Let me begin this review with, Save your money and eat at another location! I've dined and gotten food delivered many times from Moretti's and every time there is something wrong with my order. I keep on saying,"well maybe next time it will be better". Every time it gets worse! This place has horrible management, the kitchen could care less if your food is cold or not! I ordered my food today, I was told food would be ready in 30 min. I arrived at the restaurant in 28 min to pick my food up. The gentleman greeted me promptly and said he would go check on the food. He returned with the food. I literally live 3 minutes from the restaurant. So I get home and I unpack my food to see my fries are LITERALLY ice cold! Like they were made 30 minutes ago. I work in the food industry and know what old cold food tastes like! Last time I god food delivered it was also ice cold, because I'm so close to the restaurant that they make all the deliveries and make mine last. This place is not where you want to go to get a meal! read more

This review is for carry out not dine in. Only had the food once and it was for carry out. Food was hot and ready to go upon my arrival, host/cashier was very polite. I paid a little over $50 for 3 pasta dinners and said this better be the best damn pasta I've ever eaten in my life and sure enough, it came through. Will be ordering again most definitely. Also... I'm not a "Mask Nazi" so I didn't really invest my time into noticing whether or not anyone was wearing a mask or practicing social distancing. Unlike all the other assholes reviewing here bitching about being shoulder to shoulder at a bar/restaurant where people are inevitably within close proximity from one another. If you're worried about people being maskless in an enviromment where a mask and food kinda don't work together my suggestion to you would be to go have a microwaveable lean cuisine from Jewel in your safe space where the bad maskless heathens won't hurt you. Oh, and grow the fuck up and take some responsibility for yourselves. I'd pay good money to watch one of you morons eat with a mask on :D read more

This place has pretty decent food. The staff are friendly. I would recommend a thin crust pizza. They have a good drink selection as well.

My First time booking a party at Morton Grove Moretti's on 6/26/22 my family has always been to the Edison Park location so it was nice having such a large parking lot and not paying for Chicago parking. The Assistant @ Morton Grove Manager Rachel went above and beyond from the very start helping out Donya (waitress) & Tyan (bartender) assisting and suggesting to how to decorate the room, bringing in extra table for extra guests, The buffet table was constantly getting refilled when low, food always hot and very good, dishes & glassware cleared with rapid speed. All three ladies were so attentive with my daughters Bridal Shower. It's very difficult especially these days getting good service because restaurants are so short handed. Nice place. The have a huge outdoor patio. The perfect spot for outdoor dining. The food is very good and very reasonably priced. They were training new servers on our recent trip there. They greet you with a smile and are attentive. Take out is easy and delivery is fast. Always get our order correct. Come by if you are in the neighborhood. We ended up here after we found out our original target restaurant was closed for a private party. I honestly did not read any of the reviews until AFTER our experience and it's hilarious how the common theme of 'incorrect orders' actually rang true! We ordered a little before 7pm. It took at least 10 minutes before our drinks came out. When it was almost 7:30 I had to inquire about our appetizers. I must admit the calamari was good and so was the bruschetta. Finally a little after 8pm our pizza was brought to our table. Unfortunately, it was the wrong one! I had ordered the Moretti's Chicago Classic and we were given the BBQ Chicken. Ironically our waitress first took our order, reconfirmed our order, but she still got it wrong. I told her that it was the wrong pizza and she offered to get us the right one. But I honestly didn't want to wait another hour for another one. Especially since she stated that "the kitchen is really backed up right now." Again, I enjoyed the pizza regardless. I order from this place all the time and often my orders are wrong or the delivery person drops off without letting us know they dropped it off but we always come back giving them another chance. But tonight might be the straw that breaks the camels back! I ordered a sandwich for delivery. The sandwich was 14.99. They will not deliver cuz the minimum for delivery is 15.00! I asked if they were seriously not going to deliver over one penny. No they would not. So I had to order a can of soda. And they still over charged me!!! $30 for a sandwich, fries and a can of soda! Would not recommend this place to no one. My calamari appetizer was served 45 minutes after and it came out cold af. Baby back ribs that came with coleslaw does not taste right. My friends wrap did not come in with mushrooms and was served undercooked. We asked them to take it out of the check and we still waited for another 30minutes to get the check. And guess what... 1st check was all wrong orders... 2nd time you guessed it... still wrong until the 3rd one was finally corrected. That took another 30minutes. Saturday at 630pm we were not greeted by a hostess but had to flag her down from behind the counter where she was staring off taking care of no one. She proceeded to talk us out of eating here because of the horribly long wait for a table outside (not bad really 20-30 min). We would have stayed and waited if it wasn't for her poor attitude. We asked if she was actually suggesting we not stay. She stared off and didn't reply. Please hire higher caliber hostesses. They are the face of your wonderful restaurant. We left in shock. First time back at Moretti's since the remodel (removed the main bar, added extra seating) and SO disappointed. We like to come for a few drinks and pizza or appetizers. Now when you walk in, its all tables and the bar is jn the separate room to the left. First, Service is HORRIBLE. 5 bartenders, all standing around talking to each other. Had to wait for one to acknowledge we were there for service. The had to Flagged one down for second drink. at first he asked who was taking care of us (he was the one counting cash) and then he reluctantly served us. About 30 mins into our visit the music CAME ON AND I MEAN CAME ON! We were sitting next to each other and couldnt hear what the other was saying. Pizza came and had to flag down "our" bartender for plates and utensils. Yes the bar was full but there were 5 bartenders! Won't be back to this one. read more

Unfortunately this location is the worst Moretti's in the area. Food is definitely not as good as Rosemont or Morton Grove. Delivered pizza is often undercooked and cold. Delivery drivers rarely use the pizza box insulated cover others use. Menu is good and offers many choices. Hopefully management at this location can get their act, kitchen and delivery drivers up to standards. Maybe send management to Rosemont to learn how to cook their food better? I was a little bit disappointed last visit when we ordered a lasagna, in the Italian restaurant, and they were out of it. It was around 18.30pm! How can a Italian restaurant be out of lasagna?! Been coming to this place for years. Walked in on a Saturday around 3:30 ish. Waited for a server for at least twenty minutes. Once someone came to the table he asked if someone had already taken care of us. Which was a no. He then proceeded to say he would grab our order. We ordered a pizza and a chicken parm. Once our food came out the chicken wasn't cooked properly had to send it back and the pizza was soggy. The chicken parm was so bad we didn't even have an appetite after. Worst service. Server came to the table to take drink orders and after they served our drinks and took the food order they never came back. We ordered an app that never came to the table. My daughters pizza eventually showed up and my husband and I never got our dinners. After waiting a while 30-40mins I went and found the server who was standing by the bar chatting and said "what's up" and they said oh you need the check? I said no, we never got dinner. They looked surprised but no urgency was had. I left with my daughter and my husband waited another 15 mins to pay the bill which was not delivered to the table, he had to ask the host to charge him for what was delivered. I went here with family to have a couple of pizzas (Veggie, deep dish sausage, and deep dish pepperoni.) The food was good for the most part but the service was awful. The food took a long time which is fine but to get the bills and to clear the tables it took forever. When we mentioned this, the bar maid gave no apology and actually said, "we're short staffed be patient with us." The bar maid acted like it was our fault. Like maybe if she said something like "Sorry for the wait we just been short on staff" then the service wouldn't been nearly as bad. The server was competent but the way the bar maid delivered the message was rude and unprofessional in the industry of customer service which is why we probably won't be back. read more

I have been coming here since I was a kid. My grandmother has been living in Edison Park for 50 years, after my grandpa passed away Moretti's is the only place she really feels comfortable coming. This is mostly due to the employees and how they go above and beyond for her and her elderly sister. They help her in, to her car, go above and beyond. Moretti's has a great pizza and their meatball appetizer is delicious. I do wish that they would remove the surcharge of 3% onto the final bill. You get you bill and pay for your meal, and then realize that there is an extra 3% added on. They say you can ask for it to be removed, but by the time you realize it, it is too late. If you need to raise prices due to the inflation, that is ok, but the surcharge situation is kinda ridiculous. read more

I recently visited the Moretti's location in the Edison Park neighborhood of Chicago with my wife. It's a family style Italian restaurant with some elevated dishes. First, it's a big restaurant with many seating options. You can sit in the main dining room, at their bar or in their patio. I ate in their main dining room and I enjoyed watching sports on their many TVs. Second, their food is good. To start, we ordered cheesy pull apart bread for an appetizer. I loved pulling it a part and it was super cheesy. For our main courses, we ordered the filet mignon trio and the angel hair pomodoro. The steak was cooked nicely and it was juicy. I also liked the mashed potatoes. In the pasta, the shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sauce was great. For dessert, we ordered the four layer chocolate fudge cake and the cannolis for dessert. The cake was amazing. It was moist and uber chocolatey. Third, the meal was a great value.
