Arrived at noon and door was still locked (they open at 11 am) had to call restaurant to have them unlock the door. Ordered a beer and was informed bartender was more than an hour late to work and waitress had to call the manager. We order wings and the ribs. Wings were ok. The ribs were so tough I literally couldn't separate them with a steak knife and couldn't t get the meat off the bone. We left at this point and management took the ribs off the bill. I really come here for the homemade daily soup special to eat but on Mondays they have a great five dollar burger special, always cooked perfectly! I saw a band last night in Waltham . I know the guys in band . He told me that the owner didn't pay them and said take it out with drinks . So the bar tab came to 300.00 , which is below what they paid, and the bartender I can't do that . He called and was swearing and said he never they drink for their time . Drinks were slow and when it was time to pack our food, she disappeared. We finally asked the host to help and he told us she was having issues with the manager. He brought boxes and when she finally appeared with the check, it wasn't itemized and she said she vanished b/c was "busy doing paperwork in the back." It was also quite warm in the restaurant, which made it uncomfortable. There aren't a lot of options for casual dining in Natick center, but this one isn't likely to make the cut anymore. I had to ask her to nike it...asked for lemon ,she never remembered. The lunch took 40 min to serve. No water for me and my guest who ordered a coffee. Recently had a bad experience here. Ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Surprise, they have raised their prices 33% from the last time I was there. When I went to pick it up, I got a snippy lecture from the woman working in the front about this not being normally on the menu. But then I was assured it was my lucky day low and behold and I was going to be the lucky owner of a chicken salad sandwich because it happened to be their special of the day. But then a dark cloud appeared above the dark fortress that is the Tavern de Morse and the two women working there warned me not to expect chicken salad sandwich to be on the menu again. Oh no! Right on Route 135 in Natick (near Union Street), open for both lunch and dinner every (11am-midnight everyday). According to their menu, they have a sister restaurant in Marlborough as well... I'll have to go there sometime. Food was delicious. Menu has plenty of options for independently owned place. Traditional American menu entirely. Plenty of specials for many days of the week as well. Prices are reasonable and service is fast, efficient and accurate. Everyone was friendly, decor inside was nice (appeared just like a tavern!). Overall great experience. I came here with my family for a late lunch. It is a cozy tavern and restaurant, frequented mainly by locals. We were greeted warmly by the server working and we ordered our food and drinks. The food is basic pub food, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, etc. Several of us got burgers and fries, some got pizza and the food checked the box pretty well. It was good and what got what we ordered. We were not blown away, but were not let down either. My Dad and I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. Not only was the manager incredibly rude and unprofessional, but she also refused to allow me to bring in outside food despite my medical condition. As someone with celiac disease, I have been advised by my doctors not to eat in restaurants due to the risk of cross-contamination. However, when I attempted to explain my situation to the manager, she was completely dismissive and refused to accommodate me in any way. Until now I've never been to a restaurant who's been anything but welcome to the idea of bringing in food. I simply carry in a plain turkey sandwich made myself, Boar's Head turkey on Schär gluten free bread, 100% gluten free. Normally I ask if they mind, I eat my own food, elsewhere the answer is always, absolutely. Not at Morse Tavern, here it was a big problem, one she could offer no solution. I asked the manager to call the owner, requesting if it would be at all possible to allow my normal routine. She called and after a minute came back denying my accommodation request. She said the strict policy was due to Natick having an no outside food law from the local board of health. Wondering if this was true, I called the Natick health department. They said no such town bylaw exists. She also used the excuse "it could be contaminated". Next, I asked about gluten free options on the menu. She suggested their salad with salmon. I asked, "how is it cooked, in a pan or open grill?" She replied with an attitude "I don't understand why have to be so mean to me" and stormed off to the kitchen. Clearly her response indicated a complete lack of understanding of the situation. I always ask questions to gauge my confidence in their ability to produce a safe meal. As the grill is contaminated and off limits to celiacs. Every bite I eat must be strictly monitored, no exceptions. As eating even a gram of gluten would result in permanent damage to my digestive system and take up to a month to heal. Why should I take this risk? If she can't effectively understand my needs and communicate how can this manager communicate my needs to the kitchen. At that point we decided to leave after a two-minute unnecessarily stress filled visit. After a two-hour drive to get there, this completely ruined my day off from work. My Dad is also disabled and relies on a scooter, it takes ten minutes to get him and the scooter in or out of the car. We had to cancel our lunch with our friend as unfortunately Natick has very limited lunch options. Thus, all that work to get in the door wasted by the manager's lack of thought and inability to listen. We were shocked and disappointed since at any other restaurant they are accommodating. How dare this restaurant owner and manager dictate what I should eat without having a proper two-way conversation about the allergy precautions and cooking methods used. Especially given I had an ideal 100% safe gluten free lunch sitting in a cooler in the car. Living in a world filled with wheat is hard enough. Social events are stressful for people with celiac disease and made exponentially more difficult with uncooperative and inconsiderate management not willing to adapt. It is truly unacceptable for a restaurant to have such a callous attitude towards customers with medical needs. I would strongly advise anyone with dietary restrictions or medical conditions to steer clear of this establishment. The management is completely intolerant and unhelpful, and their disregard for customer health and safety is truly disturbing. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to eat. read more

We came here last year for Easter dinner and I must say last year was outstanding compared to this Easter. The food this Easter was awful.,There were 3 of us having Easter dinner and we all agreed that the food this year was sub par to last year.The omelots had no taste and were over cooked,same as the roast beef,The scrambled eggs were watery .the bacon was full of grease.and we never saw one person come out and replenish the buffet with fresh food. We held a family gathering for 30 people last night in one of the private function rooms. Everything from the food, service, and ambiance was superb, as well as being a super comfortable environment. We had a buffet of roasted chicken, potatoes, stuffed shells, salad, wings, and veggie tray. Also cookies and a self-serve soft drink, water and coffee area. The waitstaff took drink orders as well. It really was private with a large heavy sliding door between us and the bar but quick access to kitchen and serving team. Finally, it was a great value. We are already thinking about other occasions we can celebrate at the Morse Tavern. Honestly from my first call to them to the end of the night, the could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We are grateful! read more

The only real sports bar around Natick Center - came here for after work drinks with my coworkers. Upon entering the place, there was a huge stench of stale beer and grease. Had a white sangria, colleague got red sangria and beer. They were all pretty cheap for the area. We also shared some sticky bbq wings, it was a good portion for the amount we paid.
