This review is for their tuna sandwich since that's all I've tried here. I'm sure their other sandwiches are great but the tuna was just okay. It was bland. I'll give them another try soon.

I was pretty hungry and was interested to try this spot after passing it a few times. Upon entering we were welcomed and gave a quick rundown of the menu. We decided to order two of"the monsters" with all the condiments and chips. The monster is a sandwich that has avocado, roast beef, turkey, ham and Swiss cheese. We ordered one on sour dough and one on French bread - unfortunately both came out on sour dough. The sandwich was ok but the ingredients didn't scream quality and the bread was generic bread. The meat was sparse for a $16 sandwich. It's a little of a disappointment since I feel like you go to a sandwich shop especially for them having quality bread whereas I feel like I could make this sandwich at home.

Once again a great experience. Didn't want to eat what I brought to work for lunch and was like "Where can I go and get something and not feel bleh the rest of the day after eating it? Oh yeah! Duh!" Got a turkey sandwich (full) a bag of chips and a drink, all for $15 which isn't that bad these days. Especially when the food is quality. The cashier was super nice and I appreciated her help cause I was all over the place trying to figure out which sandwich to get.

I don't understand the reviews but maybe I'm expecting something different?! This is an absolutely no frills, nothing special sandwich shop. Nothing tastes bad... but if you're looking for a delicious sandwich, any type of special topping or creativity, this is not the spot. I got a blt on sour dough and that is pretty much what I got... two pieces of UNTOASTED sour dough (doesn't taste like sour dough tho...), lettuce, tomato, bacon. No sauce of any kind (ie mayo, etc). And it cost me $9!!! I honestly feel like I could've made this at home and it would've looked and tasted better. Not coming again....

Ordered a breakfast plate and a brownie from uber eats. Everything on the plate was ice cold, the eggs had eggshells in them which was impressive since they tasted frozen, and the toast was stale :(

I was excited to give Mr Sandwich a try based on the rave reviews, and while I may have come in with too high of expectations, I still really did enjoy my sandwich and especially appreciated the friendly service. Mr Sandwich has a variety of hot and cold sandwiches so I opted for a "Turkey Avocado and Swiss Cheese" on sourdough bread ($12.69). If you're looking for a specialty sandwich shop, this may not be up your alley, but if you're in the mood for a tasty but simple, homemade sandwich, then look no further. While I wish there was a bit more meat than the two slices of turkey I received, I thought the sandwich was delicious, very fresh and I loved how soft the bread was. The price was a bit on the higher end for me as I was still hungry after I finished my sandwich, but I definitely enjoyed every bite of it! Service was also wonderful and I appreciated that "mom and pop" feel and love supporting local businesses. Mr Sandwich is in a small strip mall with a few other restaurants as well so parking was a bit tough but I was able to find a spot after a few circle-ings of the lot.

We ordered 10 different sandwiches from Mr. Sandwich for our office meeting today through an online delivery service. I got the tuna avocado with sprouts on squaw bread and it was great. They did a good job on the tuna salad and it wasn't drowned in mayo like most sandwich shops. The sandwich was huge. Half of their sandwich equals to almost a whole sandwich somewhere else. And the sprouts was super fresh. 5-star. One of the sandwiches was supposed to be meatballs with mushrooms. However, there were no mushrooms on the sandwich, just the meatballs. I called Mr. Sandwich directly to let them know. Told them I would take just the mushrooms to add to the sandwich but the owner told me they would make a fresh one for me. She was really nice about it. Came by at 1:00 pm to pick it up and the person that makes the sandwiches was very apologetic. He made a fresh one while I waited. Super kind. He also put plenty of mushrooms on the sandwich. I requested to keep the sauce on the side so the sandwich wouldn't be soggy and he did exactly as requested. Mushrooms were a bit salty but overall delicious. The only complaint I heard was the italian sausage sandwich had very little sausage. I believe they cut one sausage to 4 quarters. Since the bread was huge, not enough meat. Everyone else enjoyed their order. Highly recommend Mr. Sandwich. Prices a bit higher than most sandwich places but very good quality. And they do not skimp on protein. Their small chocolate chips cookies are also very fresh. I love cc cookies but very picky and won't eat them if they are a day old. Yes, I can tell. :) Love them here.

My first impression was, "Simple, quick and easy for lunch when you're short on time," I haven't posted a review on Yelp for a while but had to offset some of the negative recent reviews. Reviews truly make a difference for small businesses and this one's a local mom and pop shop. I randomly stopped by but was surprised by the size of the sandwich (it's a double sandwich) for the daily lunch special. I had the turkey provolone on squaw and it came with a drink and choice of chips for $14.99. The service was friendly and quick . Menu is straightforward and they had a variety of pastries and dessert to go. The lasting impression? "Not looking for a fancy sandwich but a great local stop for a quick and easy lunch that's light with no frills! Happy to support local, small businesses."

Serving ice cream now! And I think they have extended hours til 8pm and open Saturday too.

This place is right across the street from my work. I ordered the salami avocado pepper jack sandwich with sourdough bread. Bread choices include the French roll, sour dough, whole wheat, squaw, rye, and white bread. You can tell that the salami was higher grade meat and the menu has a good selection of items with fresh ingredients. If you are looking for a cold sandwich with healthy ingredients, this is the spot. It's a nice hole-in-the-wall sandwich shop. read more

Amazing sandwiches! Mr Sandwich has become a staple in my household ever since we found the little store on Yelp. The sandwiches are made fresh and filled with delicious ingredients. The entire family loves ordering here. My personal favorite order is a chicken salad sandwich with cucumber and avocado on squaw bread (my husband loves this one too!). Fast and Efficient !! Yes, as crowded as it may get sometimes, the two or three people that work behind the counter are always on top of things. I'll order a sandwich and it's ready in less than 4 minutes, nearly guaranteed. I like their turkey avocado, meatball and mushroom, and egg salad sandwiches. A little over priced (average $6.49), but healthy and fresh and made very fast ! read more

I have phases where I randomly crave sandwiches all the town and I finished a run in the area & wanted to support a mom and pop business and I'm sooo glad I found this place bc of all the Yelpers bc their sandwiches are really good and well priced. Great mom and pop place! I work nearby and come here regularly. Very friendly owners and service is amazing. They'll wrap your leftovers for you and pack it neatly to go. Sometimes I'll phone in my order if I have a large group. Owners will come out and greet us and give us cookies. They still value and appreciate their customers. I always get the avocado, Swiss with turkey on a French roll. It's delicious! And if I am feeling adventurous I add bacon to it. read more

I've been coming here for the last few years and every single time it's so delicious. My favorite item is the tuna avocado on French roll with an ice cold can of Diet Coke and some jalapeños on the side. My office always orders sandwiches from here - they're always delicious. Independently owned and run, the owner is a very nice lady. I am absolutely OBSESSED! So I stumbled upon it on ACCIDENT two weeks ago thinking I was going to a different sandwich shop... then I get there & place an order for a simple tuna sandwich to go. I get home to try this thing... it was the BEST TUNA SANDWICH I HAVE EVER TRIED !!! Wonderful service - the woman working the cash register was super friendly and sweet. Our order came out very quickly with everything correct, and the sandwiches were delicious. Definitely come here for a great experience and reasonably-priced yummy sandwiches! I got the salami avocado and pepper cheese while my husband got the Italian cold cuts. Mr sandwich has become my favorite sandwich place in this area. It's super easy to place your order ahead online or by calling, and the wait for you food is never long. The sandwiches here are always so good no matter which one you order! I skipped out on breakfast since I didn't want to be late for work. However, I arrived at my workplace super early, so I thought to grab some food around the area. Mr Sandwich was one of the few places open early, so I hopped on by. The lady at the cash register was rlly sweet. It also seemed that the store was manned by two people (her included), and I didn't have to wait for long for my sandwiches. I was a bit confused on the options since I wasn't aware that I had to pick what bread I wanted. The lady was very patient and let me know which options were sliced and whatnot. The portions were large for sandwiches, and I was quite happy with that haha~ I do have a rather large appetite, but I had also intended to share the other portions with my coworkers. I had ordered the chicken salad sandwich (whole) for myself, the ham and cheese (whole), and two portions of potato salad. I wasn't able to get a picture of the ham and cheese...but the chicken salad was really good :)) It was probably one of the best I had read more

My go to for lunch. I always get the veggie sandwich and it's always so good! I mean, I know I can make this at home but let's be real, most of the time I'm way too busy to do all that. It's nice to have a place that makes something simple and delicious. The staff is also very friendly. My only complaint is that sometimes I tell them extra tomatoes and they don't do it. I've always loved this sandwich spot. It appears to be a family owned business. They've always been very accommodating and have never hesitated to give extra with the toppings and dressings when requested. Every time I've been there, they've always had a several others eating there and do good business being that it's located near business. I strongly recommend their Tuna. You looking for an amazing sandwich?! THIS is your place! I would give 10 if I could but yelp doesn't allow that. The chicken salad is my FAVORITE! They have fountain drinks as well as other teas, Snapple, soda etc. they also have some of the best cookies ever! This is my favorite sandwich place located local to our business and I will FOREVER give them my business. I can't say enough good stuff. They made your sandwich faster than you can order so even if there's a line it doesn't take long to get your order. Seriously LOVE this place. Staff is welcoming and always smiling and it's very clean! Totally suggest trying it at least once! read more

Obsessed with the turkey, pepper jack, and sautéed mushroom sandwich I buy when I get the chance to head over to Mr.Sandwich. No joke, I dreamed about the sandwich last night (a bit much, I know), so I had to head over today to get my fill. If you live in Irvine/Tustin or work in the area, do stop by and make yourself incredibly happy. :) And the owners are super nice too! One of them gave my sons free cookies when we came in today. read more

Yes, I have to agree, the best sandwich that I have ever eaten. I ordered a small turkey, avocado, and Swiss sandwich with lettuce and mayonnaise on squaw bread. First of all don't let the small size fool you, it's a very filling sandwich and actually the size of a regular sandwich but lots of extra fillings, unfortunately, I didn't have room for my chips or cookie after eating it. The ingredients are super fresh as well as the bread. The online ordering platform on their website is great, sandwich made quick and exactly as requested. I'm looking forward to my next sandwich. SIMPLY THEE BEST. HANDS DOWN, NO COMPARISON. I've been coming here since 1997. Still- very day, consistently great, great, great!! The family who's owned this deli has only given great customer service, quality REAL food, not fake, not processed, all with compassion. Theresa, you're doing a great job and it's always a pleasure to see everyone. My meal recommendation: They have thee best chicken salad anywhere- period. I get: The chicken salad with avocado, no cheese, on well toasted squaw bread. 100 STARS!! :-) Customer for LIFE!. read more

They stick to a more traditional approach and don't add sweetener unless you ask for it. Lastly, the pourovers. Some people might question the price, but take a minute to smell the different beans at the counter. You'll quickly realize that not every bean smells like coffee. The tasting notes actually come through and you can tell a lot of care goes into every pour over they make. Most drinks, aside from the pour-overs, are around $4.50 to $7, which is a far greater value for what you're getting in sheer quality. There are way too many cafes these days that focus on aesthetics and end up sacrificing quality. This place feels like it's run by people who genuinely love coffee and it shows in every order. Last note: they have their system down to a tee. The wait in line may be long but once you order it's super quick to receive your order.

Fortunately a table had just opened up. Otherwise there are tables outside their shop as well. Once again their Bingsoo was more crunchy than smooth and velvety in my mouth. There were strawberry slices on top with a few mochi pieces, and a little condensed milk drizzle on top. The middle and bottom layers were just crunchy ice. This was also gravely disappointing. Parking on weekend evenings look to be challenging as it was for me.

Total bonus--who doesn't love a donut after a sandwich? I couldn't decide on just one, so I ended up ordering two sandwiches: a chicken salad on a French roll and a turkey bacon avocado on toasted sourdough. Both were absolutely spot-on. The chicken salad was creamy without being heavy, and the French roll was fresh and soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together. The turkey bacon avocado on sourdough was equally fantastic--the bacon was crispy, the avocado was perfectly ripe, and the sourdough had just the right amount of crunch from being toasted. Every bite was like a little piece of sandwich heaven, and I left feeling full and totally satisfied. The service was another highlight. I would rate Mr. Sandwich a half-step up over the major sandwich/sub chains in quality but it's my most reliable stand-by in terms of producing a decent lunch that I can get around the corner from where I work. When I stop in, it's usually on my way back from a meeting.There is a decent selection of meat and veggie orders to choose from. Your best value is the daily special, which is posted on a little sign next to the register. Ingredients are a tad fresher and the service is a tad nicer than in the national chains. I usually order something on French bread (meatball or chicken salad) and the ingredients commonly overflow out of the bread ... I've been known to start off using a fork. Also, it takes just a few minutes to get your order. Notes:(1) Inside is tiny, just a few tables. There are also tables outside on the walkway but they are just a few feet from parked cars. I order to-go every time (ambience is unexciting).(2) Because there are three fast-food restaurants sharing the same little shopping center, the parking is majorly congested during the weekday lunch rush.
