Was very excited about trying this place based on the reviews but our experience was not a very pleasant one. My friends and I put our name on a list because they had a 25 minute wait time to be seated which is expected on a Sunday morning. We waited for 2 hours. We put our names down around 10am and did not get seated until a little after 12pm and the only reason we got sat is because my friend went inside to see why other people have been getting sat and it turns out they tore off the old reservation page with our names on it and started a new one. We would have waited even longer if we had not said anything. The service was ok. I ordered coffee because it was freezing outside and I was not asked for a refill until the server dropped off our check and then apologized for the table "mix up". The only reason I am giving this place 3 stars is because the food was pretty good. read more

Was excited about going to this place due to Yelp ratings and menu appeared to have good value. Unfortunately, everything went wrong once there. Leaving this review as a warning to others. List of mishaps: 1) Unclear seating process 2) They have a free chips and beans appetiser that they did NOT bring to us until much later, closer to the time we got the rest of our food. Other tables got there's much quicker, soon after THEY sat down. I'd let this one slide except... 3) Our food took 40 (FORTY) mins to get to us. It was also overall cold which makes me wonder if it was just sitting back there and they forgot to bring it out. 4) Biscuits - dry/stale. 5) Avocado toast - bread didn't seem toasted at all. 6) Country fried steak - odd oil taste. 7) Scrambled eggs - egg shells. 8) Side order of fruit - not fresh. Oh and they forgot to bring it out in the first place. 9) Forgot to bring us check when we asked, had to go up and pay, even that took a few minutes wait. Mind you, it wasn't too busy when we went, so these waiting times are unacceptable and seem mainly due to overall bad organisation and not lack of staff. As I paid, I noticed that two of the guys working out front were just chatting with each other behind the counter, while the two lady servers were at least active (but disorganised). Minor positives - coffee and toast. However, if the buttered toast is the best food in our meal, that is a problem. Their housemade sausage patty was also decent. Food quality is usually high priority to us. If the food is great, we can forgive bad service. However, this place failed in both areas. read more

Service was outstanding and Mom herself greeted us at our table during our meal and gave us a hug as we were leaving...now that's customer care! I had the B.A.T.S. omelette with fruit and toast. Everything was tasty as evidenced by the absence of doggie bags. Also, they had made a lemon mint refresher drink which was fantastic. The location is a bit far from where we were staying but it was well worth the drive. We arrived around 11am (they close at 3pm BTW) and the place was full. Service: I understand that it is a Saturday and it is busy. But to ask multiple times for what you're supposed to be getting???? We got sat down, waited for 10 minutes, server did not come, I have to ask the "receptionist" to send us our server. He went ahead and got us our drinks, and he said he would. 10 mins later, no server. I asked again. Finally! He said the kitchen is busy, about 25 mins. Understood. We will wait. Is it possible to give more than 5 stars? Wish I could. Let me begin with saying I'm sad that I don't live in the area...our meal was the result of timing and a need to get out of the car after hours on the road. If I lived closer, this would be my go-to breakfast spot. Saturday morning, 9:45ish. I thought there would be a long wait. Nope! We were able to be seated right away. The interior is on the small side (max seating 73) and not chaotic in its decor. It felt welcoming and comfortable. We were greeted warmly by our server and given some time to look over the menu. I ordered the Sante Fe omelette with fruit and wheat toast...and a side pumpkin pancake. My husband had the Breakfast Sandwich with hash browns. I have to start with the Pumpkin Pancake. I order a pumpkin pancake at any restaurant that offers it and never, ever, not even once have I come close to having a pancake of any variety that was this positively perfect. Somehow it was slightly crisp on the outside and fluffy and moist on the inside. They don't shy away from flavor either. If Fall was a taste, this pancake would be its finest example. Plus, it was topped with warm, diced apples, caramel sauce and whipped cream that was perfection. Each bite was a bit of paradise. My main meal was delightful. The fruit cup had a great variety of seasonal fruits all of which were fresh and sweet. The omelette was enormous and very tasty. At one point, my husband and I decided we could have split one dish and been fully fed. His sandwich was packed full of goodness and hard to keep in the roll it was served in. Oh! And don't let me forget to mention that before our meal was served, we were given a small plate of homemade tortilla chips and bean dip. Can't quite put my finger on what went into the beans but there was a smoky, meaty taste that kept me dipping. Nice touch, even if it's not what I would eat that early in the a.m. I have paid far more for breakfast that wasn't even close to the quality and deliciousness of today's meal. So reasonable!! As stated before, I am sad I won't be able to visit again any time soon. For now, a tip of the cap for a job well done! read more

First time coming here and I got the veggie omelette and it was very good! I bought the orange juice without realizing it was $7.50! But I have to admit it was the best orange juice I have ever drank in my life. Before our food came out we got chips with salsas and beans and it was delicious!
