    Brussel Sprouts and pancetta pizza!
    Nadine F.

It makes me sad to see so many "meh" reviews of this place. This place was soooo good. First, they were super accommodating. The restaurant is small. I emailed them the night before asking if they could accommodate our party of 10. The next morning they confirmed and had it all ready for us that evening. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The pizza was not your traditional pizza. My younger two kids loved the cheese pizza. My oldest got the meatball pizza and really enjoyed it. The mushroom pizza was very good as well. But my favorite was the Brussel Sprouts pizza with pancetta! It was DELICIOUS! I loved the cozy feel of the place. It was perfect on a cold winter day to enjoy a meal with family/friends and a glass of wine. I will definitely be back - and will tell everyone I know!

This is a cute pizza place, semi casual and totally fits the vibe of a NYC sit down pizza spot. The pizza was excellent, fresh sauce and perfect crust. The sauce was well seasoned but not overpowering. The crush was the right amount of crispy. They had a lot of different pizza options and were more than willing to do customizations. Service: Service was slow as it seemed like there were only 1-2 people on the floor. It took them about 15 minutes to bring my drink and this place is small, has no more than 15 small tables. Price: Priced like a typical NYC sit down spot. Insta: @TheShahLALand

After a visit to Central Park, we stopped by this restaurant because of its convenient location nearby. The pizza was just okay. nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. On the other hand, the wings had a decent flavor and were a bit more enjoyable. The staff was neutral. They were not overly friendly, but not rude either. One of the standout aspects of this spot is the atmosphere. The seating, especially the outdoor dining area, is quite pleasant, making it a nice option if you're looking to relax outside after spending time in the park. Overall, it's an average experience, with the location and ambiance being the main highlights.

The positions here are so big which meant my friend and I could share a salad, pizza, and tiramisu. Pizza is their thing and it's always great. The salad was filling and delicious. Peroni is my favourite beer which they carry too. Yum! Will be back!

Decent oven fired pizza but the crust to sauce to cheese ratio needs improvement. The crust was delicious, crunchy but chewy, however that was the only good part.

More good pizza at Motorino! Tried the soppressata picante and pugliese. Watch out for the chilies on the pugliese though! We were seated rather quickly on a Friday night at an outdoor table. It was less crowded inside even though it was rather chilly out. Service was a little slow once we were seated. Our waiter eventually came and took our order and that was the only time we saw him. Lovely we really liked the pizza

My husband and I came here for a date night on Saturday and LOVED it. The service is wonderful and the ambiance is quaint and cute. It felt very intimate. We ordered the roasted artichoke and a pizza. Be warned the chiles in the Amatriciana pizza mean business! I love spicy things and those chilis brought tears to my eyes haha Will be coming back. I loved my experience and my food.

Motorino is honestly my favorite pizzeria. Their weekday lunch special $17.5 for any pie and house salad is amazing especially nowadays. The buy 2 get 1 free takeout deal is great if you don't mind not eating immediately. This place isn't perfect but I'm still happy with my experience there. Just went on Tuesday and grabbed the last table at 1pm. The house salad is so big for a lunch side. There's plenty of places that only give you half. Their purple onions are particularly sweet too. I'm usually against raw onions. Pies we ordered: don dom, meatball, cherrystone clams Overall the pies had a bit of burnt bottom while insides underdone. We think it's the oven not getting cleaned in time over the holidays and they're rushing to complete orders during lunch. Tolerable. This was the first time I tried the cherrystone clams. I think it's good to eat at the restaurant and less suitable for takeout. It's a bit fishy but I kind of like it. Squeezing fresh lemon brightens and sweetens up everything. It's very water when it comes out but it eventually soaks up a bit. Besides, it's juicy to me. I did notice they give clams diced up rather than whole. I don't mind it for the bite purpose but would be more impressed seeing it whole. Also I sat right next to the kitchen which made all my clothes smell like pizza afterwards. Not ideal but okay ish considering it went away after a few days. You also see all the wood they use for the oven.

I was disappointed especially after having a good experience at their other location. This location is tiny inside. It's like you're dining with strangers at your table. The pizza was disappointing with soggy crusts and toppings that could have covered more of the crust.

My pizza preference is a crispy crust. I need it, y'all. BUT. My friend's pizza preference happens to be a chewy crust. If you're like my friend, you will probably like Motorino. The buy 2 get a 3rd pizza free for delivery/takeout is kind of unbeatable, honestly. It was pretty much only the two of us eating, and we were full after 4 slices each, but these keep super well so you can reheat them and eat them again a different time. I really don't have much to say that was wrong about the flavors of the pizzas themselves-- they tasted fresh and like they were made with good ingredients. My favorite was probably the brussels sprouts pizza-- the brussels sprouts had a sweetness to them and the ham added the saltiness. My friend stands by the mushroom pizza. She gets it every single time. I personally thought that the mushrooms were good, but there's a weird saltiness that comes with certain bites. I never knew when to expect it so it was just like a salt jumpscare. As I was saying, though, I need a crispy crust. That bottom should be CRUNCHY. Biting into these slices was like chowing down on an entire mouthful of dough that was absolutely way too soft for my taste. I'm not sure how it was like this because the crust did show some areas of being burnt.... but it was just not crispy how I like my pizza. Chewy crust might be your preference, though! In which case, go crazy. The world is your oyster and in it you'll find Motorino.

Nice location in the upper west side...came here to take out pizza after the movies...glad they were still open. Thin crust pizza that is ready in about 10-15 minutes... had the margherita pizza. They only sell by the pie - small is 4 slices and good enough to share for 2 people. They don't sell pizza by the slice. Buy 2 pies and your 3rd is free. Have to try some of the other pies next time in the area. they have outdoor seating as well since the pandemic...but not the greatest place to sit during a downpour even with the covering..

Even if we wouldn't have gotten a window table and it wasn't Christmas, the vibes and interior of this place would have still been great. We went in December night of 2024 so some aspects of the menu have changed however, most of the dishes still appear to be on their menu as of now, June 2026. It appears most changes comes to the type of pasta used in a dish, aspects around a dishes main focus and gelato/dessert flavors. Everything we ordered was an 8 or above out of 10. The beet salad (BARBABIETOLE) is easily 10/10 and a top 3 salad we have ever had. The chocolate cake with gelato (TORTINO DI CIOCCOLATO) was 10/10 and the best dessert we had at Da Andrea. We ordered 3 total, including the ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Tuna Tartare, gorgonzola pasta and bolognese are 9's. The fritto misto, the other pasta we ordered and the other 2 desserts are 8's. If you're in New York make reservations and go. My Wife found this place and made reservations. Only thing I regret after looking at additional photos is not ordering the grilled pork chop.

We started with the housemade focaccia and Wagyu carpaccio--both were outstanding, with the perfect balance of crispy, flavorful, and fresh elements. My partner and I shared the pasta, hangar steak, and potatoes, which turned out to be the ideal amount for two. We finished with the famous olive oil cake, which we loved for its subtly sweet, moist and tender bite. Served with lightly whipped cream and raisins, the combination was surprisingly delicious. We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

L'Artusi has been on my radar for a while, ever since I heard it was a hot spot and saw reviews of…read moreit being one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

I read the reviews mostly good so I was hoping for the best. My friends and I were not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies. All the dishes ordered (chicken parm, mussels chicken paillard etc.) everyone enjoyed them immensely. The only negative was when the Chicken Paiikard arrived it was supposed to a shared dish by the elderly couple and they asked for regular dinner plates from one of the servers. It took the gentleman who took our order to step in and said sure, lucky their food was still hot. Common Sense is not so common for all. But this will not lower my rating as it was taken care of swiftly. The portions were the perfect size and I was not stuffed but pleasantly satified. We told them the time of our show, food was out quickly, nicely presented, still hot and very tasty. The restaurant was not noisy and had space between the tables. It also had an elevator for those who could not manage stairs. Trattoria Trecolori you will be added to my must go again list! Thank for a wonderful experience!
