Was working overnight and my co-worker and I ordered from here for some late-night eats. We ordered the following: MR. Bar Fried Rice with shrimp, steamed pork soup dumplings and create your own rice bowl. Her rice bowl had the following : jasmine rice, 48-hour braised Galbi beef, and garlic cucumber salad. The total was $40.00 with the added fees. Upon arrival, everything was sealed tight and there was no spillage. They included forks and knives, but no condiments. The soup dumplings were fairly decent, but the flavors weren't distinct. Now, my fried rice took me off guard, it was better than I expected for a late-night meal. The only thing I would have changed is no egg. My co-worker said she thoroughly enjoyed her rice bowl. Some direct quotes are, Cucumber salad was "particularly good" and the meat was "tender and flavorful. " In all, I would recommend Mr. Bao's for a late-night meal. I am curious about the rest of the menu! (This 3.5 / 5 rating )

I came here for a snack with a friend. We shared a few things. Everything was delicious. Then I ordered a bunch of things for my other friends and I to try, who I was going to meet afterwards. We tried the Blue Crab & Pork soup dumplings, Boiled Beef & Onion Dumpling, Fried Buns (Mantou), Bao, Steamed Shumai, Boiled Chicken & Cabbage Dumplings, Pan Fried Shrimp& Park (with Squid Ink). Everything was really delicious and was fun to share. Would deffintely come to this location and order from them again. Great service, and fresh food.

Loveeee it here! It was a last minute stop and the food was amazing! The service is also very nice and prices aren't too bad!

Food: was craving dumplings and stumbled upon this place and went a little crazy ordering items that looked yummy (didn't help that I was also pretty hungry at the time I was ordering)! Ordered 2 short rib gua bao, chefs mix, garlic cucumber salad, steamed pork soup dumpling, and braised short rib wrap. My favorite was the soup dumpling and garlic cucumber salad! My least favorite was the wrap, I felt that it was pretty "small" in size from what I'm usually used to! Cost: cost want too bad, in total everything was roughly less than $50! This amount of food feed two people comfortably. Environment: can't say too much about the inside of the restaurant because I ordered this to go! But maybe next time I will decide to enjoy their food inside. Service: it took about 30-45 minutes for the order to be ready. Uniqueness: love the colorful different buns that came in the chefs mix!

Food: dumplings, Asian Service: all the servers were super nice and helpful Ambiance: small inside, perfect for takeout The noodles I got were awesome and the dumplings are spot on. I'll have to try more of the menu since this is definitely a pit stop to most of my destinations in Brooklyn

Tuesday 12/22, 8PM was in the area to get Thai food (at Mee Thai for outdoor dining); found out they don't have seating and it's only take out. So... Plan B- Hubby & I saw across the street, Mr. Bao had outdoor dining. We yelped it quickly to see what was good and went inside to order (door is heavy and need more force to open). Soup Dumpling in Park Slope area?- got to try that! -We ordered- Popcorn Chicken Pork soup dumpling 48hr braised galbi beef rice bowl with garlic cucumber salad & water bottle Aged soy braised pork belly rice bowl with stir fried string beans & water bottle They gave us a small beeper and we sat outside waiting. Everything was in boxes on a wooden tray. I asked for hot sauce (they have chili oil) for the soup dumplings. I wish there was sauce for the popcorn chicken (I was expecting some sort of aioli sauce, or sweet chili sauce, or even spicy mayo would be delish) but it is good on its own as well. The soup dumpling was very sesamely but juicy. The beef rice bowl was drier than expected- I suggest more sauce while the pork belly was very soft, melty in your mouth and delicious. I recommend the pork belly instead of the gabli beef.

I was in the area and was deciding on something to eat for lunch before I stumbled on this restaurant. I was craving some popcorn chicken and decided to also get a spicy sesame dandan noodles to compliment it. I'm glad I did because I really enjoyed the noodles. I've made something similar at home and wanted to see what this dish should actually taste like, and it was delicious! It was very saucy, with the sesame sauce at the bottom and the meat/chili oil at the top of the bowl - mix well before eating! It was very fragrant and had a good amount of spice, not too much to the point where it's painful. The popcorn chicken, however, was mediocre. I was hoping for some big, juicy pieces, but found that they were small pieces and were a little too salty and dry for my taste. It came with a dipping sauce and it helped, but it just tasted like mayo. If I'm ever in the area again, I would love to try their dumplings!

    Stir-Fried String Beans

I ordered through Uber eats from here since they offer a "spend $20, save $10" deal. The food was absolutely delicious and will probably be my go-to spot for a while. The vegetable dumplings had a really flavorful filling and were perfectly crisp at the bottom. The spring rolls were decent but I'd probably pass on those next time. The string beans were soo good and sautéed with garlic which gave them the perfect flavor. And of course, the rice was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend trying this spot for a quick meal.

Various dumplings, popcorn shrimp, and veggie sides.
