I came here with a friend and her family. The place is huge! I hear it's a good place to go for outdoor patio seating during the summer, so will need to come back then. I ordered the macaroni & cheese deep dish pizza. It was a 10", but after the free bread and butter starter, I could only eat 2 slices. So feeds 2-3. Not bad, but i feel it needed bacon or jalapeños. ..something to add some flavor and dimension. After the first slice, I was over it. The food at the Edison Park location is great with a large selection to choose from. I have lived in the neighborhood for 40 years and have been going there even before that, Servers are friendly. Love the outdoor patio! However, the decor is dated and the place could use an update. It looks like it hasn't been remodeled in a while. Also, I miss the bar that used to be in the center of the main dining room. That was a loss as far as I'm concerned, It was always packed, and being a neighborhood place, you ran into people there all the time. Love the place, but consider an update. read more

I'm going to keep this short and simple. I've been coming here for years now and the only reason why I keep coming back is mainly because of my spouse. The positives: outdoor patio is nice and service is fantastic. It's a nice way to enjoy a summer evening with friends. Parking used to be free in the lot down the block but I'm not sure that it is anymore. The cons: prices are high for a bar/restaurant with "eh" food quality. You're really here for the atmosphere. Nothing tastes bad, just not worth the price in my opinion. If you can catch a special like half price pizza or special of the day, and it's a beautiful day out, it might be worthwhile. read more

I can only write a review on delivery and the food. I have never stepped inside this restaurant. Ordered from here after seeing they had a simple online ordering process. It kind of reminded me of dominos because you can track your order. I ordered two 12" thin crust pizza's. The projected delivery time was ~55 minutes, it ended up getting delivered in about 40 minutes, which was great. The pizza itself was good. Good cheese to sauce ratio. Went for lunch on Monday. The place was quite dirty, especially the tables and bathrooms. The service was exceedingly slow but I understand that they were training new personnel that day so maybe they get a pass for that? But, overall, this is not nearly as good as it used to be. They really need to deep clean the whole place and focus on service. Food was ok but nothing that would draw me back. I'd say if you want a beer and to sit on the patio, this is fine. Update: Since my review, the manager has contacted me for more information and has expressed a strong desire to improve the performance and quality of the restaurant. I am hopeful that with his attention, Moretti's will return to its former glory. Everybody deserves a chance, especially these days. read more

Website says they close at 2:00am, yet who I would assume is the manager is yelling and clapping in peoples faces to "get out" at 1:15am. Edison Park Moretti's is my go-to restaurant for the area, in fact, I'm ordering there tonight. I have a handful of items I love - including the BBQ pizza, chicken wings, and all of their salads. My family loves their pasta and their specials can be good too! Football season is the best - - well, patio season is the best, but watching the Bears game in the winter is pretty fun! This establishment has been around for sometime now, so I thought it would be safe to try and it was highly recommend for pizza. I'm not a big pizza girl but they won me over when I saw gluten free pizza option and there is a small gluten free section. The drinks are so reasonably priced and they have daily specials on food and drinks! A lot of the drinks had rumchata featured as the liquor, what fun! I had a antioxidant sangria which was not fresh at all (sad face) and tasted like simple sugar. We then got a couple of red wine bottles to try to tone it down, it got better. Had the grilled calamari with a small arugula salad, was very good! Had the meatballs- the red sauce was so yummy! I asked for more red sauce/marinara.. this sauce is the BOMB! Hands down, it's thick yet has a slight broth texture added with stew tomatoes and garlic! We then made our own deep dish pizza, soo good and you can get full on just a slice. They give you a good size of the toppings you choose. It was well worth the calories, then washed it down with a dessert martini and a skillet cookie: sugar overdose! This spot was a pleasant surprise and it's a great place to watch some sports- they have lots of TVs and not to mention their music selection was perfect and made us want to dance the night away. If I could give zero stars I would. Long long wait for our food. Alison, a waitress who wasn't even assigned to our table came up and yelled at us for no reason except that we were trying to be nice and find out who a lost cellphone belonged to from a table next to ours. To be yelled at and treated like a thief in a restaurant infront of other customers is very humiliating, especially when you had no bad intentions. When it's good, it's SOOO good. But it's likely that your order is incorrect, cold, undercooked, or there's something weirdly "off" about it. I do intermittent fasting and, if you've ever done it, you know how much you look forward to that first meal. Bad food is always disappointing, but after a whole day of not eating, only to be given something that isn't what you ordered, and not very good otherwise, it is worse than heartbreak. It's happened several times before and I got over it, but I don't think I can't forgive Moretti's for this one. I'd planned to check out Tailgators BBQ on NW Highway on the way to see a client...however, they look to be closed....for good. I'd been to Moretti's in Edison Park years ago and remember the pizza being pretty good. However, this was lunch and just wanted a simple sandwich. Went with the Chicken al Forno flatbread sandwich and it was sensational...I had almost zero expectations coming here as i'd seen some negative reviews on Yelp re: their West Side location, but this was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Great char grilled chicken breast with bacon (great quality bacon btw), tomato, feta cheese and some Parmesan drizzle with marinara on the side. I can honestly say that I will come back here for that flatbread sandwich alone, when i'm in the area. I also love the area this is located in. To me it's a quintessential neighborhood-feel bar and grill with a huge comfy bar area (see pics) as well as a sizable beer garden. It is located on a quaint, quiet little street, right across from the Edison Park train stop. If I lived in this neighborhood, it would be a staple local pub to catch a game (they have upwards of twenty 42" flatscreens!) or just kick back in the beer garden w. friends. read more

I live within walking distance of Moretti's and every time we order from them we are underwhelmed. Their pizza is very greasy and their menu is pretty uninspired and kind of expensive. They started Moretti's after dark witch is a live band and a DJ Saturdays. If you want to have a private event the upstairs party room hokds abiut 250 ppl. Food is great. Everything from salads wraps pizza and pasta. In the summer you can choose to sit outside on the huge patio. If you work down town you can jump off the Metra train right in front of the place. Edison Park stop. Monday's kids eat free how cool is that! Tuesday 1/2 price pizza. If the Hawks are playing sundays- Monday's-tuesdays you can win a jagermeister hockey jersey!! read more

So we just moved into the Edison Park area, and we are so looking forward to ordering out from a few new places. We got a few recommendations and decided on Morettis. After looking at the reviews on yelp, I was a bit concerned because they were mixed. One review that kept showing up was how their order was either late or incorrect. We ordered ahead of time today because I have a six-month-old at home. We ordered at 2 for a pickup a 5 o'clock. My husband is still there waiting for the order. I think they totally whiffed on it. Hopefully when he gets here, the food will at least be good. Update. I did follow up with emailing the manager like I was asked, but I haven't heard anything back.
