I LOVE MOOMOOs! I have been coming here for years! They have a really cute cow theme throughout the store with free wi-fi and plenty of seating. They are connected to a ramen shop so you can even grab a bite with your boba. They have both chubby cups or tall cups for whichever you prefer. My go-to order is the lavender jasmine milk tea. This place is pretty big for a Boba shop and they could probably make better use of their interior space as it seems sort of empty. That being said the cow theme is cute. We tried a milk tea and a coca moco. The milk tea had great balance nice strong tea and just the right amount of sweetness. The boba were fresh and complimented the tea. The coca moco is a frap type blended ice coffee drink with toasted coconut and a lot of chocolate. This drink was basically a milk shake so don't order it unless you have a serious sweet tooth craving. We will be back next time we are in the Elk Grove area. It's been a while since I've had boba and over a year since coming to Moo Moo! I forgot about their chubby cups and unique drinks, until now! I walked in wanted to get a certain drink and walked out with a different drink that caught my eye. They had a Limited Time Menu sign with Lavender Oolong Milk Tea (~$4) which was oolong milk tea based with lavender flavor. I adjusted the sugar to 50% and the ice to 50%, as well. My order was ready within 5-10 minutes. This is a bit slower than most boba places but it wasn't a big deal. The staff was also super friendly! I had opened my drink to taste it and they were able to re-seal it for me. The drink itself was good. I enjoyed it and it gave me the caffeine kick I needed. One thing I love about this place that is unlike any other is the snow blended drinks, AKA snow bubble drink. You have the chance to add boba, popping boba, and all kinds of other things. They have iced Mint Mojito Coffee. Yes, you read that right. Bomb.com drink. They only serve this during the daytime though. I think they stop serving coffee drinks after 6pm. Good food and drinks. I ordered some of their takeout meals to bring to my family for lunch and we all enjoyed them. They were also helpful when it came to choosing drinks to go because at the time, the Starbucks only allowed them to sell certain drinks that did not contain tea to go outside of the store. I ordered the Strawberry Jamin which was a milk drink with strawberry jam with boba. The mascot and the branding on the cups are super cute; I love that cow. The drink was ok, it was basically strawberry milk with boba. In the future, I want to try more of their drinks and I hope I will be able to order from more of the menu and not be restricted (which I understand is not Moo Moo's fault). drinks are ok. i would say that it falls in the mid tier tea/boba places, especially relative to the other EG places in the area. i tried the taro black MT, sunset specialty tea, and jasmine MT -- all lacking in tea flavor. the drinks were slightly watered down and the boba was not soft & chewy. the tea shop itself is really cute! & the cups are the shorter, wide cups with their logo on it. with covid, the store doesn't have any tables/chairs to sit at. the ordering system is fairly organized, with a one-way direction between entrance/exit. the store is connected to a ramen shop (which i think is closed during covid?). pricing is affordable & parking is abundant! overall, ok tea shop, but nothing special read more

I am very fond of deserts of all kinds, so when Joe K. and I first discovered some new shaved ice businesses in our neighborhood, we were hooked and found ourselves on the lookout for more places to try out that offered similar items. Recently, Moo Moo's opened up in the Elk Grove area. Needless to say, we made a strategic plan to visit them as soon as possible! The "as soon as possible" didn't happen as quickly as we would have liked, but our goal was finally accomplished! We stopped by late in the evening hoping they would still be open. Luckily they are open until 10:00pm! There were several patrons enjoying a variety of menu options. Besides the shaved snows, they have milk teas, ice teas, boba and a large variety of signature drinks. But our mission was shaved snow! The owner of the shop was very nice to us and showed great enthusiasm about all the different snow creations he invented for their menu. We finally decided to throw caution to the wind and go all out by sharing four different shaved snow dishes. The prices were pretty reasonable, so splurging was a real treat! You get one free topping with each order that already included a decorative flavored sauce that accompanies the dessert. Our selections included (one at a time), peanut butter & coffee shaved snow with marshmallows & salted caramel sauce, pumpkin cheesecake with marshmallows & chocolate syrup, honeydew melon with strawberries, and last but not least, the Moo Moo Pandon with toasted coconut & sweetened condensed milk. Each was uniquely delicious, that made favoritism out of the question. The flavor combinations had a way of satisfying all the different cravings and indecisiveness one might experience when faced with so many tempting options! While most of these flavors are pretty self explanatory on how they taste, the Moo Moo Pandon was something I had never tasted before and hard to describe. Apparently when other toppings are added, the flavor seems to change! I haven't had a bad experience here yet...and I definitely come here a lot! It's a shame their Yelp is only 3 1/2 stars, because I think they deserve more. I can only hope that all of the people who gave lower reviews when Moo Moo first opened will come back and update their reviews & number of stars! The owner has been very welcoming to us whenever we come in. He always shares his upcoming ideas with us. When there's new shaved snow items on the menu, he'll give us a plate to try it out on the house. I am extremely appreciative of the great customer service here. They do take credit cards now for all of those who were disappointed about it being cash only before. They are still working on getting their POS and receipt printers working so that's why they're still calculating with pen and paper. As for my favorites - it's hard to say! For shaved snow, I love the pandan and honeydew flavors. The flavored mochi and egg pudding are my favorite toppings. For the boba drinks, I have enjoyed every one that I've ordered so far! But if I had to recommend the best, I would go with the Moo Moo's milk tea, Strawberry Jammin, and matcha green tea milk tea. Don't get the matcha milk tea!! I saw the Yelp pictures and ended up ordering one and wow, it tasted so off. I've had real matcha milk tea and I don't mind strong tea or matcha flavor but here.. It was a weird taste. It was extremely bland and thick. The workers were kind enough to add more sugar to it so I don't blame them for the drink.. But I let everyone in my group try it and everyone hated it. Even with the sugar it was bad. HOWEVER, the saving grace was when I tried my friends moo moo milk tea. Just a regular black milk tea but it was actually good! Which made me 1000 times sadder that my drink was so bad :( read more

Once you see someone leave a table you better grab it. It's currently cash only so they give 20% off for the inconvenience. We ordered the strawberry jammin and yogurt blizz. It took 39 minutes for us to get our drinks. WHAT are they doing back there?? And the drinks do not all come out at once so half your party is left waiting. Strawberry jammin: different than I expected. Very sweet. Would taste better if it was colder. Yogurt blizz: bleck!! Tasted like straight up plain yogurt blended with ice. Not sweet at all and no flavor. There were chopped up strawberry and mango pieces on top but nothing throughout so you only get fruit once you're done? Now looking at other yelp photos other people had fruit swirled throughout. Uh who wants to drink plain yogurt ? Not me. Or my boyfriend. He had one sip and said "nope!" These drinks are from their "signature drinks" menu so you would think they would be amazing. Nope. Not worth the drive, the wait, or even the 20% off. Note - there is only one bathroom for men and women to share. When I went to open the door I heard someone peeing. A man was peeing and didn't lock the door. COOL THANKS DUDE. Once he left, I went back in and he had peed on the seat. BARF. Not really the establishment's fault, but definitely added to the negative experience. Moo Moo has been open for over a year, but I just tried it for the first time on Friday, mainly because it was in the same complex as Hokee Poke. I do love boba milk tea, but I haven't found a perfect milk tea place in Sac. At Moo Moo, majority of milk teas on their menu are made from powder, which I dislike. My friend ordered first and got a coconut milk tea. It was way too sweet and artificial tasting. By far, it could not compare to Bambu's coconut milk tea, which uses fresh coconut. I ordered the dark roasted oolong milk tea with grass jelly and boba and sweetness level of 75%. The dark roasted oolong milk tea is one of two milk teas on the menu that is made with fresh brewed tea. It was fairly good and just the right level of sweetness at 75%. It has a good tea flavor, but not very strong, and becomes a little bland once the ice melts. The boba was great, very chewy and not too hard. The grass jelly was also very good. I would definitely recommend ordering the fresh milk tea because in general, it's less sweet than the other milk teas on the menu. Something else caught my eye that was a little bit of a turn off. I noticed a hand drawn sign on their counter showing that if you order ice, your drink will be filled to the top. However, if you ask for no ice, they'll only fill your cup 3/4 full (or maybe a bit more? it was hand drawn). I've been drinking milk tea for decades and with or without ice, majority of places will fill it to the top. And charge less than what they charge at Moo Moo. In a nutshell, here are my positives and negatives about this place.... Positives - 1. the fresh brewed milk teas 2. the boba and other toppings taste good! 3. drink was prepared very quickly 4. customer service was great 5. FREE wi-fi!!! 6. nicely decorated place to hang out and play games 7. cute cow logo 8. they accept credit cards Negatives - 1. the flavored milk teas are made from powder and artificial flavoring 2. they are too sweet at the standard/normal level 3. they give you less drink if you ask for no ice 4. the price for milk tea is pretty expensive ($3.85 for fresh milk tea, plus 50 cents per topping, plus tax). 5. Although their cups are cute, they don't fit in the car cup holder. Overall, this place has its pluses and minuses so it's really about what the customer prefers for their order.
