Great breakfast sandwiches, quick (+friendly!) service, and decent prices! 10/10 would recommend, and would return!

We were staying nearby and needed something quick for breakfast. I picked up breakfast sandwiches (to go). They were the best we've had in awhile. The eggs were so fresh! I would've like to give this company zero stars. But there wasn't that option. So I gave a one star. We went to Here today, Sunday, July 28, 2019. I have a service dog. The very first thing that they asked was do you have registration papers for her we need to see them. I said legally you cannot ask that. There is no registration papers for service dogs. I got dirty looks from one of the waitresses and then I got a dirty look from the accurate person behind the counter. And I said service dogs are not required to have registration papers there is no such thing those are illegal they're fake. And mind you it does sound like I was yelling but I wasn't I'm going deaf so I talk louder than normal. And then another customer spoke up and said what you need to at least have her labeled. I go actually I don't have to label her at all . And I said, for your information service dogs do not need to be labeled but she is labeled. And the only reason I got snappy is because she was rude to me. I try to be nice when I explain things but I already got the rude nasty looks from both of the waitresses and then this customer speaking up so I'm like you know what forget it will go somewhere else to eat. We went right next-door and let me tell you next-door was amazing. Once I find out the name of the place I will be doing a yelp and trip adviser a review on Them as well. They allowed Ali in because they know that you're only allowed to ask two questions and that is is that a service dog and what test is that the dog perform. They even knew that registries for Docs service dogs are fake unless there is a registered service dog through a training facility. Oh and when I went back to explain to them that I wasn't trying to sound rude and yelling it's I'm going deaf in both of my ears and I do talk really loud and then I explain to her I said legally you cannot ask for certification papers. And she starts telling me how one of her family members has a service dog and they have certification papers that they show everybody. I go well legally you cannot request anybody to show you any documentation that their service dog is a service dog. It is actually against the law for you to do so. And she continued to say that it her family member has it so she understands a lot. I said well actually you're wrong. And she was being very snotty and snotty to me so that's why I had a little attitude when I said well actually you're wrong. I said and I handed her the ATA card and she's like here you can just have this back ago why don't you call them or go on the ATA website and in the search engine put service animals. And I said educate yourself. It's like nope you go you can have the spot I got all right well you know what you can't you only have yourself to blame when you get a lawsuit. There is a reason for the low rating. I heard it was under new ownership so I hope the owner is reading these and is humble enough to either take charge or close the doors. What a waste of prime real estate in York.... Service was TERRIBLE. To the point where you're scratching your head?? only 1.5 waitresses, 1.5 line cooks, under staffed, but at least be friendly and explain and apologize and for Gooodnes Sake get everyone a cup a coffee before you start clearing empty tables. You cant take anymore guests anyways, so why buss that table only waitress before you've greeted every guest of yours? Lots of sitting around, food sitting in the window getting cold, lots of people walking out, cranky unfriendly staff. Our bill was laid on the table before our food showed up. Had to get our own menus, had to grab our own silverware and even had to go remind the cooks to take my pancakes off the griddle so I could eat before I left. The rest of my family had already gotten their food 15 mins prior. I literally walked up to the line, asked them to plate those 3 pancakes and they did. Only giving this a two for the upper management staff! The waitress we had was so sweet and very energetic and timely. The chef though- she really gave the whole place a not-so-good vibe. She was very "roll of the eyes" and demanding even though they were short staffed that morning! I was standing waiting to put my name in- and, I felt ignored by the owner! We were there on Mon Aug 22nd 2022. Unfortunately, it seems to be the only breakfast place open in walking distance on a Monday in York center. the place was dirty, flies everywhere and an unappealing fly strip hanging from the ceiling. Looking back we should have left, but instead hung in there. The staff seemed disorganized and confused. Who doesn't want breakfast with the best service and great food. After my family and I were looking for a good breakfast place on vacation we were deciding between sally purple palace and Molly-O's. We've tried sally purple palace so we went here. It was a Wednesday and crazy busy, about a 20 minute wait. It was kinda hard finding where to put our name in for the information but that was the only problem. The food was delicious and worth the wait. Overall, 4/5 and will definitely come back! read more

If there was a negative score I would give that for a score. We come to Maine every year. We went there 1 year ago and it was great. This year, it was disgusting and inedible. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with veggies and bacon on the side. My son had french toast with bacon and my sister had 1 egg with veggies. It was $63 with drinks. The bacon was hard and rubbery,eggs were cold cheese not melted and veggies undercooked. My toast was so cold the butter wasn't even melted. My son's french toast was ice cold as well. Service was beyond terrible. She was so rude. At the end of our meal we were told by the neighboring business that the there are new owners but kept the name. I will never ever return here. It was one of the most awful dining Experiences I ever had!!!! Do not eat here! read more

Molly-O's is my family's go-to spot when we're in York Beach! The breakfasts are yummy, the lunches are tasty, the iced coffee and fruit smoothies are great and healthy take-aways, like sandwiches and lobster rolls and awesome fries. It's a locally owned small restaurant staffed by local employees and students, and being a small beach restaurant, they get busy but our family would rather wait in the sunshine at a beach cafe than sit in the drive-through at a coffee franchise. Love the friendliness and hard-working staff at this gem in York! read more

We used to love MollyOs and ended up giving them a bad review after the disappointing experience we had in the summer of 2018. On our last day of vacation this year (2019), they were the only place open, so we gave it another try. We were very happy with the service, food and overall atmosphere. We spoke to the head cook, who told us that there was a new staff and they were trying really hard to turn the restaurant around. She knew that summer of 2018 was a bad year for the restaurant. We are a family of 6, and all of us were very pleased with our breakfast. They did run out of homemade salsa for the breakfast burrito, but overall - worth the trip and we will definitely go back again. read more

What happened to Molly-O's ??!!?? This used to be a friendly, family-oriented business that opened early and had great service throughout. I know it was sold a couple years ago, but wow has it gone downhill. Used to be a staple for us. Now it's slow service (albeit nice servers), meh food -- and for your own sake, don't look at the cooking area. Went to the window this morning just to get take out coffee, and after 5 minutes of (first in line) standing there with no one even acknowledging me ... I just decided to leave. I had breakfast today for the second time since the new owners and enjoyed it both times. No it's not the exact same as the old Molly O's but I wasn't expecting that. The service was great, very friendly and fast and the prices are comparable to any local breakfast restaurants. I would definitely recommend giving it a try and be patient while they work out any kinks. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

This is my second year of coming to Molly-o's, so to see the before and after of this establishment has been great. New management did a great job remodeling the inside and the food is great like it used to be. Worst experience ever today! We have been here many times over the year and this was terrible. After 35 minutes without our meal, we began to question what was taking so long. The manager wasn't sure what was going wrong. Not one table in the restaurant was eating at this time. The cooks looked lost and had no sense of urgency. 45 minutes in and they let us know that our order was going on next, but they were out of hollandaise! We had to change the order. Keep driving!! The food was good once we got it. We were seated and then forgotten several tables were filled after ours who received coffee menus and gave their orders before we were acknowledged with coffee. Our waitress was very frazzled and could not get it together until cook finally snapped at her. Our food sat on the ledge for her to bring it to us. She started to grab it then another party walked it so she put our food down and started to seat them. The cook finally snapped quietly at her and we got our cold eggs. They were not overly busy. They was a man clearing tables and bringing coffee wearing no mask and one of the cooks did not wear a mask while making toast etc. I will say when she stepped in front of counter she put mask on. (Funny because I had to be tested before I could come to Maine) There was one waitress - blue hair - she wasn't ours but she is a hard worker - she was bouncing all around doing everything!! read more

Came here for almost 10 years and it was our family favorite up until we went this year... New owners, entirely new vibe. One of our members has a nut allergy and after placing her order, she told the waiter so he could tell the kitchen. Next thing, someone from the kitchen comes out and said they make muffins with walnuts so she can have a fruit cup or a salad (we went out to breakfast). As if, on their entire menu, they wouldn't accommodate to anything for breakfast and she could "ONLY" have a fruit cup. The WORST part about this visit was their delivery. The chef who came out was very blunt and rude about the whole situation, and actually acted as if my friend, who HAS to LIVE with this nut allergy, was a complete inconvenience. I went in and ordered my food but they were not accommodating to my allergy and when I asked what I could get that may not contain my allergen, I was rudely responded to and I felt very unwelcome by the sass the worker gave to me. I then ordered a bagel thinking that would be safe, and there was thread cooked into it. Gave this place a try for the first time. We were seated under a filthy air conditioner that was caked in dust. After 10 minutes a girl came over and asked what we wanted for drinks. My son and I ordered chocolate milk, my husband got pineapple juice and my daughter asked for water. She walked away and then came back and asked about the size for the chocolate milk. She brought back the glass of juice which was only a little more than half filled and the "chocolate milk" was warm and the color was pale tan. Also we ordered large and she brought small. After another 10 minutes the waitress came to take the order. She was the only waitress for the whole place I guess. We ordered. My pancakes were crunchy on the outside and not fully cooked inside and both my husband and daughter said there eggs were not cooked through and their bacon had an off taste. Not impressed at all. The floor is not level so my son and I felt like we would fall backwards. We should have waited and went to Goldenrods. read more
