Simply just simply awesome! Friendly staff, fabulous drinks and tasty food. Second time here in less than a year. Gotta go - don't put it off because it's in Woodland (north of Davis) and because it's not the Bay... Go because it's Woodland and part of Yolo County's expanding agricultural industry. Then follow it up with a trip to The Hive for mead, honey and so on... Ordered a spring special orange blossom latte with two percent milk and avocado toast prepared Caprese style. Soooooooo freaking yummy!

Companion ordered dirty chai and bacon breakfast burrito. Will be back in a few months for a reset after summer break starts. Woohoo!

Food and beverage was basic. Service is you walk up to the register order your food and they give you a buzzer when your food is ready. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You have to hope there is a seat to sit down at as it is a popular place with college students.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Probably won't go back

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Showed up on a weekday morning for a quiet place to work with my coworkers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got an iced chai, a breakfast burrito, and an iced matcha later in the day. Service was slow, but they seemed pretty busy, so that seems to be why. The food was all fine - nothing to write home about, but it was decently priced and convenient. I'll be back when I'm in the area, but probably wouldn't make a special trip.

Great find, we've driven past many times but this was the first time to go in. Nice selection of coffees, pastries and a small food menu available. But it also wasn't anything mind blowing. It was around $44 just for 2 coffees and two food items. The waffle tasted like it was frozen. The toast had a good amount of avocado on it and tasted good. In contrast, the staff were very rude and not helpful. It was our first time and we did not feel welcomed. We even thanked the staff after receiving our order and she just looked away. Morgan Mill is a great little spot tucked away on Court Street in Woodland; cozy, cute, and full of potential. We stopped in for brunch and were intrigued by the menu. I ordered a waffle and (what I thought was) a side of bacon. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the bacon would be inside the waffle -- like, baked into it. It was a surprise and not a pleasant one. The texture of mushy bacon inside an otherwise crispy waffle was a total miss for me. Who likes mushy bacon? That said, their Orange Blossom Latte was absolutely delicious. Sweet, fragrant, and perfectly balanced -- easily the highlight of the visit. One small heads-up: it was really cold inside, which made it a little uncomfortable to sit and relax. I'd come back for the coffee, and maybe try something else on the menu, but next time I'll be super specific about how I want my bacon.

Great coffee shop and peaceful spot. We frequented here when our 2nd child was born, it is close to our home and has a delicious avocado toast with scrambled eggs that my wife and kids love! We add tomatoes and cheese and I have tried their lavender lattes, black coffee, and iced coffee. All good stuff and friendly staff. They have a nice indoor and outdoor seating setup. They also offer different food items, highly recommend the avocado toast. Vibe is a 5 star, coffee 4-5, food (avocado toast) 4. Worth trying, it's a good coffee shop with a limited food menu and a great ambiance.

I miss the goat waffle! They've changed their menu since we last came and my favorite is gone. That's a bummer. The basic waffle with an assortment of toppings is still there, though I wonder if they changed how they cooked it. It was soft and soggy, not crisp at all. My kid only ate half before declining the rest which is unheard of. Tried taking it back to the kitchen hoping they might have a broiler to throw it under but they didn't. We will take it home and try toasting it in the toaster to make it more palatable. I tried a bacon breakfast burrito and it wasn't bad. Smaller than I expected but I kind of dig the panini press smoosh--it added a delightful crunch. Drinks as always are tasty and service was fast. Came on a gray day so we had to fight for a table, but with nicer weather there is a ton of outdoor seating for larger groups.

My first stop. I love the atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They use fresh ingredients including a local coffee roaster. There is a really nice indoor seating area and a huge outdoor patio in back as well as a nice outdoor seating area in the front. Morgan's Mill is a cozy welcoming coffee shop in woodland. Staff is very kind as soon as you walk in. I love the ambiance in the evening because of the bright light bulbs indoor & outside. I ordered an iced latte with lavender syrup & an avocado toast with sourdough bread. Please note their kitchen closes at 3:00pm but they should have pastries available at least. I agree with Oscar from another recent review. My daughter loves this place, so my wife and I came in to try it. We each ordered a breakfast burrito. There were two customers who had already ordered that were seated outside the restaurant and one inside. It took fifteen minutes to serve the burritos that were simply defrosted and heated in a microwave. I went in to check on the order and saw them pulling them out. They were about $5 each. Packaged salsa came with it. Sad. Complete waste of money and time. Atmosphere gets two stars. Service and food quality get 0 stars = 1 star total. Nice try Morgan's Mill. Never again for us. read more

Called in to see if they were offering done in option and they said yes. I told them I'm bringing in a party of 8. They said no problem. What I should have clarified that we wanted a full service experience. Got here and no seating available inside. Sat in the cold outside and food was ok. Ordered 3 burritos (sold out for the fourth request) but opted for 2 avocado toast. Coffee wasn't my taste. Cappuccino and iced decaf. Could not drink it. Not coming back. $35 out the door. read more

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this on Yelp. It was such a great find! The food is excellent and filling, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The interior is clean, and you can sit either indoor or outdoor. Love the brick building, industrial aesthetic. [COVID-related review] - There was hand sanitizer provided at the entrance, and guests are encouraged to wear masks when they get up from their table. WILL TRAVEL FOR LAVENDER LATTES! We decided to take a little trip to check out Morgan's Mill today. I couldn't wait to try their Honey Lavender Latte and it didn't disappoint! Perfect lavender taste! My daughter got an Iced Matcha Latte with Almond Milk. She said it one of the best non-sweetened matches she's had. We also tried the Avocado Toast and a Strawberry Waffle. Both were delish! I love this place! Morgan's Mill is so friendly and cozy. The staff are kind and the ambiance is just amazing. It's a great place to meet friends or work alone. I have had order mix ups a few times (like getting a plain tea instead of a latte) so I can't give it five stars but when the order is made correctly it is lovely. Felt like an off day inside the mill. Been looking forward to visit after a strong recommendation specifically for the matcha. Unfortunately they were out, but the strange thing was the employee seemed quite unfriendly and bothered to have to tell me that. So we asked for the regular coffee which was just pour your own and it tasted old. Weird service and lesson learned. read more

First of all, coffee in the morning and beer in the evening set up in the middle of the business district... genius. I was visiting the area for a job and we ended up coming here to grab some coffee. Nice people, enjoyable atmosphere, clean. Their coconut mocha was one of the best damn coffee drinks I've ever had. These people ain't jokin around. read more

I probably should have done more research about the place. So if your looking to grab breakfast this place is not the place to come to. They have a very limited menu, only breakfast sandwich and burrito and waffles or avocado toast. Instead of leaving I thought I would give their breakfast burrito a try, very disappointing. The burrito taste one of those breakfast burritos you stick in a microwave, if I didn't pay pay for this food I would have just toss it. It nasty just like a frozen burrito would taste like. Maybe they're more known for their coffee but if breakfast you want I would try another spot. read more

I worked in independent coffeehouses for many years and am forever in search of real ones; it's a kind-of hobby of mine. Locally owned places where you can rely on the quality of the espresso and buy a fresh pastry or light, decently healthy snack, feel comfortable with the staff, and hang out for a while in a pleasant environment. Morgan's Mill meets my every expectation and then some. A true coffeehouse, a gem in Woodland. Parking is plentiful, I love the industrial lighting and the brick, comfortable seating is aplenty - and the books are real. In fact, when I next visit I'll bring a book to donate. read more

Over all a nice experience at this historic coffee shop. Although not a 5 for 5 experience, it was still a nice experience. For starters you walk in and the lay out is a bit confusing, not sure if it was the numerous amount of unlabeled business that throws the customer off. The inside is quaint but a bit on the small side. It was a Monday and yet with the small handful of people inside, we didn't have a place to sit. Makes eating and enjoying coffee difficult. For the price, you are given a disappointing sized burrito, but I will say that it was super flavorful. The burritos are consistently changing, so you have to ask what they contain on any given day. The waffle was delicious, though they had ran out of bananas by 0930 in the morning. Weird! Coffee was good, a bit sweet but the presentation was spot on. Discovered this on a road trip from Seattle to LA. Had to stop and get gas and found this gem on Yelp. The caramel aroma of the coffee hit me as soon as I opened the door. Couldn't wait to get mine. So delicious. I tried their maple latte and it was the perfect amount of coffee and sweetness. Complimented my fluffy pumpkin muffin; a lot of buttery goodness in each bite. Don't know where they get their pastries and it's probably a hog thing out I would have had to makes side trip to that bakery too. Had vegan pastries for my husband, too. They menu is quite well diverse, lots of options. The location is a bit hidden, which make it a gem! What a disappointment! I took my daughter to Morgan's this morning for coffee and light breakfast. The place is run down and scruffy with little ambiance. The menu had several interesting choices, but I was put off by the facility so settled for a TOASTED bagel and coffee and an ice tea for my daughter. My first cup of coffee didn't raise to the level of poor. It tasted weak and burned. My bagel was served, not toasted, but just warm. That cream cheese was served in a foil pack I had to force open with a car key. I returned my coffee cup to the counter and used the self serve pot with a clean cup. That cup was worse than the first cup. Slight taste of turpentine and undrinkable. The ice tea was good! This very unpleasant experience cost me over $17.00 including a wholly undeserved tip. I would have complained to the staff, but the young lady was clearly not interested and the young man didn't get off his interesting cell phone experience to even look up. Lesson learned, I won't return to Morgan's Mill. read more

I love coming here and can stay here for hours. The coffee is good and the employees are friendly. This place is also very dog friendly but you can't have the dog inside but walk it through the cafe to outside. The waffles here are very good. They sell beef here as well but I haven't tried it. I love American cheese on a burger, but in an omelette, it just doesn't do it for me. Mixing it didn't really help either and the foam curdled a bit and I ended up not really being able to taste the lavender because it got overwhelmed by the cold brew. I think I probably just picked poorly but I can't say I really enjoyed my drink - perhaps a latte next time!
