this place has such a neat vibe! Our baked goods were wonderful and I loved the quichette with olives and feta! The coffee was great too as I have found on the hawaiian islands and the maple latte was one of the best hot drinks I've ever had. A friend introduced me to small town coffee for a breakfast sandwich, it was so good i just don't know why i never thought about making it for myself it's called "pig in the apple tree" bagel, cream cheese, sliced apple, bacon and cheese so bomb! Just wish they were open longer hours during the day! read more

Ok mocha but a small is $4.25 and it isn't sweet. I prefer blended ice drinks, but they have none on the menu. Whipped creme isn't standard on a latte (is this normal for independents?). They do have free wifi if you are in need. read more

Hard to find at first. Tucked in off the main road surrounded by fair stores. I loved the building, the grass, the pond, but everything else fell a little flat. They didn't have any local beans, the French Drip I had was super bitter, and they don't appear to carry much in the treat section. I did like the spot, but Java Kai being so close is just too tempting for me. read more

This is an old bus full of goodness. The following review is for the quad Americano and the staff. The Americano is a show stopper. I don't pretend to be an expert or even an aficionado of Americanos. But I've tried them all over Kaua'i at places like Java Kai, the Buck, Dark Roost, and others. This was without a doubt one of the best Americanos I've ever had. Great almost sweet aftertaste, super strong aroma, not a hint of bitterness. The staff matched the coffee. Very nice without a hint of bitterness. Both get four stars for an average of four stars. read more

Pretty chai tea...never would have thought of honey being used decoratively on the top. Though not very tasty... :(. Bit watery. Flies were in the case with the pastries. Location was good, service was good. Bathroom on site. Cool setup and tadpole pond outside and used book store right off cafe. Outdoor seating. OK first off, Starbucks and this place should never be mentioned in the same sentence. This place is great. I loved it. Easily the best espresso place on the island. The people are all very nice, the quality of the espresso is outstanding. The free Wifi is awesome and if you don't have your own computer they've got a couple that you can use for a very reasonable rate. I went here 5 times in 5 days. I loved this place. read more

Cute place across from beach for snack / breakfast / coffee / tea. Atmosphere is fun and eclectic, food was delicious. Lox - tasty and nicely presented. Wi-fi and computer w. Internet avail. Some outdoor seating on the road. Only drawback is tables could have been wiped down and some of the seating could use a little upgrade. Parking not immediately available, but plenty in the vicinity. Place itself is cute, love the low key fun vibe. Coffee was good and the waffle I got was yummy. My mr's bagel sandwich was nothing to rave about. I would have given an extra star to my rating if it wasn't for the mix up between the Batista, cashier and my coffee order. Long story short, Barista gave me a Latte when I ordered an Americano, told the Barista that I didn't order this. Barista turns to cashier and then gets mad at her in front of everyone saying she wrote the order wrong. Cashier defends herself and they go back and forth for a second, finally pulls the order form from the trash cans and points out Barista's mistake. YAY! Cashier wins. Anyways, it was awkward as a customer to stand there and watch this...all I wanted was my Americano not a scene. read more

Everything we had here was great! The Nutty Smoothie was super tasty and the Kevlar coffee was unlike any other coffee I've ever had, really nice subtle coconut flavor! Would definitely recommend trying! Also, the blueberry muffin was really good! read more

Every time my husband and I visit Kauai we have to visit this quaint coffee shop. This small establishment on the east side has the best coffee on the island. Alyssa is our favorite barista, didnt see her on our last trip but she is a delight. Its a must try. read more

Go for the lattes, but not the food (unless you're a vegan). Our latte was perfect. However the bagel and vegan/gluten free banana bread were nothing special. After sampling lots of banana bread on the island, you can't beat the classic version made with eggs and milk. Also, this is best for "to go" items, since the seating area is right next to a major road. read more

I didn't expect to find good espresso on Kauai, but I found it here. The shop recently purchased a Simonelli espresso machine and serves what I assume to be locally beans. Either way, they do a good job. I had a cappuccino and some breakfast bagel type of sandwich. Both were great. Another thing to comment is the friendly staff. Real nice people. read more

Get your granola fix here! Make sure you try the cold toddy - because it is some of the best coffee I've ever had. Smooth and delicious!

I went there around noon and unfortunately I didn't have the chance to try the house made waffles cause they stop serving them after 11.00 am. I got an iced chai and a "that'll do it pig" with ham. The bagel was really good. Can't say the same about the chai. read more

The latte was one of the better ones I tasted while there. Nice ambient, hippie, organic. I think it is worth trying. If you are in the island and want coffee this coffee shop should be one of your stops. read more
