Fish quality was outstanding, clean flavors, perfect texture, and clearly handled with care. Dishes were balanced and refined rather than flashy for the sake of it. This restaurant is nestled in the hotel, so it's rather loud, and not the best for conversation or a fancy date night. One of the pricier restaurants on the strip, and each of the nigiri (raw fish with rice) comes with only one piece as opposed to two. The best piece of nigiri was the oh-toro. The negitoro maki roll was interestingly the star of this meal, with a good ratio of fish to rice. The spicy tuna roll has a subtle spice. Each of the nigiri pieces has a tiny bit of wasabi under the fish for added flavor, which is traditional of Japanese style sushi but just in case you don't like wasabi, let your server know. For warm dishes, the pork belly with congee was amazing, perfect amount of savory, and the warm was in stark contrast to the sushi. Recommend starting with a warm appetizer and then sushi. It was a very unique experience eating at Morimoto. Though noisy and sometime difficult to hold a conversation, I sat next to my wife so we could more easily converse. The room to the left ofdered amazing seating, but had a DJ, which webhad to move to another table. Our service was very good. They let us order in phases, had great insights to ofder on our selections, and we consistently changing out our plates ensuring the next wave wasn't adulterated with the previous delight. We enjoyed the soft crab roll, the Land and Sea roll, sticky ribs, lobster buns, sweet shrimp, and the coconut lemon cheese cake desert. I found all very good, but beware rhe sweet shrimp is very rich and I would recommend it for sharing with more than two persons. I really enjoyed the lobster buns, and Land and Sea roll. The outside layer of the roll was amazing, but would have liked to be a little more on the inner roll than a fancy California roll as it took away from the potential sophistication of the roll, though still really good with the smoked addition (see photo). The ribs too are very rich and delectable, falling right off the bone. Again, due to richness don't plan on eating more than two. With a three piece order they add one for a total of four. The drinks were excellent. My wife got the one with Macha, and I got the geisha, both of which were awesome. Also got the flight of sake, which is a four 2oz samples or Morimoto's sakes, which were excellent and came with a great description from the waitress. My favorite was 60/40, while all were excellent. Highly recommend this dining experience, but be prepared for the bill, to which the sake flight helps dull the pain. read more

What to rave about first?!? I regret having pushed this experience off for so many Vegas trips! Wow, just...wow. Hot stone wagyu experience is not to be missed. Everything from the wasabi (!!!!!) to the soy sauce is top notch and authentic. I don't even eat red meat very often (1-2x a year) and this was sublime. The whitefish carpaccio was fluke. I'm not normally a fan of raw whitefish, but the flavors they put together for this made it worth the risk. I've been a fan of Morimoto forever and was very excited to try but have mixed emotions. We visited on a Thursday with reservations, just 15 after open. Hostess stand seemed a little disorganized but pleasant. It seemed that the servers were getting overwhelmed so they had to stagger tables. Server was nice enough but as dinner progressed and the tables filled up, we saw her less and less. We were sat right by the kitchen and our server passed us many times, never glancing in our direction. We had to flag her down at one point for the next round. We ordered the Sake Sangria and Yuzu martini, both were nice and very strong but expensive for how basic. We started with the hamachi tacos and wagyu carpaccio. Both were fresh and delicious! For main we ordered tofu miso and 10 hour pork belly. Miso was standard and fine. The pork belly was not great. Place is very cute inside and the bar area was buzzing with hip people. read more

7:15 reservation, we arrive on time. Probably a 5 minute wait. Once seated we were given menus. When booking the reservation, there was an option for a bottle of sparkling wine to start the meal. Since there was 4 of us why not start with some bubbles. We were informed they were out of what we ordered but they did have a rosé option. The rosé was really good. We started with the Toro tartare and white fish carpaccio. The white fish was sliced paper thin but had a great meaty texture and the ponzu style sauce was wonderful. A mixed green salad sat in the middle of the plate and fish surrounded the outside of the plate. The tartare was more like a paste smeared upon a rectangle, caviar in the middle and lots of little sides to go along with it. Wasabi, nori paste, some chives, sour cream and a dipping sauce. The toro had amazing flavor. The sides fit perfectly. 3 of us wanted sushi, so we ordered quite a few pieces. Luckily I asked. Each piece of sushi is 1 piece, not the standard 2 pieces per order. I actually like this option better because I didn't have to eat a piece of something one of the table mates wanted. 3 pieces of Saba, the mackerel was fresh and flavorful 2 pieces of Tomago that was the egg omelette. The egg was a perfect rectangle, firm enough to hold up but not dry. 2 pieces of Wagyu the beef was slightly charred, it was buttery soft and tender. The meat had great flavor. 2 pieces unagi the eel was cooked well, the house made sauce was exceptional. 2 pieces of king crab. The crab was an impressive amount of crab. A beautiful piece of leg meat. It was so fresh and tasty. 1 piece of Sale, my daughter had that one so I didn't try it but she loved it. My wife, who wanted to come here, decided on the chicken. She wasn't feeling sushi that night. The Angry chicken is a half of chicken with charred shishito and Thai peppers, topped with some crispy noodles. I thought that big breast of chicken was going to be dry. I was so wrong. I had a bite of the chicken and it was moist and juicy. The outside of the chicken had this amazing rub to it. Now my kids decide they want a couple of rolls to go with the sushi. They decide on the Tiger roll and salmon jalapeño roll. My favorite was the salmon roll. I am huge fan of Morimotos. Being from the Bay Area originally, the wife and I used to hit up the one in Napa all the time. It was a our favorite spot after a day of wine tasting. Since we moved to LV, it's like we never skipped a beat. The consistency of the food between Napa and LV is AMAZING. The Toro Tartare, the King Crab Legs, the duck fat fried rice, the miso sea bass... all of it is just as good. And the service is just as amazing too. We get the same spectacular service at both places. I love it so much, that it' my favorite spot for my birthday dinner. Some guys prefer a steakhouse... I prefer Morimoto's. I love Japanese food and his executions are some of the best. If you haven't been there yet, I suggest you try it. You won't regret it. read more

Not gonna lie, I went into Morimoto not expecting much. The dude is a big fella and so well known, but for some reason celeb restaurants often dispppoint. They expand so much that the quality isn't upheld. I was actually really happy with the food at Morimoto. Surprisingly happy. I'd def go again and have the same items or try some new ones! Their rock shrimp tempura came in two styles - a very light, seriously only the most mild gochujang sauce and an again, very light, wasabi aioli. I'm not usually into wasabi but the flavor was so unoffensive that I enjoyed both styles greatly. Great appetizer for $27. We also had the Kakuni which was a ten hour pork belly over rice congee for $20. Loved this, so tender. I mean check out the quick video I posted, it just broke apart so nicely and was very tasty. For our main dish, my friend and I shared the Chef's Combination Sashimi. Really fresh fish, great selection and beautifully fresh presentation. Loved it. To end the meal, we went with the big bang. The Fiery Chocolate Bomb Tart ($20) is such a fun dessert! I love dinner and a show and if you do too, this is the meal ender to get. Marshmallow, salted caramel ganache, spiced rum in a chocolate coated sphere with chocolate sorbet on the side. Chocoholics' (like myself!) dream dessert. Dinner at this restaurant was the highlight of my trip to Las Vegas. I ate at the bar, it's first come, first served. I asked the bartender for advice on popular dishes and I started with the tuna tacos. Incredible flavors! The tuna just melted in my mouth. Although it says spicy it's just good flavored unless you don't like any kind of heat. I ordered the Chilean seabass as the entree with sushi rice. The sides are not included, you can pick among a handful of options. It was the best chilean seabass I've had, it was so soft and juicy. It came with a kind of jalapeno sauce. It wasn't overly spice but went well with it. The sushi rice went well with this dish, the sushi rice has vinegar seasoning and is nice and sticky rice. I finished with the panacota for dessert with strawberries. It was also very good. I was full but the serving size was perfect for me. Highly recommended! read more

I used to always want to try his restaurants because of watching Iron Chef and I think my expectations were pretty high, But I have to day that it even surpassed my high expectations! Let's just say I was giddy and clapping my hands like a schoolgirl as we dined on all this yumminess! We had a large group and we weren't sure what to order and how much of it, so we decided to ask the waiter to help us with the selection. He asked us what budget we wanted to work with and he said he could make sure we all have a great time with that budget. We had the Rock Shrimp Tempura which was to die for! I could just eat that all day long. We also had the pork sticky ribs which was so good I had to clap my hands in glee while I savored every morsel. We had the Morimoto pork chop which you definitely have to get. It was so soft and delicious, you can't go wrong with that. We also had some sushi as well. I definitely have to recommend the Tiger Roll out of everything we had. That was a superb roll and every flavor in that roll worked together in perfect harmony. We also had the Ishi Yaki Chashu bop. It's Morimoto's take on the Korean Bi-Bim-Bop and it was really good! I have to say everything we had there was just out of this world. I now understand why he's an Iron Chef. Just make sure you make reservations early because reservations are hard to come by here. We made our reservations 2 months in advance (but we had a party of 12) so definitely had to get our reservation in early. I'm definitely coming back here every chance I get. read more

I went here for a work dinner during a conference and it was exceptional. Every single thing they brought to the table was fantastic. I wasn't really in a place to take photos but the food was also beautiful. The best thing we had was the cheesecake at the end. It was incredibly light and fluffy. I want cheesecake just thinking about it. I don't know about the normal service or wait time because we had reserved tables and were seated immediately but the service was good. Lastly, I guess like a lot of places on the strip it was one of those places that you had to yell to hear anything and I definitely lost my voice in here. I was so excited to try this place after growing up watching Chef Morimoto, but sadly was not too impressed. We arrived on time for our reservation so we were offered to wait at the bar. My partner ordered a bourbon neat, and I debated between two cocktails and let the bartender know, but he didn't even make a suggestion or offer his opinion. I ended up picking the signature cocktail and it ended up being really good. When we got to the table, the server seemed so rushed and didn't offer any specials or anything. I asked about a pre-fixed menu I saw in the front of the restaurant to which he replied "oh that? A lot of people asked about that, but I'm not sure we're doing that i would have to ask the chef." That already gave me red flags. Unfortunately his service continued to be sub-par the entire night. For a place charging $50 per sushi roll, I would expect better service. We ordered the toro tartare, sticky ribs, California roll, filet mignon, and the whole fish. I was not impressed by any of these dishes. Although aesthetically pleasing, the flavors were not there. I would find better food for a third of the price on Spring Mountain. This is definitely a place for tourists and those who are fans of the Chef. read more

My wife and I had a 9:30 pm Jabawookeeze show to catch so we made reservations to eat here as recommended by a close friend and also proximity and walking convenience to the nearby show. The beautiful hostess showed us to our table and we were greeted by the sushi chefs on arrival. Quite welcoming atmosphere. I like how the restaurant is not dark and auspicious like how some of the other places in the strip where we ate at. Our food was delicious and our waiter, Norberto, made the best recommendations to help make our evening enjoyable. I was intrigued by the Hamachi Tacos for our appetizer and they did not disappoint. Spicy mayo sauce on a crunchy taco shell is a yummy starter. Try it. We went with Norberto's recommendation of Chefs Choice Sushi (small size). My wife and I were extremely impressed with the presentation of the sushi and how very beautiful the arrangement was created. It was served quite nicely. As for the sushi, I never had mackerel sushi before but was delicious. Mackerel for me is not a common item I can usually find at our local sushi restaurant and I think this was made possible only of it was a fresh shipment which I believe it is brought in on a daily basis. Nonetheless quite delicious. What an experience indeed for my wife and I. Other cuts of sushi were all fresh and the texture in every bite proves this. Duck Fried Rice was our main course along with the Chilean Sea Bass (yummy sauce and super fresh). Spot on the mark excellent choices. To finish the evening we tried the Fiery Chocolate Bomb Tart. I told my wife we had to get it because the presentation is quite fun to see. Alcohol is poured on a chocolate ball and blue flame melts rises up not too high and the chocolate bomb is melted as part of the show leaving a yummy treat to taste with your loved one. We had coffee on the side which is a good compliment for this desert. Hats off to Norberto for serving us and his knowledge of the menu translated into the wonderful recommendations he presented to us which ended in a very delicious and delightful evening and meal. The young man who was constantly filling our water glasses did great as well. The guy in the table next to us was being a jerk to Norberto and was complaining about his drinks and boasting how he knew the manager. Whatever. As for us, we showed Norberto nothing but admiration and respect and thanked him for everything he did for us. It's not an easy job serving people and you have to show some restraint but deep inside you want to strangle those type of disrespectful patrons. Nonetheless we're more mature in that sense while some people really haven't evolved to that stage yet and probably will never be but that incident in no way had any affect on our evening.
