My friends and I went here in late May 2016. When we heard about a place that specialized in the comfort food macaroni and cheese when we were in town we just had to go there. We were not disappointed we placed our orders I have the jalapeño mac & cheese and my friends have the regular mac & cheese and within a short time our food was ready piping hot and served in a small skillet. We all chose the "small" size because we heard that the sizes here run a little bit on the large side, and they were right; the "small" was more than enough for one person. I didn't notice much more on the menu besides the macaroni and cheese different varieties and that is why I gave it four stars. Good eats. We will be back! read more

I never thought there could be a place like Mr. Mac's, to me, logically I'd never thought a place could sell just mac and cheese and be able to stay open, but I decided to give it a try, after all, how fun of an idea is that? I was amazed at just how good this stuff was, seriously they've made mac and cheese an artform! I went there with my mother, who loves to try new places to eat with me, and we were both just blown away by how truly GOOD this stuff was, sure you had to wait a little while, but, everything is made fresh to order right there on the spot, we found it best to get afew small skillets and mix and match, which truly gets you your money's worth as well as maximum flavor experience. The pulled pork and the chicken cordon bleu are must tries, seriously they're just incredible, as are many others. I honestly hope the rumors of a soon to be opened second location are true, I would love one abit closer to home read more

Super duper awesome. This is definitely a mac 'n' cheese lover's heaven. With so many different varieties to choose from (not to mention you can "build your own" dish) I had a tough time deciding. I finally went for the Lobstah Mac, and my husband opted for the Cajun Mac. Seating is open, and one of the staff brings your order to your table. Food came out in about 5 minutes. Both were excellent - mine was chock full of lobster meat and gooey, melty cheese, and my husband's (also super cheesy) had a nice spicy heat to it. You can tell the cheese is a higher quality. Yum yum. Choosing size can be tricky. I should have listened to the other reviewers who said the Small is plenty. It is! They have example pans behind the counter that illustrate the diameter, but appear to be very shallow (this is where we were misled). So we went with the Medium. The actual pans are deeper, meaning much more macaroni goodness than expected. We could only eat half, but the plus side is we got to enjoy our meals again as leftovers (never a bad thing!). Something I thought was pretty cool and forward-thinking was that they had the styrofoam containers right out on a counter, along with napkins, plastic forks, basically everything you need to take home your leftovers. They also offer take-and-bake meals to cook at home. Only downside is the meals are skewed on the expensive side. Granted, the Lobstah Mac is one of the most expensive items on the menu, but for 2 Mediums and 2 Drinks we spent nearly $40 for lunch. Still, for a pasta lover like myself, it's a perfect indulgence every now and then. read more

Ordered take out with 7 other colleagues to be delivered at work. I ordered the lobster mac & cheese (medium) around noon. The wait time was 45 minutes which is impressive for all orders to be completed. It was delicious with substantial chunks of lobster claw in it (1/5 lobster, the rest mac & cheese). It was still hot when it arrived. and very filling. Definitely enough for at least 3/4 people with a price tag of 28$. 5$ delivery charge over all not including the tip. I might still be in a food coma from my 12:30 lunch, and it's now almost dinner time. I ordered a medium size, which was probably just a little too ridiculous to eat on one's own. But I did anyway, because it was delicious. I would suggest splitting a medium with someone, or ordering a small for one. There's also a giant family size. I got the carbonara with parmesan-reggiana, pecorino and provolone cheese, as well as diced prosciutto. It was creamy, flavorful and everything else this quintessential comfort food should be. It's not the best mac and cheese I've ever had (the Front Room in Portland, ME, if you're curious), but it's definitely good. I brought back the classic (with cheddar) and the Mediterranean (with goat cheese, mozzarella, olives, artichoke hearts and sundried tomatoes) for some curious coworkers, and all agreed they were awesome. The dishes came out pretty quickly, about 10 minutes. They're not baked for a long time, but they are popped in an oven since the tops were nicely browned. If you eat in (there's a small-ish dining area with six tables or so plus a few tall tables along the window), the pasta comes in cute cast iron skillets with an oven mit on the handle and a wooden board beneath it. To go orders come in disposable dishes stored in a pizza-style box to keep it warm. Next time I go I'm going to make my own creation - there are a number of cheeses and ingredients to choose from. The best/worst news I got is that they deliver. Great for satisfying cravings, bad for healthy eating aspirations. read more

Served sizzling in cast-iron pans, they were fragrant and scrumptious, with just the right sauciness, stretchiness, and crunch. None of us thought we'd finish, but all three did. The hired hands were friendly, helpful, and patient with first-timers, leaving a very positive impression. Prices seemed a tad high (it's a $10 fast-food meal), the meat amounts are minimal (but appropriate to the dish), and the floor could have used a good wash. Obviously, they have a limited menu. But who doesn't like mac & cheese? It's a pet peeve of mine that most restaurants try to do too many things, and their quality suffers for it. Not here. As mac & cheese specialists, they are the experts, and their food is uniformly excellent. I could only approach their level of tastiness by doing the Martha Stewart recipe that takes 90 minutes and messes up half the pots in my kitchen. While I was waiting at the UPS Store next door (right before Christmas; they usually have no wait), I was able to easily order a plain and a pulled-pork on my phone (intuitive, first time I used it), which was ready in ~15 minutes just as we were done shipping. read more

What a wonderful restaurant! The place is clean and cozy, with an easygoing atmosphere and very friendly service. The food though: Wow! There is such a huge selection, with something for everyone and for whatever mood you're in, and whatever dietary preferences you have, (or, at least that's what it seemed to us). The skillets filled with all kinds of personally-designed orders are delivered to your table piping hot. Staff members amiably visit diners to make sure everything is up to par. The portions are very generous and very delicious. On a cloudy, cool autumn day, this was the perfect choice, but we've been there other days, too, and it was the perfect choice then as well. I've been here a couple times and while it's just "mac and cheese", they have plenty of options and some nice combinations. We recently did the "buy it prepared but uncooked" and brought it home to heat and eat and it was delicious. They have portion sizes from small (1 person) up to party trays which feed 8-12.
