I can't differentiate if it's better or worse than other milk tea places, but I enjoyed the drink. I don't enjoy the cup size though. We've been going to this place for a very long time. Our average order is 6 drinks and few food every visit. That being said, I kept receiving emails from them saying that I have a free drink. When I tried to use the free drink coupon they sent, they don't honor it giving me excuses that they don't do Clover. They use Clover POS system and it's them who setup the promos and stuff that Clover system sends and they'll give you an excuse that they don't do it. So on April 20, 2018 I decided to try their lavender milk tea because I have been obsessing over lavender drinks lately. I came in to order a lavender jasmine or green tea, I honestly forgot which one, with NO ICE, 75% sweetness and no toppings. This place is not too shabby. Stopped by here for a drink since I was in the area waiting to kill time before my hair appointment. Walked in one late afternoon and this place was pretty vacant with two patrons hanging out at a table sipping on their drinks. I walked up to the counter and was a bit confused with their hard-to-read menu in SUPER tiny font. (I wear contacts and it was still hard to read!) Would be nice if they have a better menu that is more visible to read! Anyways, I opted for the taro snow bubble with added egg pudding and mixed jelly. The drink was a bit on the sweet side. The consistency was too thick; I was only able to sip on the melted liquid in the bottom of my cup. The mixed jelly and egg pudding threw off the drink flavor a tad bit. I ended up having to mix up the slush to get a better taste of it. The drink was overall good, but I definitely had better elsewhere. read more

Went to try their shaved snow today and it tasted pretty good! Got a large green tea with condensed milk, oreos, and mixed fruit jelly. The toppings somehow managed to overpower the shaved snow in flavor in the end, but I thought it tasted pretty good overall. It was the perfect size to share amongst three. However, a couple issues that made me feel a little iffy... 1. It's *still* cash only with a small sign saying that they're having issues with the phone line/ethernet cable. I think it has been about a month now? =/ At the moment, they're just using a written calculated sheet + calculator instead of an actual register. 2. My friends and I got charged more than what we ordered because the guy mistakenly thought we ordered 3 toppings instead of 2 toppings + 1 sauce that's included in the price of the large shaved snow. I really don't want to downrate Moo Moo since their products are pretty decent tasting. But again, do PAY ATTENTION to what you're paying for. I like the lavendar black milk tea with egg pudding and grass jelly and their green milk tea no longer taste like over powdered matcha. I got the hot taro milk tea. It was good. Not too sweet, not too bland. Just right. The temperature was super hot but it was perfect for me bc by the time I got to drink it, it was perfect temperature. :) still kind of hot but drinkable where it doesn't burn your tongue and still warms you up inside. The decor is all white and clean. It looked kind of empty but a lot of people probably just stop in to pick up like I did. I came here because it was near hokee poke and wanted a drink and poke :) Sorry I can't share whether the boba texture is good or not. I'm not a big boba fan. One of my very favorite boba places of all time. They have the BEST Taro milk tea that I've had so far. I especially like the taro coconut green milk tea (very hard to find flavor, in my experience). It's always fun to try the different flavors. They have so much to choose from on the menu. We always have a big order (#bigfamprobs), but they've never once messed up. They only offer one size cup, but if you want/need a smaller size, you can order it split into two cups (a perfect mini-size for kiddos). Service is always great, and the atmosphere is very family-friendly. There may be a little bit of a wait sometimes, buts it's worth it. Of course, there are games and stuff to keep you occupied while waiting or while you enjoy your tea time. This location is also seemingly more spacious in comparison to the newer Nubo/MooMoo location off Calvine. read more

I really love Moomoo so much. Best coconut milk tea in town! On another note, I have to commend their customer service as well. Early in January we had purchased 2 coconut milk tea and got home to drink it. It tasted off. I kept trying to take sips and it just tasted bad. My daughter said the same thing. So we called Moomoo and let them know. They said we get 2 free drinks next time due to the bad drinks. Honestly, it scared me to go back and made me sad because no other place really had a good coconut milk tea. However, flash forward months, I decided to give it a try again. They remembered me and I decided to order 1 (of 2 on the house). It tasted good! They said the milk may have spoiled at that time and apologized. Understanding of course! It happens. The next day I went back to order 3 more... And the guy said it was on the house since I had such a bad experience last time. I wasn't expecting that at all. My sister wanted ice cream, which they didn't have. :( Both our our desserts were good. The green tea shaved ice had a really strong after taste which I didn't particularly care for, but my niece loved it. My drink was a great combination of fresh fruit (strawberry and mango) and juice blended to make a great icy treat. The quality, pricing and service were all satisfactory, but I was underwhelmed by the lack of items they offered. Compared to Snowbites, Quickly, Vampire Penguin and other asian dessert places, Moo Moo lacked variety and items you can really get excited about. If I was in the area, I would probably swing by, but if I had other options, I would choose them first. read more

I love milk tea. My go to believe it or not us Matcha/tarro mixed together with boba. Sooo much greatness... I'll start if by saying the cashier was nice but when ordering I asked for no ice because I never ever get ice. Sooooo with that being said I was very disappointed when getting my drink and it wasn't a full glass. I'm sure they measure but no other milk tea business has ever robbed me of a drink. So I wasn't to satisfied that they couldn't just add some more milk. Moo Moo is a unique boba shop. It neighbors (it's actually connected to) Maru Ramen. So it's an automatic boba stop after your Ramen fix. This place has one of the cutest boba cups. It defaults to the wider chubby ones, which I think are cute. But the one downside is that they don't always fit in cup holders. The shop is cow themed which is great for those that like to take pictures of their drinks. They have the basic flavored milk teas & drinks. But they also offer other clever named specialty drinks. I think prices are fair. I don't think their actual boba is anything special, but it is decent. For the most part, customer service is mostly good. I did have one instance where it seemed like they took forever to make drinks. They have also had multiple instances when they would run out of boba. But that was in the early months of them opening. The drinks here are pretty good. I do believe that their tea is strong. I always have a hard time falling asleep after haha. read more

So far, I've had the jasmine milk tea, no ice, reg sugar. It's a rich drink and it looks like black tea base. That might add to why it's so rich? My personal preference is green tea based jasmine tea. I asked what a dirty milk tea is. I think she said it has black or brown sugar instead of the typical granulated sugar. I might try it next time. They have these chubby cups that don't fit standard cup holders. My friend said it's because this big chain nearby sued them and told them they can't sell coffee beverages. My go-to is always the Moo Moo's Milk Tea with black tea 75% sweetness with less or no boba and it always tastes consistently yummy. I would describe their black tea as strong but not overpowering with a hint of floral. It's different than other black milk teas I've tasted. The lemonade drink was way too sour and bitter like they poured it from lemon juice bottle. This is my second visit to this dessert spot. I was craving for a mangonada and didn't want to have to drive to south Sacramento for one. The mangonada I had here was close to perfect. The champs sauce and takin seasoning, along with the mango sorbet tasted very authentic. What falls short is the mango--it might've been the wrong type of mango. It was too hard for a mangonada. I would visit again to try their other offerings. They're menu is massive. And the server had mentioned that they will soon be coming out with Korean style Ice. The drinks are creative, tasty & well done. I enjoy their coconut/mocha blended drink as well as their Thai Tea. Any drink I try here is very good. The interior decor is quite nice as well. The service here is mostly fine, except for one server in particular. Nhi is very responsive to customer's orders, will go out of her way to deliver your drink to your table, is notably polite, and also greets customers on the way out. She goes above and beyond to serve her customers. Also the Mint Coffee Mojito is a sleeper OP drink. No need to go to a certain Downtown coffee chain to get that drink.
