So excited to try this food truck! The reviews are enticing and mom's a huge middle eastern food fan. Fidel was amazing. He took time to get to know me and give tips about the food. In fact he even talked me into trying the Vimeo soda which was surprisingly good. A little fruity with a hint of cola. Would definitely get it again. Portions are very generous which makes the price fitting. Mom had chicken shawarma with garlic fries. The garlic was very light, almost unnoticeable. Shawarma was good but benefits from additional sauce. A special black ketchup was included which was very tasty. Suggest asking for extra. I had the beef shawarma wrap with waffle fries. Perfectly cut to eat almost like finger food so you don't get too messy. It was good, seemed fresh. I definitely preferred the waffle fries to the garlic ones. Nice that there was a set up adjacent to the truck to sit and enjoy the meal while it's hot. Worth keeping your eye on this food truck!

Hear me out, some of the best shawarma you'll get in San Diego is being served in the parking lot of a gas station in Santee. My son's taekwondo class is down the block from Mr. Shawarma and I've driven by them a few times but I tried them for the first time yesterday and I was blown away. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful, you can put their garlic sauce on a shoe and it'll be good. The saj bread they use in the wrap is perfect, it's toasted perfectly so it's flakey and pliable, it's delicious. Unfortunately I didn't get the gentleman's name but he was super nice and personable, he took his time to explain the menu and recommend a few items. I was also impressed with their pricing, they have the fairest prices I've seen in a loooooong time, I mean you can get 3 pieces of Baklava for like 6 bucks which is unheard of. Im definitely looking forward to trying more of the menu. Bonus: They serve 100% Halal meat

Stopped by here on a rainy night. It was 8:45 and all our other go-to places were closing soon. I'm so glad we came across this gem. Super friendly service! The menu has a great variety to choose from. I got the Hangover Burger plate. It was HUGE and absolutely delicious. Seriously delicious! My husband got the Double Trouble plate. Both were very fresh and a lot of food. Can't wait to try other menu items. And the fact they are open until midnight.....super bonus! Had to come back to add, the Baklava is amazing. The freshest I've ever had.

Food is great! we ordered beef shawarma wrap and got a free nutella baclava and a free water bottle. Not just the food is great, the owner Alfred is very friendly it makes it you feel to comeback. Just heads up, the truck is park at the gasoline station. Not the back or side. Its on the corner of grape and pacific. No tables or chairs so its kinda take out or eat in your car. Well peace out Alfred your doing great sir.

Oh my! Best schwarma I have ever had! I have been to Kuwait, Lebanon, Dubai, and many other countries. I never imagined the best schwarma would be in San Diego. The guy who makes them, Ziad, had the best service and experience at at food truck I have ever had. Will definitely go out of my way to eat here again!

Finally a really Mediterranean place with REAL shawarma! My husband and I came here tonight and had the most delightful experience. The customer service is fantastic and super friendly. We asked for assistance with our selections and ended up going with the shawarma plate and several desserts. All of the food was so fresh and flavorful. The Shawarma melts in your mouth and the chicken was tender and savory. The accompaniments were so good. Also- the baklava was hands down the best I've ever had. INCREDIBLE. This place is reasonable and has great portion sizes! Can't wait to come back.

Came by this food truck on Yelp serving your bssic middle-eastern dishes with a twist. We came late at night and they ran out of many items, so we settled upon the Mr. Shawarma fries with beef, along with tahini and garlic sauce as that was all they had. This turned out to be delicious and the owners were very friendly as well, it was late night after a long day and we had a great experience with the owners. The menu ranges from combo plates all the way to hot dogs and Baklava. They have a lot to offer and I can see why they're quite popular.

10/10 place to visit!! My friend and I got the Mr. Shawarma fries, one with chicken and one with beef. The flavor cannot be beat and don't even get me started on the sauce!!! We've been to many locations and this one on pacific highway has been the best. The woman working gave great suggestions and was so helpful and friendly. Food came out quick and hot! Mr. Shawarma you have gained some loyal customers for life. I'm gonna have to stop myself from coming back every day

Uhm I'm super dissatisfied. As a pregnant woman who was craving some Mediterranean food. I ordered a bowl so I can just walk close to the water and enjoy it. I ordered a falafel rice bowl. And I mean they didn't falsely advertise...that is exactly what I got. Just rice and falafel lol No veggies or the pepperoncinis I paid extra for. It's comical. $12.69 for this was disappointing. Sauce on the side was also not enough for the tiny bowl lol be warned

She was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely added to the experience. Great service can make a good meal better, and she absolutely did that. Now let's talk about the food, because they did not miss. At all. I ordered the salmon, and it was masterfully prepared. Perfect texture, full of flavor, and the sauce was the kind of sauce you keep going back to even after you swear you're done. My friends had the lamb, chicken, and beef plates, and everything at the table looked and tasted like it was made with real care. The salads were crisp and fresh, and the dressings were bright, flavorful, and balanced. And then there was the espresso martini. Honestly? Best I've ever had. No notes. The owners and staff were also genuinely kind and welcoming, which gave the whole experience that extra "we'll definitely be back" feeling. The menu was a bit confusing, but I know that I like grilled veggies and Greek salad and then Ike was able to pick my protein that I wanted so that seemed easy enough. The base price with falafel or chicken Shawarma was Close to $16 but since I chose the meat, they added two dollars to my total. It took about 10 minutes for them to assemble my meal, but my veggies were cooked fresh on the stove, which was really nice. They tasted very freshly cooked just as they would as if I had cooked them myself at home. I was there about 1245 on a Monday and there were a few people there and they had some takeout orders so my order took about 10 minutes before I could walk out the door with it. They had a nice condiment bar where you could pick out some yogurt with dill sauce and then they're famous garlic yogurt sauce, as well as a jalapeño sauce And another spicy hot one that I would never try. When I got back to the jury room to eat my meal, I saw that there was a nice quantity of the fresh salad and the grilled vegetables but the meat was piled high! The employees were working efficiently and the place was spotless and orderly.
