have outside seating and string lights . Due to the weather I decided to order online only to be disappointed when I arrived home. When I order in person, my pizza looks a lot like the pictures of the reviews on here. As you can see the receipts I provided one is supposed to have beef added and both jalapeños. The pizzas weren't well made. They look like whoever made them counted the ingredients while placing them on my pizzas. (If you zoom in you'd see very few pieces of meat and a whole lot of sauce) People who order online and people who order in person are both the same paying customers. If you're in need for a nice quick pizza, this pizza is serviceable and will get the job done. However, I would love to see them work on their crust because it's not great. You can custom make your pizza easily. Much like chipotle you choose your toppings and they put it in the oven for you. Every pizza is personal sized so you can get exactly what you want. They must have changed the manager if they did big mistake cause it's not the same place anymore. The two stations that have changed to is not the best. Yes! My current favorite of the quick fire pizza chains in the area. This is old reliable before heading over to the Arden Century for a movie! They have a better price and better variety of pizza toppings at this location. Once or twice I've found that even includes roasted mushrooms! Yummy yum! For less than $10 you can have a crapton of toppings on the mod size pizza, and there's a gluten free option! (For extra $ they offer a thicker crust option as well.) my current favorite pizza is: red sauce, mozzarella, ricotta glops, diced onions, roasted garlic, all the available mushrooms, and pepperonis. Yum! They have multiple veggie and meat choices. On our last visit, my boo ordered a delicious looking salad for about $9. At least 6 beers are usually available, along with your standard drink options. If you order a fountain drink, they have fresh teas and lemonade in addition to the soda machine. I like the mix these together...mmmm. This is the only rapid fire pizza place that has so many drizzle choices before or after the pizza goes in the oven. As I said before, pizzas take little time at all to come out, maybe 5 minutes? We always have our booth available, whether I'm with my bf, my movie buddy, or both. Of all the make your own pizza chains, MOD is my favorite. Their crust is perfectly crispy but still holds up to the mountain of toppings that I like to ad to my pie. They never skimp on ingredients but the pizza doesn't come out overloaded or raw in the middle,which is what happens when you put on too many toppings. I've been to several locations prior to this one and the quality is consistent no matter which one you go to, which is a rare achievement for many chain places. Service also tends to be very friendly at MOD. Each of the locations have really friendly staff who take their time with your order. No matter how busy they are, I never feel rushed. I get my pizza exactly the way I want it. I ask for them to make the crust extra crispy and they do, without burning the crust. Can't say enough great things about MOD! read more

On Saturday for Free Museum Day they were doing a Bogo deal on their pizzas so of course we had to check it out! I went with their Create your own Pizza and decided on a pesto sauce with a good amount of veg, chicken, bacon and of course the classic sprinkle of parmesan cheese to top it off. All I can say is wow, honestly the best pizza I've ever had, from the delicious pesto, crisp bacon, lots of flavorful chicken, veggies and the cheese passed the pull test! Not to mention they don't skimp on the toppings which I love, I finished all but 2 slices and it taste just as good the next day! To drink I had their Vintage Lemonade which is made in house and has a good ratio of both tart and sweet, it was delicious and you could tell it was freshly squeezed! For dessert the district manager surprised us with the No Name Cake to share, essentially a Ding Ding, it was good! He also personally came to our table later and talked about how the company came to be and how supportive they are to the employees and turns out he was at the Yelp Elite Event in Rancho Cordova I attended! I would highly recommend stopping by this location, the employees are treated right and treat their customers right in return, the service is quick and pizzas delicious! Had to stop by Mod on our way home and was happy as usual. Their Covid protocols were excellent. Very clean, plenty of hand sanitizer. I had my first visit tonight and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is much more spacious than I anticipated. Plenty of tables and a few booths with an open layout of the soda fountain. I built my own pizza and was surprised to see all their different options. It seemed as though they had more toppings than Pieology but it could just be me. I really enjoyed the pesto sauce, where as the red sauce seemed to lack seasoning. I jokingly told the girl who built my pizza to put lots of toppings on my pizza and she did just that! You could see how packed with yumminess it was, not a single slice was missing a topping. Which is why the Calexico that my boyfriend ordered was a little disappointing. His looked pretty bare compared to mine but he really loved the spiciness of the sauce and jalapeños. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I had a free pizza coupon and the cashier gave me no trouble about it, unlike other restaurants. So I really appreciated that. Mad dog is so nom nom. I added jalapeños to give it a kick and it was delish! The wait for your order is so quick, way quicker than other pizza establishments. Taste is bomb af of course. And their sauces, there's no extra charge if you want some ranch or other sauces on their menu. The garlic cheese bread is also delish! I always get this side along with my Mad Dog pizza. Came here for a lunch date around 12 PM on a Sunday and unfortunately had an odd experience! When my partner and I opened the door, a staff member behind the pizza bar shouted "We're open!" quite loudly. It made us laugh and we looked at each other like "What?" and I said "I was really hoping so!" Then, we went ahead and placed our orders with the other front staff and found they were super friendly and quick. However, while we were selecting our toppings, the same staff member from before continued to shout "we're open!" and "we've got fresh dough!" at the top of his lungs whenever other customers would come in, but weirdly, also when NO ONE was actually at the door or had even entered. Keeping in mind it was slow at this point, I have worked food service before and am all for the inside jokes & fun to help pass the time, but this staff members other coworkers kept looking at us like they were apologizing and one even said sorry but none of them laughed or interacted back in this way with him. When it was time for ours & others orders to be called out/ picked up, this employee then began shouting the names in the most exaggerated way and mispronouncing them intentionally. Names as commonplace as John, Hannah, Emily, and others were being called out in various accents, with extra syllables and sounds added, and we began to actually find it offensive after a certain point. In the end, we got great service from all the rest of the staff, had delicious pizza, and had our basic pizzeria needs met, but when you're sitting at a high top table trying to eat and talk with your company, it is pretty frustrating to have to pause and be interrupted because 1 staff member is loudly messing around for what appeared to be just his own amusement. He also seemed to be the oldest of the employees present in the front of the restaurant at the time, so more maturity was expected. Good value menu and authentic dough. you can't go wrong with a mod sized pizza as is from their menu (my fave is the Tristan) but if you're feeling picky you can just build your own pizza or make some substitutions to what's on the menu. Darn it mod. Why have we had such a terrible relationship lately. I haven't been in close to 3 months after a bad experience here. I decided to give them a try again because we missed our family pizza night with mod. Came in today and was there at 1056am. They open at 11. The door were unlocked. They let us come in 4 minutes early but we couldn't order. No big deal. My daughter and I were the only 2 people in the building. The guy helping me had to be new. Very nice but new and not trained properly. My super simple cheese pizza and cheese bread were sitting out of the oven for a good 20 mins before I got the rest of my pizzas. Needless to say I spent 55 dollars this morning, half my pizzas I brought home were cold, and the other half, the ingredients were not really evenly distributed. It was lacking sauce big time. All the garlic I got was on one side. My son's mega dough pizza didn't seem completely cooked so I refused to let him eat it. (And please to do not judge me for the pizzas being unevenly distributed. I was chasing around a child!) My reason for 2 stars is the staff was nice, but this specific mod just doesn't cut it anymore. I guess it's time to find a new family pizza place, which truly makes me sad. Not to mention, we walked in at 1056am, and did not leave until 1129am. That is 33 mins in this establishment, only 1 person behind me, and mediocre pizza. Sucks, we have been coming here for years. :( read more

I came back here this weekend to give it another shot and was once again pretty disappointed. Some of the servers seemed nice and attentive but like last time, I again felt very rushed and confused by the ordering process. For someone who doesn't go there frequently, I felt unable to ask questions and expected to go through the process knowing exactly what they had and what I wanted. Some other comments: -their red sauce is really lacking flavor -the crust was almost sweet and dry (kind of like Pizza Press) which I didn't appreciate -I love that they have corn as an option for their pizzas -I got a mini Ceasar salad which was delicious but also like $7 which is too much for a side salad -their black olives and green olives were in 2 different sections which is very counterintuitive because wouldn't you want the customer to know what all their options are of one type of food before they choose??? -good beer selection -nice outdoor seating considering that it's in a strip mall read more
