Great salad experience. Fresh, flavorful, fast, and well presented. Many other options for carnivores also :-) I ordered the Merida salad pictured. They had several versions of organic lemonade that also looked very inviting. I chose the classic and enjoyed it. Just the right amount of sweetness. Literally the best location and customer service! They were super patient with my when I ordered and realized I'd left my wallet in the car. When my meal took a little longer to come out than usual, which I was totally okay with, they brought it to my table with a $15 coupon for my next visit as an apology for the wait! This place is a fancy panera bread or corner bakery, the menu items and prices are comparable but the food quality and freshness is far better here at Modern Market. The restaurant is very clean and I was able to look over the menu and order fairly quickly. I got the Green Chili Chicken soup ($5) and the half portion of the BBQ Chicken Pizza ($5) so my total was $10. They have the nutritional information on the menus and it is also printed on your receipt which is very convenient for someone like myself that tracks macronutrient intake. The soup was good - chicken was a bit dry but still tasty. The pizza was fantastic - the dough was the best part! On your receipt you get 10% off your next meal if you return within a week of your initial visit. I will return to try other menu items like the salads or entree items. Service was great too - someone grabbed my empty tray almost as soon as I finished unloading my plates onto the table. Then when I was finished an employee quickly grabbed my empty plates so I could relax and finish my drink without dirty dishes in front of me. I ordered a water because it's free but next time I will splurge and get a fountain drink, they had two different tea varieties that sounded delicious as well as different types of soda. Love this place. It is nice to have all the nutritional values on the menu but the winner is the good. Three of us had lunch. Two sandwhich and I had the chicken breast with fruit. I sometimes find chicken breast a little boring but not so here! It comes with an aioli and it has a light, citrus taste. The chicken was juicy and the spices were great. The fruit was fresh and tasty. My mates enjoyed the sandwiches and the heirloom potato chips. Fabulous meal all around. And the staff is pleasant and very friendly. We will be back! read more

If my review were based solely on the food and service, this place would get 4 or 5 stars easily. However, a quick warning on two things that are misleading (and possibly deceptive) about this place. (1) Their menu presents you with the option to "Mix & Match" (1/2 salad + 1/2 pizza; 1/2 salad + 1/2 sandwich; you get the idea). You would think that they would charge the price of a whole order for taking their "Mix & Match" offer, but they really just charge you for two half orders, which adds about $3 to your order over ordering a whole order. When I asked the staff about this, they said, "oh, the Mix & Match is not a deal. We're just letting you know that you can order two half orders at the same time." (Because we didn't know this already). (2) They charge you a fee if your order is a takeout order. They are not upfront about this, nor will you know about this until after you've paid and your receipt is given to you. Not cool! read more

I've been to Modern Market three times, once for breakfast, once for lunch, and once for dinner, so I feel like I have a pretty good grasp of the place. I love the concept of the restaurant and the menu options, but I feel like the food is extremely overpriced, in my opinion. I do understand that it costs more when you use higher quality ingredients, but I still did not feel like the price was worth it. I remember seeing in another person's yelp comments about this place that they felt it was sub par execution of a good recipes, and I completely agree with that. When I went there for breakfast, I tried the Southwest tofu scramble, the flavors were good, but I found the portion size underwhelming, and they also completely forgot to add the avocado that was supposed to come with my food so I had to go up there and ask them for it. When I went there for lunch, I ordered the Merida salad which was good but had WAY more lettuce than toppings, and didn't really look like the picture on their website at all. Then most recently, I tried their Diablo sandwich, and they completely forgot to give me the pickle that it was supposed to come with it, and I didn't realize that until I got home. I mean just forgetting to add a pickle is not a big deal, but it's kind of a principle sort of thing, like I'm paying $10 for a sandwich that doesn't come with any sort of sides so please give me everything I paid for. Again I found the flavors to be good, but the bread was a little chewy and I also felt like some of the pieces of meat were fatty. I do think that the people who work there are very nice and friendly. and I also really like that the receipts have the nutritional information about the food printed on them, but overall I just feel like it's a poor value for the money so I don't think I would go back. read more

We have driven by this place so many times, and just decided to try it. I was extremely impressed. I got the flatiron salad, and it was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, and all the ingredients in the salad worked perfectly together. My husband got the Lemongrass Pork bowl. I had a bite, and it was also very good. He enjoyed it. We also had the green chili soup. It was good, but not my favorite thing. My husband really liked it though. I am definitely coming back. I want to try a lot more items on the menu, and I will come back specifically for the flatiron salad! read more

I've been twice so far. I had a steak sandwich the first time and pizza the second. The steak sandwich was good, but nothing to write home about. I was impressed by the pizza on my second trip. It was pretty good. They describe themselves as farm fresh. I like the healthy thought; however I doubt the amazing cookie I had helps that. This also means you won't be able to get your name-brand sodas, but the sodas they have are worth a try. I ordered online received an email confirmation with pick-up time. Drove to store and arrived 2 minutes after "ready" time. When I walked to the register a guy behind the counter looked up at me. I said "pick up for..." and he head nodded towards a lady filling napkins. She said "order here" to where some folks were milling about. I told her I ordered online and she mumbled yeah. After a while I walked out to my car where my kids were waiting. I could see the counter from where I was parked so I went in every time an ordered was placed on the counter. After 4 trips back inside I asked why my order was taking so long. The mumble lady then pointed at the counter and said "did you ask them?" I told her no and asked a lady in the kitchen who looked at an Uber Eats bag that had been on the counter then told me she called my order long ago and someone picked it up. I asked who was in charge and mumbles pointed back at the lady I was talking to. She then says she can't give me a refund because I ordered online. No apology, no offer to make the food for me. So I qualified her statement and asked, so I can't get food or my money back? She then says you can get your money back but you have to call (no offer of a number to call) and stares at me blankly. read more

I wish I have heard of this place sooner!! This spot has some great, fresh tasting food. Just everything about this place makes me want to go back! It has a nice urban hipster look on the inside and everything around me was so clean which made my experience amazing! This place has some great options for healthy eating and I am glad I came here! I got the half salad and half pizza option which is totally worth it! For the salad I got the Roman and I enjoyed the combination of all the greens with the chicken, bacon bits and dressing! Honestly, it did not look like a half salad to me, more like a full size! And the M' Rita pizza was pretty good ( I have had better) but wasn't expecting anything top notch! Everything came in a reasonable amount and didn't take a long time to come out! I came here around 1:30 pm on a Friday and it was not that busy! Food is bland. They have a grill but all their meat is cooked ahead of time and warmed through when you order. Be prepared to have half your food sitting out getting cold while the other half is still "cooking". I'd say come here if you need something light for lunch but honestly you'll pay less and get better food just getting takeout from Whole Foods next door. read more

Nothing special. Basically just a good place to eat healthy clean food for a cheap price. For breakfast I have tried their cinnamon waffle with their breakfast potatoes, nothing special. For lunch I have tried their blueberry pesto sandwich (good if you're into sweet and savory), the chicken basil sandwich( pretty bland)....btw a lot of the food is bland, and for their sides rosemary sweet potato mash (disgusting and tastes like pasta sauce), mac and cheese (bland), garlic mashed potatoes (pretty good), and their fire roasted veggies (shockingly my all time favorite side and it was actually flavorful). My review may have seemed brute but the world should know and you might be saying I've tried a lot for not really liking this place, like I said: cheap and healthy. I guess Trump runs Google as well now! A simple Google search for a fish sandwich and cognac sent me to this place. Let me tell you the two things that are not on their menu; Fish Sandwiches and cognac!! President "Puffed Cheeto" Trump could not have delivered a better false fact himself. I did notice that hey had salmon though, and they sold sandwiches of other sorts; so I decided to see what they could do for me. They sold me a BLT with avocado and added a salmon fillet to the sandwich. I thought they were about to charge me $20 for a fish sandwich, but it came out to be less than $15. I then asked the employee if the manager maybe had a bit of cognac in his office he would sell me on the down-low. Sadly, the snow bunny said he didn't. I am not sure though, I didn't see her go and check. Back to the sandwich though, it was very scrumptious. I do not know why this is not on the menu. Maybe they can name it after me, "Jay's Fish Sandwich". It was a lot better than the crap BLT with smoked salmon that Trump Grill tried to serve me. Very disappointed. We invited friends here tonight for them to try this beloved eatery of ours that we frequent at least twice a week. Amongst the dishes we ordered were the prosciutto pizza and the BBQ pizza, two of our favorites. First of all, the prosciutto pizza came out burnt -- the crust all around was black. I think the chef was banking on the chance that we would just accept a burnt pizza, so when we returned it, he profusely apologized -- he shouldn't have tried to serve it to us in the first place because it was completely burnt. So he remade the pizza. The second time he brought it out and we started eating it, I immediately noticed that the recipe had changed! One of the cheeses was missing; the pear, which is normally set on top, was cooked underneath the cheese; the arugula was cooked to a mush and as a result became extremely bitter; and worst of all, he salted and peppered the top of the pizza! They had never previously salted and peppered the top of the pizza!!! It was incredibly salty -- almost inedible. The BBQ pizza came overdone, the sauce was not spread evenly (I had huge pools of sauce in certain areas), the sauce was missing the red pepper flakes, which adds a little spice, and again -- worst of all -- the pizza was salted and peppered on top to the point it was almost inedibly salty! I had to apologize to my friends for the horrible experience. I understand if the place was busy and the chef was consequently unable to produce anything well. But the place wasn't busy at all. I'm afraid to come back here again after this experience :( Edit: I forgot to mention that my husband ordered a pizza as well, the bacon corn. It was also salted, and my husband complained about its saltiness :( Our ticket also had a sandwich on there, although I don't know how that tasted because my friend ate that. If I ever come back here again, I think I will come by myself and try a half-pizza, so as not to run a big order and discover the entire meal a waste and experience an over-intake of sodium. Mod market is a great option if you're looking for something healthy. It is a little pricey for the size of their portions, but healthy options are no longer healthy without portion control. I recommend coming here for an almost guilt free pizza. So far I've had the M'rita and pepe and enjoyed both. I am done with this Mod Market! I've tried multiple times because I love the menu but they keep disappointing me! I've had to wait for 25minutes to get my food in the restaurant, they remained closed for 30mins after they were supposed to be open, and they always get my to go orders wrong. When someone orders mashed sweet potatoes, don't give them Mac and cheese! Not to mention my roasted veggies are so roasted they're practically rubber. My husband didn't get his chimichurri so I gave him mine and since there was MAYBE a teaspoons worth in the container, I wasn't able to have any either.
