Omg, they changed their name from Mi Café to Motiq, but the drinks are just as good as I remember :) I highly, highly recommend the double matcha latte and the matcha strawberry latte, which is still my personal favorite. The quality has remained consistent, and the drinks are just as delicious as ever. They've also updated the layout and overall vibe of the café. It feels much more chic and modern now, replacing the cozy sofas and couches they used to have. While I do miss some of the comfy seating, the refreshed aesthetic is cute and inviting in its own way. As always, service is quick and efficient. The only downside is that it's definitely more crowded these days now that the café has gone viral. Still, the drinks are worth the visit, and I'll continue coming back whenever I'm craving a good matcha fix.

I recently tried almost everything on the menu at Motiq Cafe and I can honestly say I was blown away by nearly every single item. It's rare to find a place where so many dishes are consistently delicious, but they absolutely delivered! The sandwiches were all fantastic..mainly because the bread was incredibly soft without being soggy and every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. The two standout dishes for me were the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Kimchi Pasta. As someone who is very picky about Alfredo, this was one of the best I've had in a long time!!!! So many restaurants make Alfredo that's either bland, overly cheesy, too heavy, or dry. They somehow found the perfect balance. It was creamy, flavorful, rich, and satisfying without feeling overwhelming. The Kimchi Pasta was another surprise favorite. It's one of those dishes that's hard to describe so you really just have to try it for yourself. The flavors were unique, addictive, and unlike anything I've had. If I had to pick a least favorite item, it would be the burger. The ingredients were clearly fresh and well-prepared, but compared to everything else on the menu, it felt a little bland and forgettable. There wasn't a signature sauce or unique element that made it stand out, so it ended up feeling pretty average. Drinks were all really good as well. Matcha was high quality, the mango matcha took me by surprise. I usually don't like mango drinks because it's sour and just doesn't match well with the matcha but this tasted like fresh Korean mangos and for sure had real mango at the bottom.

I love this cafe I'll definitely be back especially to try their other menu items! staff were friendly and drinks came out pretty quickly. chestnut hojicha latte (4.8/5): this is such a good combo u can taste both the chestnut and hojicha and they compliment each other so well. it wasn't too sweet and not too heavy either. the hojicha was strong and thankfully didn't taste burnt. mango matcha cream top (4.7/5): definitely one of the better mango matchas that i've had. they compliment each other without overpowering the other. the matcha was smooth. not too sweet or heavy as well. seating: plenty of seating inside and outside. they have two full floors for outdoor seating which is perfect for studying. they do have free wifi as well. parking: they do have valet garage parking lot which is free for the first 3 hours if i remember correctly. bathroom: two bathrooms and both were pretty clean.

I arrived around 5 pm on a weekday and was able to find free parking easily underground! There is a valet, so I'm not sure if there's a time limit. Vibes: there's plentiful of seats and some with outlets. It can get pretty crowded but I had no issues finding a bar seat. Drinks: 5/5 Hojicha latte: the cream top and the Hojicha blends perfectly, I like this more than the matcha Double matcha: the matcha and cream top here is sooo good. The hype is fr. This place has great drinks and is a good place to study!

DELICIOUS coffee, lots of space, parking and WiFi. What more could you possibly ask for in a k-town coffee shop. The staff was extremely friendly as well, I'll be back to try the food because that looked absolutely delicious. I'm still so surprised how much space there was in there. The menu looked delicious.

On Thursday, April 23rd, I had lunch with my mom at M Cafe. I had the chicken pasta, and my mom had the avocado toast. I've been here several times before, and every time the food has been so delicious. The staff here are also extremely friendly: I tried to open the restroom door using the code, but it didn't work, so I went to the front desk. A female staff member kindly came over and helped open it for me. The restroom was also very clean, which was good. After placing the order, they give you a buzzer that rings when your food is ready, and you pick it up at the counter. When both dishes were ready, my mom was sitting outside on the patio, and I couldn't carry both trays at once. When I said I would come back for the second one, a male staff member kindly brought the other dish outside for me. I really appreciated how kind and helpful they were. However, one downside is that this place is very popular, so the food took about 40 minutes to come out. It was a really long wait. Since I went during lunch, I had to rush through my meal and hurry back to the office once the food finally arrived. cf 1) My mom placed the order while I was in the restroom and didn't ask me, so we ended up getting chicken pasta. If I had ordered, I would have chosen shrimp pasta instead. cf 2) After my mom placed the order, the staff member told her that the food would take about 20 to 40 minutes and asked if that was okay. Since I was in the restroom, she couldn't check with me, so we ended up waiting the full 40 minutes. The female staff member also mentioned to my mom that if we're in a hurry, it's better not to come here during lunch hours because the wait can be quite long. OMG. So I think this is a place that's better to visit on the weekend when you have more time to relax and enjoy the meal. cf 3) One more thing: you can only view the menu on your phone by scanning a QR code. They used to have paper menus last year, but they no longer do, which was a bit disappointing.

Wow, wow, wow! Excellent drinks, excellent service. Came here for a quick pick-me-up and ordered a matcha cream top and misugaru cream top. Both were hand-crafted with care and looked so pretty...and the taste was as good as they looked! Matcha cream top was solid and had the right balance of sweet and strong matcha flavor. Misugaru was strong in coffee, but also nutty from the black sesame. Highly approve! As mentioned, service was super nice, even offering me a sturdy cup holder to bring the goods home. Cafe itself is located on the second floor of a mall-plaza and is fairly spacious with tons of natural lighting that's perfect for studying or catching up with friends. If I lived closer, I'd be at Mi Cafe every day!

The strawberry matcha was good but the strawberry puree wasn't sweet enough imo. The matcha is super creamy and the size is actually decent. The matcha cream top is good but slightly bitter. The strawberry salt bread was good but kinda just tasted like a buttered dinner roll so not sure if worth $6.50. Overall the vibes are nice and it's a solid matcha spot Update: the matcha was too strong and kept me up all night :(

My new favorite matcha and coffee spot!! This place is awesome. Parking in the street or lot and head up to the second fooor. The space is huge, perfect for catching up with friends or getting work done. I grabbed some salt bread and a scone. The matcha salt bread was 10/10. The matcha scone was 9/10. The double matcha was delicious but what I loved even more was the misugaru latte with cream top! Similar to a black sesame but not as peanut-y. I got it half sweetened and it was perfect! Kind workers, quick service. 10/10 recommend this place.

i visited M cafe recently, and appreciated the free valet parking, which is super rare in LA. there were multiple seating options inside, outside, and on the floor above. i didn't try any of the food, but there were many options if you are planning on staying at the cafe longer. the service was very quick, even on a busy saturday afternoon. we ordered the matcha cream top and regular matcha latte both with oatmilk. the flavor of the matcha was super strong, which i personally love, and it wasn't too sweet either. i will definitely be coming back to study here!

This place is so cute, I love it. I'm so happy that there's a cafe opened early and doesn't close at 3 PM, so I can study for long periods of time. There is a parking garage here, but it's only 90 min parking and it's relatively small. Mi Cafe is on the second floor and quite spacious overall. There's an outdoor section with plenty of seating, I came during the rainstorm and some tables can't be used, but there's other tables that are usable. The inside has quite a few tables as well. It's pretty spacious and comfortable. The music is a little louder inside, so I'd recommend bring a pair of headphones. I also love the variety of food selection. A lot of cafes I've been studying usually only has pastries and no savory foods. This place has both! I had the vanilla bean latte which is pretty good. Not super sweet. I also had butter salt bread. It's not the softest I've ever had, but the taste is on point.

Located on the second floor, with valet parking in the lot below (though spots are limited). There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but it fills up quickly, especially with students studying or working. They offer both food and drinks. I ordered the Unsweetened Matcha Cream Top ($7.25), and it was really good! Strong matcha flavor and the cream top was a standout. Staff were nice, and overall it was a solid experience. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

I found my favorite cafe in ktown and it checks so many boxes for me. First, free valet parking for 3 hours with a receipt in an underground, protected garage. Second, large tables for studying/doing work with reliable wifi. Spacious inside and outside and there are multiple floors of seating. Lastly, the drinks are extraordinary. The koi matcha comes with oat milk in the price and is sweet but not too sweet and the matcha is smooth and robust. Texture of the drink is not too thin. Literally how I love my matcha and how I like to make it for myself. The orange cream americano is also sooo good it reminds me of camel coffee but better price for the size and americano version. It's better than most orange coffees in ktown like Van Dyke and is so refreshing. I will definitely be a regular here!! I also love that they have full meal options like burger, pasta etc. Most cafes only have pastries and I end up starving. It also seems like a vibey place to hang out and catch up with friends because it's big enough to find a place with some privacy. So underrated but also don't want it to blow up TOO much so I can still find seating...

Tl;dr: Amazing food, great selection of drink choices, strong WiFi signal, and extremely friendly staff. Very safe and clean as well, highly recommend! I'm not one to go to cafes for drinks(more for the vibes or to study), but I actually like them here. The coco matcha drink was good, they have a sunrise americano(orange juice and coffee), and the vibes are immaculate. Music can be a little loud at times but I'm working anyways with my noise cancellation in, and i would come early if you want a good study/work spot. Parking is surprisingly plentiful. I come here pretty often and I recommend it a lot. Few cons: music is REALLY REALLY loud inside and outside. Also, after I had parked already, the parking security told me to park in the basement. When I went down, there were no open spots. Like don't tell me what to do I was perfectly fine parking the car myself. Pros: Lots of seating inside and outside. Drinks are really good and prices are really good relative to other ktown matchas. Parking is free but have to deal with parking security. Overall 4.5/5 read more

I sometimes come here to study because the atmosphere is clean and pleasant. They also serve food, which you can order from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The Wi-Fi generally works well, but it can be difficult to connect when the place gets crowded. One downside is that the music tends to be quite loud, which can be distracting for studying or having conversations. read more

Tough to beat this spot. 2nd floor vibes, expansive indoor/outdoor seating for large and small groups. You can be in the mix next to the music or chill in a corner. Nice comfortable seats. Inventive drinks and variety of pastries. Art-deco interior. They speak English and will accommodate you on your drinks. Bravo. Parking free in the lot. read more

This is probably one of the best cafes I've found in ktown to study so far! There's lots of seating both inside and outside and outlets as well. I love that they offer both drink and food options --great for hours of locking in. I went previously and the service was pretty slow for just 2 drinks, but this is my second time going and I can notice the improvement, though I would recommend for them to have the buzzers notify the customer for each item. My friend and I ordered both drinks and food, but after our drinks were ready, they took our buzzers, causing us to keep checking the counter to see if our food was ready. read more

Very sad I didn't get to experience their matcha. I arrived at this location at 7:40 PM, knowing they close at 8:00 PM. Unfortunately, they were no longer taking orders. If there is a cutoff time for last orders, that should be clearly disclosed in the store information. I made the drive specifically to come here and ended up having to go somewhere else. read more

Double check your order with them if you have any allergies or sensitivities. I ordered a strawberry matcha with oatmilk and they gave me a strawberry matcha with regular milk, which I didn't realize until about halfway and feeling funny. They have real food options but they aren't that great and are overpriced. On the plus side they have clean restrooms and decent seating and an okay amount of outlets. read more

This is a great studying spots for students. There were plenty of seats and outlets to use. Outdoors seating is also available when there aren't events being hosted. The staff were also very nice as well. I got this latte and it was a combo of sesame and coffee and something else I forgot the barista said. But it tasted amazing with a some sesame flavor and texture. Would not recommend if you don't like having the actual ground sesame seeds in your drinks. There is a small underground parking under the plaza. It was free so I didn't have to worry about finding street parking read more

M Cafe is my new favorite study spot! It was so peaceful, had plentiful indoor/outdoor seating, and great views from the 2nd story of M Plaza. I enjoyed the iced matcha latte! The only reason why it was a studyability rating of 9/10 instead of a 10/10 is because the noise level wouldn't allow you to take a work meeting. Overall, highly highly recommend! Great spacious cafe with good drinks, good food, friendly staff and lots of indoor & outdoor seating, and free parking!! Surface level and subterranean, plus overflow parking at the KFC across the street. Enter from Catalina. For drinks, matcha cream top and auburn latte are my favorites! But it usually gets packed, with people with laptops indoors and outside gets LOUD on Sundays. There is a group of people who have been scream-laughing and clapping for 3+ hours in the patio right now. If you're looking for a place to quietly relax, this isn't it, at least on weekends. But I also hope that people learn basic manners and know that it ain't ok to scream in public space... You can have a good time while being considerate for others... I had to take Tylenol afterwards and my ear drums still hurt. Anyhow, the coffee shop itself is great! read more

It's nice cafe in k town with good parking and very nice interior. I ordered milk tea and blossom coffee and they are over my expectation. However there is serious issue that I have to give 2 stars. This place is seriously understaffed. There was only one guy working and he was already overwhelmed. It took very long to get my drinks. Some people even left after waiting so long without getting their drinks. I like this place but they need to hire more people. read more

Outdoor patio and garage parking certainly stands out. Couple that with great cold and hot drinks with a simple variety of pastry/baked options and very friendly staff and it is a great place to get your caffeine fix and enjoy your day with friends or alone with a book or knock out work on a laptop. read more

Super Friendly and chill staff. Very calming environment. Love the outdoor and indoor seating area. Nice street view while taking a sip of your choice of brew. This cafe is very good. The coffee tastes good and the pastries are above average. There is a large outdoor patio with lots of comfortable chairs and couches. There are retractable awnings and potted plants to make the atmosphere pleasant. There is free parking downstairs and across the street and a security guard so it feels safe. The bathrooms are clean. Lots of people are working here so I guess the wifi is good. read more

We stopped for coffee at 5pm on a Saturday. No customers waiting at the counter so we walked up to order. The person behind the counter said they would not be taking coffee orders for 30 minutes because they had too many orders. We were just looking for a cup of coffee but we won't be coming back here. One of the best places to study and chill in Ktown. My favorite thing about this place is their their music isn't so loud. On top of that, there is free parking (technically for 90 minutes). Their drinks are pretty good and food is decent too. My favorite drink is the Lychee Rosemary Lemonade. read more

Pros: +Reliable wifi, delicious drink, varied drink selection, parking, restroom +I like the window seating and looking from 2nd floor :) Con: -Parking is tricky to figure out the first time, but just look for the signs. The wifi isn't that reliable here. The password listed inside was not working and when I let them know they just told me to connect to the ones outside. The ones outside were also not working. Spanish Latte was pretty good but after adding oat milk it ended up being an almost $9 drink. On the menu inside it's advertised as $6.90 but my receipt shows it as $7.90. With no wifi and loud construction work outside not sure if I'd return. read more

There isn't an exam season that this cafe doesn't see me and my friends. This place is one of my top 3 for studying or working. So many outlets, so many tables, free parking, free wifi and lots of natural lighting. The drinks however, are mostly subpar (hence the 4 stars) but an iced matcha tea or strawberry matcha will usually do the trick for me. They have this shrimp pesto sandwich/croissant that is so yummy. I order it every time it's in stock. For pastries/food, I'd say to come early since they do sell out! read more

Stopped by here after looking for a small coffee shop to eat at before traveling back home. There was a very kind woman working in the front who was very helpful and patient as it was our first time ordering. She had great recommendations for the drinks which we ended up loving! They have great milk alternatives and a nice variety of drinks and pastries available. The inside was very clean and organized and had a warm and comforting atmosphere. The outside for the cafe has a lovely open air deck decorated with vibrant plants and comfy seating to welcome all hungry patrons. I was pleasantly surprised by the space as it had a good amount of seating and while the outdoor space next door isn't officially theirs, people seem to use it as well so it opens up the space. This cafe has become my go-to spot for long study sessions, especially in the mornings. I usually arrive around 9 a.m., and there's always plenty of seating available, which makes it easy to settle in and focus. By late morning, around 11 or 12 it definitely starts to fill up quickly, and finding a seat near a charging station can be a bit harder. That said, I really appreciate that they offer a variety of charging stations inside. I do wish there were more outlets available outside, but the indoor setup works great for extended study time. The food and drinks are always fresh, delicious, and consistently high quality, and the prices are very affordable for what you get. Parking is another big plus, it's convenient and stress-free and the bathrooms are always clean and well maintained. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. wow what a hidden gem indeed! this place is in a huge medical plaza, it's on the second floor closest to the side of the kfc. there is a parking lot that is free! and the drinks are super goood,, i got the berry blossom without the espresso shot and it was super creamy and sweet! the workers are super nice and there are plenty of outlets and seats! definitely would recommend as the study spot! read more
