Mono cone is a must stop when we're in town. The desserts are the star of the show, but the hot food is also great. Burgers and chicken sandwiches are great. Fries and Pepsi products also great. Gal taking our order was so nice. I brought a tshirt for $25 as well.

My fish and chips at Mono County and LaNe very disappointed

Drove 50+ miles to get fish and chips at Mono cone and for the price. We are very disappointed..

Only complaint is that it's pricey for basic drive in food. Burger, mozzarella sticks, and a shake cost me $30. It was good though. The double cheese burger was hot, fresh, decent amount of meat, all the toppings. Mozzarella sticks were also hot and fresh, the shake had good flavor and was a decent size. Food came out quick considering how busy they were. Only a few tables inside and the rest is outdoor seating. You order at the counter outside. I'd go back since it's one of the only places in the area.

Ah, Mono Cone! I can always expect a great burger anytime I am passing through Lee Vining hungry during a long drive. This time, instead of my usual Ortega chili burger and fries, I wanted a double cheeseburger (meat!). There was a bit of a line, but that's okay. Since there were several people in front of me, after I put my order in, I took a short walk down a shirt block over to the little park nearby where the upside down house and lots of historical mining equipment is on display. I took a few photos, then walked back to Mo I Cone, got my burger, then found a picnic table on the back lawn and devoured it. So good! Note that there are multiple selections on the menu for vegetarian burgers, too.

Needed to grab something to eat. We were on our way home coming from Lake Tahoe. Stopped by this place to check it out since it was open. TIP: CASH ONLY. We got the Philly Cheese Steak Sando, Pastrami Burger, Bacon Cheese burger, fries and onion rings. My Philly cheese steak was missing the mushroom and bell peppers that a normal Philly cheese steak sandwich should have, kind of disappointed with that. For a quick bite, this place will suffice especially being in a rural area. Clean restaurant and good customer service.

Still a family favorite!! Kind staff and a wide variety of food and treat options. The fries are crispy and delicious. The fish & chips are amazing! The outdoor tables under the trees are clean and comfortable! Love the cones!

I had a delicious sundae! The staff were polite and helpful! Yummy sundae! Cute little place.

Best soft serve ice cream ever. I remember doing road trips as a kid and stopping over for their banana flavor blast soft serve cones. Not only is the service quick and easy, it also has the ambience of a classic ice cream joint perfect for any sunny day. I personally haven't tried the food myself, but my dad says the burger and fries are good and filling. I went here on a Friday afternoon and luckily it wasn't that busy and there were open parking spots. It is right next to a busy road so please be careful of your little ones! I got a small banana and large strawberry flavor blast!

Take a deep breath and just enjoy! You're traveling on Highway 395 from Los Angeles and you need a driving break! This is the best, creamiest soft serve ice cream!!!! BTW this is my trifecta soft serve ice cream, my fave! It's the only way I get through that exhausting drive on the way to Lake Topaz. Yes, there's a line but it moves quickly. If you're hungry try the burgers and fries. We just stop for the ice cream Because we're full after eating in Bishop. I see the burgers and fries ordered and it all looks delicious....

Cute ice cream shop. Stopped on our way back to the Bay Area after visiting Mammoth Lake. We were surprised by the variety of offerings they have, from soda floats, to chocolate dipped soft serve, fun swirls (flavor blasts) shakes etc. Has a nice back yard sitting area also some Indoor seating. We enjoyed our Little walk to the outdoor history museum and upside down house just a few steps behind the ice cream shop.

It is still open. I was there just a few hours ago and had a great Ortega Cheeseburger. and a Blackberry Sundae. Sorry no pictures.

Why is this closed? We drove here for our annual visit today?

The restaurant's dining room has a stunning panoramic views of the lake in addition to a warm, inviting ambience. Co-managed by Chef Jason Custer and owner Hilary Hansen Jones, it offers an unforgettable fixed-price menu featuring creative, flavorful dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The menu that evening, inspired by the Japanese tea ceremony, delivered a harmonious and tranquil multi-course experience. Highlights include a refreshing first course of watermelon sorbet with kimchi foam, a delicately cured ocean trout with caviar cream, roasted squab in cherry sauce with Korean dumplings, and a unique dessert of toasted corn ice cream dessert. Each dish was thoughtfully paired with excellent wine suggestions from the wine list that had several Old World and New World selections under $50. The attentive service at Mono Inn was choreographed by the owner who took time to regale our table in the history of the Mono Inn. There so much I love about the Mono Inn, from the low-key vibe and mixed with a formal dinner service, to the wonderfully creative dishes bursting with amazing flavors. All of these aspects make The Mono Inn a must-visit. This is my second visit, and I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

It was previously a worthy stop-off when the trip north or south was long and you needed a decent quality comfort-food bite on the fly. Sadly, this restaurant is now crossed off my list of options. Pricing here has gotten out of control (a hamburger is 30-35 dollars....a *hamburger* ?!?), with service nothing particularly special. So you will be paying roughly double, or more, for the price of a menu roughly equivalent to the quality of an Applebee's. The restaurant will argue these are the new inflationary market prices, supply demand dynamics, summer travel pricing to offset slower winter travel season, etc etc. But reaming the customer ain't a great recipe for having folks like me ever returning. It simply isn't worth it to dine here anymore, so I will keep driving past Virginia Creek Settlement and wave.
