The vibes here are very cool and the swings at the bar are very fun. Unfortunately the Flourless Gluten Free Cupcake while available, had signs saying that there was definitely cross contamination - I appreciated the transparent note! Even though I couldn't enjoy it, my party all got items that looked and smelled amazing. The Rice Crispy treat also had my friend going back for seconds to have later this weekend!

First trip to Molly's and this did not disappoint! My children LOVE cupcakes and my son even went back and bought 2 more to bring home. I'm not usually a frosting-person but it was the perfect amount of sweet and creamy! The inside filling was the best surprise! We will be going back again!

sorry, i don't get it. i tried and cookies and cream cupcake and it was dry, and expensive. i asked the worker for recommendations on best sellers, but there was nothing impressive about this at all. i've had better cupcakes at target.

With a stellar reputation of serving up some truly delicious cupcakes and treats, the whimsical flavors and variety of choices will certainly make you a repeat customer. Staff is friendly and attentive, and the bakery itself is cheerful and inviting. I do feel that as the expansion of this establishment has continued to grow, the home baked taste has taken a bit of a hit. I will continue to support them, but will also be looking at smaller bakeries to entertain as nothing tastes better than a home baked treat.

Love a good cupcake place and this one lives up to the 'Best of' Lists! Unfortunately, I only grabbed a pic of the peach cobbler flavor which was my personal favorite. We also tried the Funfetti and Creme Brûlée. The peach cobbler was the only one that truly captured a slice of the actual dish. Perfect filling, icing flavor with a tiny bit of cherry and a peach on top.

The cupcake i got had peanut butter on the inside, chocolate on the outside. It was ok, it wasn't very sweet. Service was great! Ambiance is chill with a good vibe ! Check it out for yourself

The OG Molly's location is always the best! Since they've expanded, most of the cupcakes are usually made out of the Clark Steet location. The service is amazing at this location and has always been since it's opening. The atmosphere inside is always inviting and people always dining in and hanging out. They still have the board games to play if you want to just chill. They always have the water station and the plate bins to return your plates and utensils once you've finished using them.

We looove Molly's cupcakes. It's a must-have every time we come back to visit to Chicago. You can't go wrong with stuffed cupcakes. Seriously. My son ordered the Samoa one, and I got a Nutella stuffed one. Both of them were so yummy!! Easier to knife and fork it, but you can manage with your hands too. We so miss being near to Molly's.

Knew I had to try this place after I saw the food network rating in the window!! I was impressed by the variety of fun unique cupcake flavors but had to try their top rated - the flourless chocolate cupcake. I was surprised when she told me this was the favorite but after trying it I get it. The cake part is rich and fudgy, more so than a normal cupcake which I loved. And the icing was light and fresh and not too sweet so the cupcake itself was really the star of the show. Cant wait to try more!

As a fairly avid fan of cupcake wars, I was really excited to see a Molly's Cupcakes storefront while taking a stroll down Clark St. After looking at the wide variety of flavors, my friend and I ordered the passionfruit and salted caramel butterscotch to go. Both cupcakes were not overly sweet or decadent, which I appreciated. The cake itself definitely tasted fresh and the frosting texture was quite whipped and light. The part I was a bit disappointed by were the flavors themselves. I had hoped that the flavor might be infused in the actual cake batter to help distinguish, but it seems like it was mainly found in the filling and/or frosting. The salted caramel butterscotch cupcake had a creamy butterscotch filling, but I think I would have liked a stronger flavor for both the frosting and filling. The passionfruit cupcake confused me a bit as it was topped with a blackberry and had a blackberry filling. Because the passionfruit flavor was rather light for the frosting, I found the blackberry jelly inside to be a bit overpowering. Overall, I'm glad I gave it a shot, but not sure if I'd go out of my way to return.

Wanted something tasty for dessert and came upon this place from IG…read more I ordered the cream soufflé and the matcha float. Both came out in pretty quick time even though it was a busy Saturday evening. Loved the cream soufflé! It was something different that I wanted to try and it wasn't too sweet which was amazing. The soufflé was so fluffy and hot and fresh. The cream inside was sooo good! Everything was well balanced together and the float was also great. Only downside is that it's a really small place. So inside felt very cramped and crowded.

We ended up getting the Matcha smoothie with red beans on the bottom, as well as a matcha float with Ube soft serve. My friend got the Matcha smoothie and said the Matcha was a tad bitter, but also a little too much he said that the Matcha and the ice wasn't really well mixed. Therefore it tasted a bit icy, but he agrees the overall flavor was all right, but he probably wouldn't get that if we came back. On the other hand, my Ube and Matcha float was absolutely delicious. I knew I wanted the Ube soft serve over the Matcha soft serve because I'm very picky with my Matcha, but I also didn't want to get Matcha tea as well as the Matcha soft serve as I figured that would be a little bit too much. I would literally come back just for the Uber officer, it was perfectly sweet, but not overly sweet and the texture was extremely creamy and soft, perfect for a hot day. I'll definitely be coming back just to get that and I also appreciate the server, giving us her favorite combinations and suggestions. It was extremely crowded by the time we left the place literally opened at 11:30, so you know the restaurant has a good reputation already in the community! We will definitely come back!

I wish I was able to travel with one of their cheesecakes but they require refrigeration. Anyhow the cheesecake itself was delicious super light, fluffy, and honestly felt like biting into a cloud. I had the salted egg but they had several flavor options that I would've loved to try if slices were available. The texture is what really stands out, and the flavor was unique and interesting in a good way. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it taste like, but it was sweet, but not too sweet They only sale but I consider a personal size but it's definitely enough to share with two people, maybe even three depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. My only downside like others is the price. Paying around $19-$20 for a small cheesecake felt a bit steep, especially since they don't offer slices. I really wish they had smaller portions available so you could try different flavors without committing to a full cake prize. They package it very well and they also serve you a cute little fork set and a knife for cutting which I think is contributes to the price. The shop itself is very cute with chic décor and a lot of Asian-inspired artwork, which adds to the overall vibe. Customer service was friendly. When I visit Chicago again I'd definitely go back the texture and taste alone make it worth it but I do hope they consider offering smaller portions in the future.

For a sit-down restaurant, I prefer to eat first and pay after, especially when service is expected. The service was not very proactive during our visit.
