As for the thali itself, it was well prepared with garlic naan, 4-5 main dishes, kheer (sweet rice curd dessert), pickles. The non veg thali had butter chicken and one lamb dish, but overall the small portions of all the mains I don't think justified the 10 dollar up charge over the veg tasting menu. Overall each of the dishes were quite solid. Nothing fell short of expectations, but in retrospect while it does provide a solid tasting of various North Indian dishes, I did not think it was worth the $60+ bill you end up walking out with. Would recommend trying just one dish for a much cheaper price. Solid experience for Indian food in NYC, serving traditional North Indian food, but quite a bit pricey.

Xi'an Famous Food is a reasonably priced place to eat, especially for this neighborhood. My favorite is the basic Liang Pi "Cold Skin Noodles" which is very fresh tasting and extremely satisfying, I had recently stopped by a Xi'an Famous Foods and opted for the Stir-Fried heated option, at least for me prefer the non-heated version. This was another opportunity for me to get it again! (Note - Both are vegan.) Like at other Xi'an Famous Foods, you order, your meal is freshly made, and you pick it up.
