STAY AWAY !!! If I could give them negative reviews I would. The past 6 months they have screwed up over and over. Most recently I brought in my vehicle to have the tires rotated and that was it and they didnt even do that and lied about it. However I know with certainty that they did not rotate any of the tires. Making mistakes is one thing, straight up lying about services rendered or not rendered is a complete scumbag move. read more

Wrote a review on Mr Tire (2020). I left out I had codes that couldn't pass inspection. They told me the couldn't reset the code or fix them (even after their inspection machine told them the codes). They told me to go to the dealership (I did west herr). It turned out to be a abs/speed sensor that was loose. I contacted corporate about being charged having my car scanned and them not fixing it. They gave me my money back. They agreed the manager there was playing games or something. read more

Tried to make an appointment for new tires for my wife's car. They never answered the phone so I had to set it up online. I chose tire because they had cheap tires. Wanted an oil change as well and before we left we noticed the sticker was never changed. So we went back in and questioned it. Turns out they never did it so we had to wait again. Friendly, courteous staff. Took care of my car in under an hour. Despite it failing inspection due to the tint on my windows. I was able to bring the car right back to this facility and was in and out (passing the inspection) in less than 10 minutes. Gave recommendations and suggestions as well. No issues to note. I don't even know where to begin.. I made an appointment on Tuesday evening at 5:30 PM at Mr. Tire in Greece off Dewey Ave. I arrived at 5:15 to drop my keys off and waited to be greeted at the service desk. In walks a guy who looked to be a tech I said "hello" he looked up at me, didn't say anything back, makes some annoyed grunting noises and walked into the garage... hmm that's nice. In walks the "service manager" he is frazzled and complaining he should have left at 4:30... okay?? "well here are my keys can you note to check my rotor condition please" he writes it down on the sheet and leaves in a hurry. Around 5:50 I notice my car hadn't been brought in yet. I sat in the waiting room while I watched the tech work on two other vehicles back and forth all while stopping and taking smoke breaks (while working in the garage and standing under vehicles mind you) He finally came in to get the work ticket for my vehicle and sees the note on top he makes more irritated gestures to the guy that is now at the service desk about how idiotic that comment is. I explained at that point "maybe I should take my car elsewhere, maybe some place that has decent customer service" Well, after that all really goes downhill. He takes his time, drives my vehicle for road safety check, comes back puts my car on the lift, goes back to the other vehicle he is putting tires on (that guy is ready to flip out in the waiting room also) and takes another smoke break... I go and sit outside as I have now been waiting an hour and haven't even had my car inspected! the tech comes out (his name is J.T) and tells me with a smile "legally I can fail you in NYS for your brakes soooo" I look at him "soooo??" "well I just wanted to let you know that I was failing you" I laughed and said OKAY, obviously I saw that coming. The manager on site begins to write me up a list of things I needed, caliper, brake pads, rotors.. I finally get my car back at 7:00 PM J.T gets out of my vehicle with a satisfied shitty little grin on his face and says sarcastically "have a better day" That was it for me. I was furious that he thought he could play god with my inspection. I took my car elsewhere and it passed inspection. They couldn't believe the write up I showed them of the "issues" my car had. They didn't exist! It was a wheel baring that could possibly be changed but there was absolutely nothing wrong with my brake pads, caliper or rotors like J.T had failed my inspection over. This place is HORRIBLE. AVOID at all costs. I had such a great experience at EFS Auto. They will even go out of the way to make sure you get to and from work while they service your vehicle and call you with updates if needed. Stay away from MR. Tire and that joke of a tech at Dewey location J.T. Learn some manners and I hope he sees this and has himself "a nice day" Read less *Update - I have since verified that this was an illegally failed inspection with The Department of Motor Vehicles. My vehicle was never hooked up to the computer system in NYS to generate or determine why it was being "failed" they also wouldn't give me a failed report just an invoice with how much it was to repair the items that "are not passable" with a notation at the bottom saying "Rear caliper service needed to pass NYS to get rid of pulsation issue, customer would need rear pads and rotors as well as the caliper service" with an amount of $377.00. This place is terrible and the exact kind of "shop" you want to stay away from. They do not cover the tires they sell. When asked about it they change their story 10x as to why they won't cover it. They mentioned the alignment was bad but were showed documentation that the alignment was in spec prior. They tried throwing every excuse in the book as to why they wouldn't cover the cost of the cheap tires. When pressured, they finally announced they weren't able to tell us why the tires failed unless they charged us an inspection fee. Ridiculous. read more

My family and I have been loyal customers at Mr. Tire since they opened. Unfortunately, having to get your car repaired always sucks and always costs more than you hoped. The people at Mr Tire are great. I can't remember a time when my car was not ready on the day expected. Many of the mechanics have been at this location for a long time and they are all very skilled. They take care of me when I show up with new wiper blades to put on. As a female I am not talked down to--because I show up with wiper blades to put on--which is huge. John always listens to my concerns. He always gives me clear and often lengthy explanations of each problem after the car has been diagnosed when i ask. He lets me know the you-can-wait-a-month-issues vs. the I'm-surprised-your-car-has-not-exploded-yet-issues to help me prioritize. Most importantly John always works on the bottom line for me, scouring for any discounts he can find for me. Thanks! read more

So far it has been a bad experience. I went in on Tuesday 10-17 to get an oil change and NYS inspection as its going to be up next month. I waited an hour and a half. The manager came out told me it was done, I asked him about the inspection. He said the mechanic forgot to do the inspection, and it was to late to do it that day. But while they changed the oil he said they checked the brakes and rotors they needed to be changed inorder to pass inspection. So I scheduled to have breaks and rotors replased and my car inspected on Saturday 10-20. I get to my apointment early, drop my car off, leave. An hour and a half later I come back. My car is still in the same spot I left it. 30 mins later they pull it in to the gurage, as they are working on it the manager comes out and tells me one of the calipers needs replaced. Ends up costing me an extra $150 more. He tells me the car still cant be inspected! because some tool is missing and won't be in till at least Tuesday 10-24. So I have another appointment this coming Tuesday for just an inspection. We'll see how it goes! Will definitely update read more
