Came here for the first time to celebrate my mom's birthday. Food was good. We ordered Pad Thai, Muay Thai wings, Panang Curry, crab fried rice, and summer rolls. My favorite is the Pad Thai. It was packed with full of flavor and was delicious. The Muay Thai Wings were also delicious. Actually, most of the items ordered were pretty tasty except for the summer rolls. The summer rolls had only 1 shrimp and the rest were just lettuce. The ambiance is nice and reminds me of the time my husband and I visited Thailand. Service was ok in the beginning then toward the end, not as great. Place was not busy at all. We were a party of 8. My sister asked the waitress for 8 small plates because we bought our Mom a cheesecake from across the street at Cheesecake Factory. The waitress responded, "For?" We clearly said for the cheesecake and there was a silent pause and she then said "let me clear these out first." Also, as we we were paying, my siblings and I decided to split the bill between the 4 of us so we had 4 credit cards and again the waitress gave us a response, "4!?" Great place, very cute, our server were very friendly. Order couple of things, from appetizers to entrees. The dumplings were really tasty, the wings were good but just a little over cooked as if it were fried couple times. The drunken noodle ooooh so so delicious, their fried rice were even better. It's been way too long to have the very best Tom Yum soup. Ever since Thai Thani closed in Redondo Beach, there were countless of times we tried various kinds of Thai restaurants to see if there is such thing that matches our benchmark when it comes to Tom Yum. Not authentic Thai food... If you don't know what authentic Thai food tastes like, you might think this place is ok. There are so many more better options to eat at in Pasadena. Pad thai is one of my favorite dishes that I enjoy if it's made right. However, this place did not do a good job. The flavor of it was way too sweet and the chicken tasted strange. All the noodles were stuck together and hard to separate. Even worse than the pad thai was the drunken noodle, which was super soggy and oily. All the noodles in the drunken noodle were broken into small pieces. It'd be difficult to eat with chopsticks. I guess this is why we were only given forks. As for the service... it was also not good. It wasn't busy during my visit, yet the waitress never checked up on us. She did not offer us any water until we asked for it. After finishing the bottle of water, she just took it away and did not bring us any more. If you want to use the Yelp check-in offer, it is only one per table. So if you have a big group and use it for the gyoza, you will only get 3 pieces of gyoza for the whole table. First of all, this place is probably a hidden gem. It's on a corner of a major street yet for a Friday evening, it wasn't packed and thankfully it wasn't. Food was amazing!! Really saddens me seeing this place empty on a Friday at 7pm. Locations is great, ambiance is modern, and service from my experience of placing an order to picking up my food was good. The green curry was flavor to the max, filled with creamy coconut milk and spices. The moo ping is a must order because the meat was perfectly tender and soft. Regardless of what you order, everything compliments each other so well. The crunch from the papaya salad is served well with them moo ping. It's a perfect combination of flavor and texture! It's very rare for a Thai restaurant to have it on their menu and after we saw it on theirs we just had to try it. We ordered the beef and the chicken version. When you first try the both, it does taste pretty good but has a curry taste leaning towards the very sweet side. If I were to compare it to ordering boba on the sugar level, I would say 100% sweetness. As for everything else in the noodle soup, there wasnt a lot of noodles for the portion. I felt like they mainly added fried wonton noodles?? To replace some of the noodles. Not sure if they ran out of noodles or something. Beef was super tender. I liked the beef better than the chicken. Cost was about $15-18 per bowl. I probably won't be coming back, but it was worth a try. Also I wished that the workers would clean up after we left instead of when we were still there. I went out of my way to leave this review because this restaurant is extremely disappointing. My experience has to do with ordering from them on Postmates. Several times, they allow my order to be placed and then I get a notification that says that they can't complete my order. We all know, that holds up the money until it's released by Postmates. Came in on a Sunday evening and there was no wait which was nice. The restaurant is very nice - clean and relatively spacious. While the restaurant itself and the service were fine, the food fell a little flat for me. We came with family so we ordered many different things to share. A small word of caution, the portion are just a bit smaller than other Thai places I have been to - it isn't the end of the world, but just something to consider if you are planning to do family style. First thing we got was a papaya salad which was EXCELLENT. By far the best item we ordered. It was crisp and tasted amazing. Probably the best I have ever had. We also ordered the Thai bbq beef which was seasoned well, but a few of the pieces were a bit chewy and tough. It comes with a sauce on the side that tasted okay, but the beef itself is flavored well. The hat yai chicken is essentially a fried chicken. Really delicate breading which was nice! The chicken itself didn't have much flavor and was a smidge on the dry side, but the sauce that it comes with was very good. It's a sweet glaze the really saves the chicken. This one tasted fine, and I'd recommend it if you wanted a chicken dish. The crispy pork pad ga pow was good! The portion for this was much smaller than expected, but it tasted great. It comes with string beans, bell peppers, and onions that are cooked in a sweet/salty sauce. I believe they use fried pork belly, which tasted great, but some of the pieces are a little tougher, so just take caution with that. The pad Thai with chicken was decent. I wouldn't say it blew me away, but it was standard. I would say it is a little on the milder side in terms of flavor. It isn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's the best I've had. The last thing we ordered was the crying tiger, which was unfortunately not my favorite. It's marketed as rib eye but was extremely tough. It was very dry, and was extremely hard to get through. Similar to the Thai bbq beef, it comes with a sauce which didn't save this dish. I'm not sure if maybe it was a fluke, but this dish was definitely something I wouldn't recommend ordering (despite sounding really cool and tasty!). Overall, I think that my experience was just okay taking everything into account. Overall prices are a little higher, portions are a tad smaller, and food was just okay for the most part. I would truly only recommend the papaya salad and the crispy pork pad ga pow from what I tried. If you are looking for Thai food and are in the area, it'll probably satisfy you. read more

I walked in on Saturday afternoon, there was not a single customer in the restaurant. I ordered the yellow curry and a Thai tea. The food was so bland, so I asked for some fish sauce and hot sauce and the server seemed irritated as he slammed the condiments on the table and walked away. The potatoes, onions, and carrots were also undercooked that when poked the potato with my fork, it ended up slipping off the plate and onto the seat. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place. Great little Thai lunch spot in Pasadena. We have been to this restaurant several times and it always has a spot available, staff is friendly and food is really good. We recently tried their crab fried rice, Tom Kha (coconut) soup and several appetizers. Everything was fresh, food came out quickly and we overall enjoyed our lunch.
