I really can't get behind low Yelp reviews because what do you mean yall only gave 3 stars to Moon BBQ #2??? Are you holding out to give the rest of the stars to Moon BBQ #1 or something??? Considering the price (about $60 total for the two of us), this place was exactly what we wanted out of Korean BBQ that is: 1. AYCE 2. located in LA 3. existing in this economy At the end of the day, I'm happy with some great bulgogi marinade and a server who jumps to change our grill top for us not one, but four different times.

My experience at Moon is always a blast. It's my favorite all you can eat KKBQ in Ktown!! The service is always 5 stars and all the staff is friendly and smiling ( shoutout Alex!). Whether it's busy or slow the food always tastes amazing and it feels like we are home each time we go. Thank you guys for always being so great.

Small price increase. I like the salad bar. Not as crowded as across the street. Small valet parking.

After 6 flags one of my son's friends requested if we can dine in at Korean Bbq. So I searched it up on Yelp on our way home to see which place was closest to where we were at. "MOON BBQ 2" showed up on my yelp search. When we arrived the parking was too small and tight , and you have to pay for the parking. Also there's a long line to dine in. I thought it would take forever before we could eat, but because we were 6 people we got accomodated right away 'coz a big table just opened up, we probably just waited like 10 mins. So before seating , they will ask you to pay first, if you have a group of more than 5 to 6 people, there's an automatically 15% tip charged already. Banchan and other side dishes are help yourself at their salad bar. We were seated with 2 grills, I assigned the second grill to my Son and his Friends and the other one was for me and my husband. There are 3 levels on their Menu and I chose only the minimum one they have 'coz we are with 4 teens and some were not familiar with Korean Bbq's or were not big eaters. But it worked, the teens enjoyed the food, but they were not able to try all of what was on the menu 'coz they kept Chatting more than eating ;) But me and my husband enjoyed it and were able to order everything on our menu level. The meats here were well marinated and tender. The service was fast and friendly.

Affordable AYCE KBBQ restaurant in LA that has 3 options to choose from. One pays before sitting down, which we found quite odd, but the quality of the meat is good, especially the bulgogi, which was marinated. The brisket was plentiful but a little dry/not as flavorful. The restaurant doesn't have many sauces to dip things in. They do have a "salad" bar with nice banchan options. The servers were attentive and brought out the meats quickly and changed our grill when needed. I also appreciated having multiple tongs at the table.

Omg, Alex is the best waiter! not only did he recommend the best choice of meat but great movies! if i can give Alex a ten star i would !

Moon BBQ 2 is always amazing--great food, fresh sides, and a fun atmosphere. Alex is hands down the best server here and deserves a raise for how well he takes care of customers!

It's been so long since I've been here and it is still amazing as it was during the pandemic. Now there's better seating and a self serve salad bar which was amazing. Still have to pay upfront but it's honestly better that way once you're done you leave. The food itself is decent, the flavors are great and a good selection of meats, this place is good if you want more bang for your buck and don't really care about gourmet. Service is super amazing, the guys here are so attentive and bring everything promptly. It can be loud In here but it's a cool place to come eat especially late night. I definitely recommend coming here

Ol reliable. I choose Set A and that's satisfying enough for me without breaking the bank. $22 + Tax. The self serve bar is great because I choose what I want without being wasteful. Free cold water pitcher on every single table. Plentiful, friendly staff if you need to ask for anything. By the way, you can't come here alone. Minimum of two people per group. Overall, will ALWAYS come back here for KBBQ that won't hurt my wallet too much.

    Satisfied customer!

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

I really wanted authentic Korean food that was not kbbq and not tofu and this place delivered! This restaurant is in a small strip mall. The strip mall has other Korean food options. They have a valet parking system of sorts but we didn't pay, we self parked. The attendant told us we were fine. It was approx 9pm when we arrived and also a week night. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. The bowls were large and came out piping hot. It was a satisfying meal and not too heavy. The price point was on the pricey side. Our waiter told us business has not been the same post covid. Some dishes are between $40-$60. I asked for a soup and they were able to make it less spicy. My friend got a soup with dumplings in it. He put a good amount of soy sauce to give the broth some life. Also, the banchan is on point. We asked for a refill and devoured the second portions. If you wanna impress friends with Korean food, bring them here! Its a casual place.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
