Man when I tell you I'm full as a tick. UM Mose's needs alight side to their menu. A co-worker said hey let's take a walk and grab something to eat. Sure been in the office let's walk. Little did I know the walk was to prep me for the amount of food that was given. All I wanted was some simple nachos nothing major. When we leave and get back to the office to sit down and partake. I have nachos loaded down then a bag of chips and queso then another bag with chips and guacamole . Mind you the whole time they are preparing my nachos my co-worker is talking. I think I ate a small dent in my nachos and I'm stuffed. I need a nap cause this food got me in a straight coma. I haven't eaten here in years. We ordered through Uber Eats-6 tacos and a taco salad. Each taco came in its own bag of chips, 5 of the 6 tacos were made wrong. Why do we need 6 bags of chips-no queso, 4 Moe's sauce containers and the cayenne sauce & salsas were missing. Definitely not worth the 50.00 price tag. Had a great experience in there today. There were two black guys and a taller white gentleman. The taller guy was super professional and kind, the younger guy was hilarious and made the experience fun, and the older black gentleman honestly made my day with his kindness! Great and friendly service, a big and very clean dining room, and the food was perfectly cooked! I haven't had Moe's in years since discovering Chipotle and Qdoba. But this new location was a short distance from me so I decided to check them out. The new location is bright, clean and spacious. I was greeted right away by Marley, who was very pleasant and patient with me as I skimmed through the menu and made my choices of toppings for my close talker taco salad. The plus side Moe's has over the other chains is that they offer free chips. They also have a selection of salsas you can help yourself to. The pineapple salsa was my favorite! This visit made me remove Moe's from my list of no-gos, I'll be back! read more

I ordered Moe's off the website for Moe's Mondays to try every 4-5 years or so to see if anything has changed/gotten better...but nope. At least the drink machine was good. The lady at the counter was nice when I picked up my food. I ordered the Homewrecker burrito...and paid extra for steak. I believe it was $1.99...I literally saw/tasted 2 pieces of steak. TWO. If you are only getting TWO pieces, why are you paying extra for it...? I want to see the steak in it if I'm paying extra. My suggestion would be to order it in person, that way you can see what they are doing. read more

Decided to go to dinner and was craving a Mexican bowl. The atmosphere was very inviting and very clean. While ordering, I appreciated the workers friendly and welcoming attitudes towards customers. Despite the small portions, I still enjoyed the meal. The ingredients were fresh and the steak was amazing. I love the free chips and salsa and really enjoyed the queso. If you are ever craving a nice Mexican bowl or burrito I can't help but to recommend the local Moes. You will not regret it. read more

New Moe's on Granby Street! It's on the corner of Granby and City Hall Avenue. You won't miss it. It's the two-story fast Mexican food, your-meals-created-in-front-you, spot. Yes, two floors! They offer: Nachos Burritos Tacos Burrito Bowls Salads "Stacks" - all the fillings stacked in two crunchy corn shells, wrapped, & grilled. The main topping options are: Chicken Tofu Ground Beef Veggie There are 20+ FRESH INGREDIENTS : Not listing all of them, but some: seasoned rice, shredded cheese, black or pinto beans, pico, different sauces, and tons of fresh veggies. The price range is $7.99 - $9ish, plus extra /upcharges for any upgrades of course. You get free chips and salsa with every order though. And don't forget the salsa bar! The place is nice, the workers are efficient, but I'm docking a couple stars because a few of the salsas were very low/close to empty around lunch, and the food was lukewarm, and my walk was less than a block away. "Welcome to Moe's!" How did we ever survive the days before popular, chain, Tex-Mex restaurants came to town? It's a mysterious matter that we may never know the answer too (Taco Bell, you're not included here.) Well, I'm glad we get the perks of Chipotle, Qdoba, and Moe's in our area - and to those who don't, may you one day know the greatness that is cheap, Tex-Mex. Moe's definitely takes the number one spot when it comes to fresh, not-quite-authentic, Mexican takeout. This new location is such a treat to Downtown Norfolk. Since everyone was so excited about going once it opened, I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon too (my office is LITERALLY directly across the street.) So, it was packed when we visited, as is all of Downtown Norfolk when a new restaurant opens. Upon entering, we were greeted with the signature "Welcome to Moe's." The location has a pretty industrial ambiance, but that's more than likely due to the recent construction. I ordered the veggie nachos and the prep team was awesome and thorough. It was a little difficult making our way through the line though with all the busyness, loud chatter, and loud music - more than a little overwhelming but again, that's the con of being a new restaurant Downtown. My party and I decided to eat upstairs and it was cool despite the obvious insulation in plain sight that was a little grotesque. But again, new construction. Overall, the food was fresh, really fresh and delicious. I will return again to see if there's more progress with the building and to try them after a few weeks (when it's less busy). Hopefully the quality and service doesn't decline after the grand opening season, like so many restaurants do. read more

This was definitely an interesting experience!!! Lol. For starters, all the employees make sure that each customer is acknowledged as soon as you step thru the door. The service was fast and to top if off, the machines were done so EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY FREE!!! All the ask was that we come visit again which is NOT a problem at all!!! I love Moe's but this business has ruined my experience. First off, I have to fend of several irate homeless people just to make it inside (I'm sensitive to their situation, but I don't think I need to be harassed for cash every single time I walk into your store). Last time I went, I got like literally half a scoop of everything on my bowl from the kid who was obviously starting his first day there. I said something about this, and the manager responds by saying that corporate has reduced the serving sizes. I don't give a shit, reduce your menu prices then. Ordered takeout and payed extra for a side of queso. Picked my order up and checked to make sure everything was in there. Didn't see any queso, went to the counter and told the girl working the side of queso was missing. She told me no it's in the bag. I said okay and went home and of course, no queso. read more

Haven't had this in years, so we decided to stop in and grab food. The man taking the order could barley be understood because of his mumbling. My wife started ordering and asked what type of rice there was, seasoned and cilantro lime. She ordered cilantro lime, he put seasoned all the while he started talking to the female worker there. She corrected him and he came back with no you said seasoned. We both had to tell him no she said cilantro lime. To which he rolled his eyes and threw out the food to start over. When did customer service go so bad? Then when leaving there was another employee right outside the door smoking. Plus the dirty looking gas can on the counter asking for tips for gas money. Walked here with my kids from our hotel nearby. The service was great and the food was all good! I really appreciate the amount they put up with my kids being picky about food and the fact that every 20 seconds I had to stop ordering to tell my triplets to sit down. Very patient staff!
