The what should have been around a 13.00 bill. I got 4 Veggie item Plate and a large sweet tea.
    Angie T.

I'm hoping the Managing Owner sees this. I came into your business to purchase food. Your menu clearly states a 4 item Veggie Plate is 10.00 and change. I was charged 16.00 when I questioned your cashier stated you're prices went up due to you not changing your menus after years in business. It is NOT the customer's issue this is a management issue. Please also note this is against the law. In Georgia, it is illegal for retailers to charge customers more than the advertised price. This is covered under Georgia's Fair Business Practices Act, which prohibits unfair and deceptive acts or practices in consumer transactions. Specifically, it's a misdemeanor to charge a price higher than what's displayed or advertised. Get it taken care of Sir/Madam.

Fried catfish, rice, french fries and hush puppies

Let's get to the bad first. Y'all should be ashamed of yourself serving that rice. That rice was bold and then put on the plate. No added seasoning....... at all. The fries were okay. A little pepper in the dash of salt brought it to life. Now I will say the catfish was really really good. I love catfish, and I wish I had some to take home. I was passing through. The hush puppies were also good as well. The cornbread onion flavor kind of topped it off.

Hush puppies beef rib sandwich and chicken and NO a sausage gumbo
    Angela H.

Today was my first order from Mr. Pigs and this will be my last time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered the beef rib sandwich and the rib meat was burned and dry, it was inedible. The chicken and sausage gumbo contained NO sausage and was one of the worst things I have tasted in a while, someone forgot the salt. The hush puppies were also burned. The potato salad was barely average. Save your money or at least don't order what I did

ate so much of the Half Slab Ribs

i love you. the flavor and tenderness was perfect. i also got cornbread which made me want to live again. i love big back pig back Mr pigs smokehouse

Oh man, when I tell you had a craving for some good ribs and decided to try this place. I got the tips and OMG, when I got home and dug into my plate all I could say was mmmmmmmmmmmmm, they were SO flavorful and tender. I also got double greens and cornbread Maaaaaaaan I Cook and I am 1st to criticize my plate but, not this time!!! I'm addicted. Cornbread soo soft and sweet ( not jiffy) greens wow nailed it.

    Cornbread-slices of heaven

This is some of the best barbecue I've had, and I have had a LOT. Mr. Pig's Smokehouse serves incredibly delicious, smokey meats and authentic tasty sides. Pokey, the owner and pit master, is a magician smoking meats. Ribs, pork, and brisket are flavorful before they're even sauced, and once they arrive, the tender smoked meats disappear fast. Your stomach says, "Keep shoveling, I love this stuff!" And the service is excellent--attentive, responsive, but not hovering, with lots of smiles. It was a perfect experience. Make tracks to Mr. Pig's and pig-out. You'll be ecstatic.

BBQ Turkey Ribs, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, Texas Toast and Sweet Potato Pie
    Treasure F.

**** Disclaimer: I ordered my food through UberEATS and finally got to eat it 1 day after. **** I must say the food was really good. The turkey ribs was on point, though felt like they were holding back on the bbq sauce on my ribs and cheese on my mac & cheese. My green beans were good as well as the sweet potato pie, like it was actually homemade not store bought. I would definitely have them again. Next time I hope they'll have collard greens which they were sold out of.

    Again, my "pork plate"

Never had not one issue with this place as far as quality goes. On one occasion my Uber eats order was missing a side of Mac and cheese which just straight up broke my heart because it's the closest to homemade you can get from a restaurant in the city. Cakes are delicious, on the fence about if they're homemade or ordered.... But I'm leaning towards homemade. Once Manager was rude as hell on the phone, couldn't add coleslaw to an order I made, but didn't have a problem taking an extra $4 for a previous order of baby backs I placed which they turned out to be out of, so they gave me regular ribs.... kept the money... but you know whatever. I order from there at least 3x a week, my request wasn't outlandish, manager was just a jerk. Gave these MFs one last chance I get slapped in the face. Rib plate side of Mac and what do I get? Slaw SWIMMING aim baked beans and NO MAC

Brisket with a side of hair.
    Bri T.

It's a NO for me! Went today for a brisket sandwich meal with baked beans and potato salad (second meal, same order with cole slaw). Here's what happened... The establishment: this is your typical hole in the wall restaurant. Plenty of parking but nothing major on the inside. No big deal. Those are usually some of the best food places right? Wrong. The staff was nice and mentioned no ribs for the day. No problem, I went for brisket. Moving right along... The food: I literally took three bites of everything. The baked beans were lackluster (no flavor at all) and they were clumped together. Probably from sitting there all day without being stirred. The cole slaw didn't have much flavor either. The potato salad was just okay but nothing to write home about according to Mom. The brisket seemed baked, with liquid smoke and you guessed it, no flavor. I also had hair in my brisket. No hairnets? I asked for a brisket sandwich and received pieces of brisket with two slices of buttered bread. A brisket sandwich usually comes between two slices of bread or a bun with shredded or sliced beef for the record. This was clumps of beef with bread on the side. Just threw away $32 for two dinners, got a slice of pizza from a place far away from this joint and called it a day. Needless to say - I won't be back. You can't really find good barbeque in Atlanta. This is coming from a Kansas City native so as a rule of thumb, if you can't smell the smoke before you get to the building - it's not worth it. Yes, I knew this prior to trying this place but figured I'd try it anyway. Next time I'll save my money and avoid all barbeque in Atlanta. If you want good soul food, this is the city. Good BBQ in the South? Better luck in Memphis or Dallas. As always, go to Kansas City for the best BBQ of your life.

Personally I like my tomato soups extra thick and creamy, which isn't how I would describe this one. However if that's not your style, this may be for you. I got it with a multi grain roll and chocolate chip cookie and when the roll was dipped in the soup, it was exceptional. And the cookie tasted nice and fresh. From the moment I called in, his customer service was top tier. Professional, warm, and intentional. He made sure my order was right, sent a quick payment link so things moved efficiently, and had everything ready by the time I arrived. That's how you run a business. When I pulled up, he greeted me with a smile, brought my food out, and confidently told me I was going to enjoy it and he was absolutely right. I originally planned to grab my food and go, but his energy made me slow down, sit, pray, and actually enjoy the moment. I asked for a lime Jarritos, and he recommended pineapple instead to pair with the jerk seasoned wild caught salmon sandwich. That recommendation was on point and really elevated the whole experience. That sandwich hits. Every bite pops with flavor across your entire palate. The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy but not soggy. The kale had the right crunch. The onions tied everything together. And that homemade garlic butter on the salmon took it to another level. It's a creative spin on a traditional cheesesteak. I'm sure the beef options are great too, but if you want seafood, this is the move. I've had a Philly cheesesteak in Philly before, and honestly, I don't need to go back. When I'm in Atlanta, I'm coming here. Sammy, thank you for the hospitality and the intentionality behind what you do. You didn't just serve food, you created an experience. Thank you for praying with me. I will definitely be back.
