I recently went to Moxie's Plano for the second time. The prices are through the roof. Martinis $18, beers $7 and up. The service was very mediocre. We waited for quite awhile before anyone even brought us water. I felt as if life is a struggle for them lately, although the food was good. The steak bites were excellent, best thing there imo. Very few people in there. There are so many good places with better prices and excellent food, I'll pass Moxie's next time. read more

I'm going to give it three stars because I felt the service was very good and we enjoyed the atmosphere watching the Cowboys game. However we will not go back because the food is very overpriced. We ordered the $25 (!) nachos and I could have made them at home for $2. The top layer of chips had probably a 1/4 of beef and 1/4 cup of cheese and everything underneath was just chips. Let me start by saying that this was a major disappointment. We decide to go to happy hour after work this past Friday. We started early! We were there by 4pm. Meaning the place was kind of empty still. It's located in a cool new area technically Plano but borderline Frisco. You walk in and you see all the nice/contemporary decoration. Colors of green call your attention and the unique lamps and lighting. I wanted to like this place so much. I thought next date night drinks will be here. We got a table of eight but we started with only 6. The service was awful! The girls didn't write anything and yet messed up everything! Ugh. The manager came to apologize but it was too late. Went here for an early dinner with a friend one weekend. Has a good ambiance to it but we were sat in the back corner while it was dead, took a bit for our server to finally stop by. I got the Loaded Burger $17.00 cooked medium. The burger was pretty good flavor wise and was very juicy but the bun could not hold up to the amount of toppings. The bun got super soggy and was quite messy since toppings were sliding out but still good overall. The fries it came with were awful, they were limp and not crunchy at all. Came here to meet up with some friends for Happy Hour and it did not disappoint. I thought the food was fresh and delicious. I was glad to have the chance to try their food for Happy Hour prices and they are a higher price point than your average Bar and Grill. I requested them to toss them in wing sauce, but the come dry with three delicious BBQ style sauces. Worth a try! I took off a star because we had a big party (12) and despite their being extra staff standing around our server had multiple tables with little help from other staff and it caused our service to be slower than desired. If it's not very busy and drinks are sitting at the bar to be taken out, the other staff that was standing around talking could have helped her out. Came for a date night with my husband and this place was perfect. It was super cute inside and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. The reason this place is not 5 stars as two entrees that I wanted were not available. They were out of steak frites and steak salad were beef so I went with the filet instead and added chimichurri. I will say, although not my first option... the glaze/sauce at the bottom of my plate was delicious! At first I was thinking "why is my steak swimming... that's a bit much" but once I tried it, I couldn't get enough! I dipped everything on my plate in that sauce. It was SO GOOD! I had the pleasure of visiting Moxie's late one night during a convention I was attending in the area. A group of friends and I decided to stop in after a long day, grab some drinks and eats and have a good time. Late nights here are HYPE AF! Lol - there was a DJ spinning some serious Hip Hop music and the vibe in the place was very fun, very adult. They have interesting seating, some booths, tables and then a long high top table. The menu choices are the standard bar fair - nothing particularly special, just what you need to soak up your drinks, which they kept coming and those were made right too. WINNER! read more

Although my first two visits were great, I had to deduct several stars for my latest visit. On my last visit, the server started out being very responsive but later became inattentive. Additionally, we order a carafe of the Cava mimosa. In the time it would've taken to bring the mimosa over, we were informed they were out of the Cava. We then asked if they would honor the price of the Cava but they responded stating they would not after yet another long amount of time. We asked to speak to the manager who offered to look for the bottle of Cava. She returned after yet another LONG while with ONE, yes ONE, Mimosa on the house. Completely missed the principle of the matter. The cost of one mimosa is basically the difference between the Cava carafe and the next level up not to mention that they table obviously wanted to order mimosas. I'm very much disappointed by this latest experience. The staff here seems to lack common sense. Adding on to my previous review, I spoke to the general manager who offered to "take care of me" if I returned. I also learned that the staff lied about my visit. I reluctantly agreed to come back under a reservation that was placed on my behalf by the GM. When I arrived, the staff did not seem to acknowledge the reservation and did not appear to make any special accommodations for my return visit. I ordered the bacon and cheddar omelet and mimosa with pomegranate juice. Service was better but just ordinary. When the check came, there was no compensation to acknowledge and make up for my previous poor visit. After I brought this to the manager's attention and explained that my visit served as redemption for the restaurant, not a reward, they graciously waved the check. I appreciate this, but it was at the cost of inconvenience. The management staff here needs serious training on matters of common sense and customer service. Had a better experience on 3/9/19. Came here with sorority sisters. I had the blackened chicken burger- okay, Bloody Mary- needed hot Sauce and Paloma- just perfect. read more
