Venturing around Fullerton for a nice brunch spot and will definitely be adding this one to the mix. My partner and I came in on a busy, Saturday morning despite the rain. When we arrived, there was ambient, oldie-but-goodies music playing which made the atmosphere very comfy and enjoyable! The cafe has spacious indoor seating area with lots of patrons already enjoying their meals. We were met with a waitress who gave us 2 menus and kindly told us to find a table and return to the counter when we were ready to order. The tables here had lots of seating options ranging from 2 seaters near the edges of the cafe to 5-7 seating options in the center. The chairs themselves had a wide seat to it which was very comfortable and accommodating! I decided on the breakfast bowl ($14) and hot vanilla latte ($5) and my partner chose the breakfast skillet ($15) and cappuccino ($5) totaling $47.87 with tip. Overall, I would rate the food as yummy, but not stellar like I would rate other brunch spots like Snooze or Eggspresso; where I think the food really shines at these locations. However, we literally got our food and drinks in less than 5-10 minutes and the service was really nice and the staff was very kind which makes it worth it if you're in the area to check out this cafe! read more

This spot is right near my work. I walk here. I've had several items which are pretty yummy. But I've found my favorite spot for the best salad. Salads are expensive and places usually skimp on the ingredients. Not here. They use delicious salad greens-not your basic tasteless iceberg, walnuts, berries and cheese crumble. It is extra for the protein but well worth it. I like to have matcha but a lot of places don't have matcha without sugar. Here you can get that. Creamers are limited as well as sweeteners. I prefer mine with coconut milk and stevia and they have neither. Nonetheless, I still enjoy it. Now overall cost at this place is on the higher side so come ready to pay up. The thing that I take away is that they are a charity who assists young adults and I believe they are the ones who are employed. I love that! Service is as expected from a bunch of youth. I've learned to overlook it and just approach nicely with minimal expectation of reciprocity haha. Just being real . Definitely dig the street vibe though, very chill. Food // I was on the hunt for some breakfast on a weekend morning in the Fullerton area and decided that it was finally Monkey Business Cafe's turn. I ordered the So-Cal Burrito and it was just okay. It had a lot of hash browns, some (seemed like one or two pieces) bacon, eggs, and few slivers of avocado. It was tightly wrapped in a hot tortilla and served with a side of salsa. To be honest, all the flavor was in the salsa, and without it I may of struggled to get it all down. Others in my group ordered the traditional breakfast, and the waffles. Everyone said that their food was well made and filled them up, but it was kind of just like something you could of made at home. Location // Parking is tight, there are a few spaces around the building, but your best bet is to park on the street. There is also some parking structures not too far away if you are planning to walk around Downtown Fullerton afterwards. Notes // If someone invited me to eat here, I'd come back. We can here because we were visiting in the area and needed a place for breakfast. Since this place was close to our hotel and had decent reviews we decided do try it out. The breakfast burrito was pretty standard but the cheese wasn't melted in so it was a warm burrito with cold cheese. The chorizo tacos lacked flavor, the beans seemed to be unsalted and lacked seasoning, but the potatoes were decent. The waffle didn't taste like it was made with homemade batter, it was flimsy and tasted like Krusteez batter (which I love so while I didn't mind the flavor, I was hoping the batter would taste like it was made from scratch like it does at many other breakfast spots). The cream used on the waffle was good, the fruit was fresh, and they give you two waffles so you can easily share this if you want. Overall, staff is nice but the food is bland...gets the job done but nothing that really stands out. read more

July 25 10-11 am I was so excited to bring my family here. I've been here when this business made deli sandwiches and was not yelping as I should. I order Chocolate Chip pancakes , Chilquiles with scrambled eggs and a side piece of breast, Pulled pork burrito, 2 drinks and a water. We were served our food separately the pancakes came fist. We looked at each other and went with the flow and all shared. now those were delicious full of flavor. 2 huge pancakes we did not even finish them. 5 minutes later the burrito came lacked flavor horribly we added tons of salt. The biggest disappointment of my visit was I never recieved my food I ordered. In which was Chiliquiles green sauce with chicken. Instead my order was forgotten !!!!!! Extremely cute cafe but the parking is weird. It's mostly street parking with a little inlet for guest to park mix. The style of the cafe is mostly walk up/ sit down. But they do need more seating because there is a lot of 4-5 people tables and not a lot of 2 people tables. There are tables outside but it's way too cold/ hot throughout the year to sit outside. Comparably to other restaurants they don't give a whole lot of coffee. But they do give out your food in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is adorable and there are no booths or anything so you can have a look around and it's just like a big living room. I got the chocolate chip pancakes but it wasn't really chocolate chip. We ordered: Turkey Club + Biscuits and Gravy ($24) The service was great and they were being good with following Covid guidelines. Our food actually came out in like - 12 minutes. I ordered a caramel macchiato with oat milk and my mom ordered a matcha green tea with oat milk. I ordered Javis breakfast sandwich: this was.... not good. i was really trying to eat it. The feta with the cilantro and jalapeños was just a good pairing at all. I feel like if they had something else as a spread rather than mayo it would be better and more flavorful? i wish i would have ordered something else nonetheless. Fast service, extremely friendly staff. If you go in super hungry, you'll leave stuffed and with a doggy bag! They serve huge portions! My partner had the loaded potato, with the tater tot option (see pic) and it was exceptional and of course so large we brought that home also. Lots of very flavorful barbecued pulled pork mixed with perfectly cooked tater tot's and it rocked! I had the outlaw burger which was absolutely huge (see picture) I think it's more than a half pound, Great bacon, fresh pickles, and stacked with onion rings, of which the onion rings that accompanied it had to of been at least another half pound of great food!
