Staff are really nice and very mindful and courteous. We came close to closing and advised us that you might want to order something that doesn't take long to cook since they were closing while some customers might take this as rude, we actually appreciated it. Food tasted fresh, I ordered the shrimp with veggies and my brother ordered the same thing but added beef. We both thought food tasted fresh and decent. Will definitely come back. Scruffed down our food and forgot to take a pic, sorry!

    1. Chicken Teriyaki

I was excited to try Suki Hana after learning that a new Japanese restaurant had opened. Unfortunately, my first visit was a disappointing experience. When I walked in, I was greeted with an unfriendly demeanor. I already knew what I wanted to order, but before I could finish, the cashier, David, interrupted me by saying loudly, "We close at exactly 8:00 sharp!" It was loud enough for the other customers to hear, which made me feel embarrassed and unwelcome. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate and asked if I could substitute the rice for fried rice. David responded that they were out of fried rice in a tone that came across as rude, so I chose noodles instead. While I waited for my to-go order, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I arrived approximately 25 minutes before closing, which I believed was a reasonable amount of time to place a takeout order, but I was made to feel like my business was an inconvenience. The one bright spot during my visit was the grill cook, who was friendly, courteous, and professional. I appreciate their positive attitude despite the overall experience. I'm sharing this review in the hope that management addresses the customer service issues I encountered. Every customer deserves to feel welcomed and treated with respect. I have included a photo to confirm that I visited the restaurant and that this review reflects my personal experience.

I wasn't even planning on eating here but after trying a free teriyaki sample while walking by I had to buy a bowl. The Teriyaki Bowl special was $8.99 and such a great deal for the amount of food we got! The bowl came with tons of meat piled on top of rice. Super flavorful and satisfying after a long morning of shopping. It was way better than I expected for the price point and staff was super friendly too. 100/10, Definitely worth stopping by for a quick bite if you're at the outlets!

We walked by and this sweet girl was hustling hard with teriyaki chicken samples so obviously we had to go in. (I struggle with guilt.) The vibe was total mall food court energy but the food was made to order and honestly pretty good. Fresh. Flavorful. No complaints on the food. Portion size was healthy amount. But.... I had to clean our own table like a mom on duty and still dropped $60 for fast food. Sixty. Dollars. I'm sorry but at that point I better be leaving with an enough food for 2 more meals. Inflation is wild, friends. Man, in this economy??? Back in the day, fast food was affordable. Good food, but I'm still side-eyeing the bill. Food was 5/5 Cost 2/5 Cleanliness 2/5 Music selection according to my daughter? A generous 1/5.

Was looking for a good place to have dinner before going to the movies. Had randomly passed by this spot at the Block of Orange. I spotted some teriyaki chicken plate which caught my eyes right away. Had cravings for a while, so glad I found this place. Cashier was kind to ring us up politely with wonderful service. The cook prepared our food right in front of us so you know it was freshly made. Dinner was delicious! Didn't disappoint me at all. Devoured the plate within minutes. Full of flavors with vegetables sautéed perfectly. Place was a bit small and could use some ventilation from the grill or have the doors opened to air it out. Other than that, I enjoyed my meal.

This place is top notch. You have to try the chicken teriyaki fries. I've never had anything like them. They were absolutely phenomenal. I could not stop eating them and the customer service. Here was absolutely amazing. We will definitely come back.

Teriyaki fries 10/10 recommendation if you love fries

SUKI HANA at the outlet at Orange Which most people known by The Block. Every worker in that restaurant has been very welcoming each time I have gone to eat there. Food is well served and well done. These NEW fries I had just tried seem to be the BEST yet fries. Highly recommend fresh fries TERIYAKI FRIES Amazing! Thank you

    4. Chicken & Shrimp Teriyaki

The food is really good. I got the chicken and shrimp teriyaki and it was $18 which I thought was a bit pricy at first but after looking at portion sizes I think it's fairly priced. They give you a lot of shrimp which I appreciate because places usually skimp out on that. The flavor of the protein is good too and the veggies make a yummy combo. I got the fried rice after my cashier David said I should try it. It's good but nothing special it's a basic fried rice with no veggies but it's no added fee so I don't mind. I definitely would come back but I think next time I'll get the normal white rice (just preference). The staff was super nice both the cashier and the young man handing out samples outside the store were very sweet and respectful. The place was clean and the service was pretty fast because there wasn't many people there.

    Good food !!!

Food is delicious. Try the soups when it's raining because they will warm you right up and soothe you if you get sick. The veggies with noodles and chicken or beef are super filling on everyday. They have drinks like the watermelon which are refreshing and don't have massive amounts of sugar like other sweet drink places. If you see the Boss say hello because he will treat you right at home. Best place ever for good honest food homesy food!!!

Service and how the sweet lady talked me over for plate is better than the bowl! THAT IS 5 STAR! I'm usually hard to be persuaded hahahaha but she nailed that! - Chicken Teriyaki Plate, 4,5star The veggies are fresh and crunchy! The amount of chicken it's not chunk! It's thick dear!!! It's savory and juicy! Not over spiced, it's just exactly good! - Spicy Beef Noodle, 4,5star Hubby ate this and he said it's good! It's warm for the cool weather! One good menu choice! - Sides (fried Rice), 4,5 star It's good for the kids I may say! The veggies are not too visible and my kids say it's good! Best amount to be called sides! Overall we got good experience and happy tummy and no stomachache afterwards! So yes it's all freshly made and the ingredients are good! I know this since my hubby stomach and tongue is so sensitive for bad ingredients and not fresh food! I'm a return customer each time we come to Orange Mall!

I can understand how business owners, managers, servers, and customers are all caught within the vicious fluctuations of markets and so on. However, what I was recently served at Kaizen Shabu last week was, to my mind, an egregious example of a restaurant offering well below the bare minimum of what should be expected for the prices listed (and my photos will show this, I believe). At the outset, I want to say I have no grievances with the servers. Our server was kind, attentive, and was elegantly multitasking. Bravo. Now, the food: we ordered the salmon "sashimi" plate, and what we were handed was a platter of the thinnest, grainiest, obviously-thawed and poorly sliced salmon I've ever eaten in my life. I was a bit shocked. At Cal Shabu Shabu (and other shabu places I tend to frequent more often), sashimi is... sashimi. It *looks* like sashimi because it IS sashimi: a piece of salmon purchased by the restaurant and knife-cut into appropriate portions depending on what portion size the customer has ordered. It is sashimi that gleans in the light, where the striations of fat and tissue are visible to the naked eye on the fish itself. As you can see from my photos, we were served paper-thin salmon that I could barely peel off of the plate with my chopsticks without ripping the fish into smaller, grainier pieces. It was all but inedible, in my opinion. This is not sashimi, and to serve such a thing for the price listed is beyond atrocious: it is an outright deception. Now, onto the side of veggies and noodles that come with every order of meat or fish. Perhaps the cooks could not be bothered, but what I received was broken tendrils of 2-inch udon haphazardly thrown into a bowl. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the chefs, with a dwindling supply of food nearer the end of the night, or if this restaurant truly does not care about the quality of what they are serving customers. Again, I think my pictures speak for themselves. I used to love coming here as the atmosphere was chic, and the servers are so kind. After my last dining experience, however, I cannot justify the price of my bill in the face of the quality of the food I am being served. I won't be returning, sadly. I hope the manager has an opportunity to look at these photos and perhaps reassess what can be done to improve what they are serving their customers.

Interior is quite the Japanese vibes, it's not very spacious but spacious at the same time? We were seated near the counter and next to us were a table of two basically right beside me. Staff here is very efficient. They're quick and attentive. Orders were taken quickly and food came out in moderate speed. My wife ordered the Inaka Hot Soba and I ordered the Beef Curry. Both are presented very beautifully. We also got a Crunchy Sushi Roll to share which was super delicious and a perfect appetizer before the main entrees. The Inaka Hot Soba was very delicious, it's similar to a mazesoba mix + bibimbap which both are one of my favorite dishes. Soba noodles were not tough at all and very savory. Many flavors mixed all in one bowl was the perfect dish overall. The beef curry was absolutely delicious as well. Filled with curry flavoring on the beef, it was not super overwhelming and it was very fulfilling overall. Absolutely love the portions as well. Overall, a amazing spot in Tustin that's lowkey hidden. Food is high quality and definitely made with care. Staff is fast and professional. Absolutely coming back in the near future to try their other menu items. They have more than just soba, sushi rolls, and curry. Excited to try their other sushi rolls + udon as well.
