I really enjoyed my time here. It's close to the Americana mall, the library, and right across from the parking structure. They have coffee, pastries, and food. Food and drinks are a little pricey but it's a cool place to chill. You can have a nice outing with your family here or bring a hot date. The decor inside is very modern and fancy. The staff were super flexible and accommodating to my specific needs so I'm super grateful to them. Definitely coming here again to work. read more

We had a really nice experience here with the owner being very nice and welcoming as well as the beautiful tall server girl who took care of us upstairs. She had a great smile once she warms up as it must be tiring climbing the stairs to serve the 30 something upstairs seats so treat her well! Wow she must climb the stairs hundreds of times Daily so be patient with the upstairs seating service. She was very friendly and helpful especially as she prob has to deal with a lot of snooty clientele here. The pricing reflects that too but the tea and honey cake were both good and the food on the table next to us looked amazing! I am glad that Glendale finally got a nicer upscale coffee cafe experience that opens early and closes late. Stop by and share a pot of tea and dessert or for a nice bite al fresco on its outdoor patio while you count BMWs drive by. Lots of reviews mentioning pricing being too high but I felt it was aligned with the nicer atmosphere, fresh floral, music, plateware & dri used and its mixed clientele of affluent guests and shoppers from the area. Was really looking forward to going back after their renovation. Unfortunately, it's been a huge letdown. My fiancé and I had our first date here so this place holds a special meaning for us. One of the things I've always loved about this spot is their cozy upstairs seating area. Unfortunately, despite coming on a quiet Wednesday evening, we were told we couldn't sit upstairs because it's now reserved for large parties only. This was disappointing, especially since we could see empty tables upstairs from the parking lot. We've sat downstairs before and found the layout cramped and not nearly as enjoyable (like a table right by bathroom), and the outdoor seating isn't always a good option on a cold or windy day -- heaters or not. We were really looking forward to a coz evening to celebrate the anniversary of our first date and instead left feeling frustrated and overlooked. It's a shame because I do genuinely enjoy their teas and desserts, and the upstairs ambiance used to be a major draw for me. I hope the management reconsiders this new seating policy or at least finds a more thoughtful way to accommodate returning guests who have meaningful connections to the space. For this reason I won't be coming back. I will save my loyalty to businesses who value their relationship with their customers. read more

When we got to My Café, we were delighted because this coffee shop had affogato - which I'd been craving for weeks. Nobody showed us to our table after an awkward wait, so we just chose a random space. It was adorably decorated and perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. We were the only customers in the store, please take note. That will be relevant later. We were given menus but after perusing them for five minutes, nobody came to take our orders. A lady came by with our waters, but it took an extra 10 minutes before we could flag anyone down. A beautiful girl came by and after telling her how hungry we were, we asked for the avocado toast and a ham and cheese crepe. My affogato came around 30 minutes from the time our orders were taken. The food came around 10 minutes after that. We didn't know why everything took so long or why the servers ignored us whenever we raised our hands (to ask for napkins or extra water) - especially when there were no other customers to wait on. We figured this was a European-style bistro where they get to you when they get to you. The food was okay. For $15, my avocado toast was one slice of bread that was cut in half. Not a lot of avocado on it but it was tasty. The ham and cheese crepe was okay too, but nothing special. I liked the tomatoes because they cut through the fat of the cheese and ham. But the prices were unjustified. Especially given the portion sizes or the amount of time we were made to wait for our orders to come out. When we tried to ask for the bill, our server was eating and waved us to a different server. We just guessed she was on her break and didn't want to be bothered. So we just asked some other guy to bring us the bill. That involved yet again another 10 minute wait. Perhaps there was an issue in communication? They never told us to expect to wait longer than one typically would at a similar restaurant. The bill came and they added a card charge to it! Just so you know, they come with a card machine to your table and look you in the eye as you add a tip. And I tipped close to nothing because I wasn't pleased with the service. He looked outraged but if he had asked me why I tipped little, I would've gladly explained everything to him. You can't offer European customer service and expect an American-sized tip. read more

My family came to visit for the week and they were so excited to try this place since I've been raving about it. Everything was delicious as always, so far all the repeat items I've gotten are consistently great, there are just two things to note. 1- I don't drink coffee so I can't give my own opinion on this but almost everyone I've come here with says the coffee is not so great, I've ordered matcha and felt the same so I feel like majority rules on the this one. I would stick to either Armenia coffee or the lemonades (which are really delicious and refreshing). 2- Their ajarski khachapuri is on what they call "pizza bread", did not taste like pizza dough to me and it wasn't bad bread, but it was just not the right fit for this type of food. I would save your appetite and calories for another menu item. My two favorite are the brduch and the tomato scramble, they will never disappoint! If you have a larger party, make sure to snag the table upstairs, combining the small round tables is not very comfortable. read more

They at first told me no "just in case new customers come in." then they changed their answer to yes but only 45 minutes. they prioritize money over ur wellbeing. weird. food is basic overpriced also. if you want to dine-in for ur 90 minutes, wont recommend. To the owner. own up to ur mistakes. I'm not from Glendale but I was in the area to meet up with a friend for dinner. I came here to find a place to study and do work, and came across this place because it had wifi. Ambiance: I was a little surprised because this wasn't a typical coffee shop. It was more of a restaurant / brunch / cafe sort of place, and I was the only person with a laptop here. Everyone else was here to chat and hang out. But the employees seemed fine with it, so I just got used to feeling a bit out of place. Also I later found out that this was an Armenian cafe/restaurant. Service: The waiters who helped me had an accent, which threw me off at first, but they were pretty nice and welcoming. I stayed for a couple hours, but they were very attentive while I was there. I was lowkey waiting for them to be annoyed that I was the only one with a laptop doing work, but they didn't seem to mind. Food/value: I ended up getting the Ferrero Rocher Latte, which was recommended by the server and also I kept seeing photos of it, so I was intrigued. It was a really cool experience as the server brought the latte and poured over the coffee at my table, so I got a cool video of it. I really wished I got some of the other items because everything that came out looked very aesthetic, as well as the pictures I saw on Yelp. My one critique is that everything was a bit pricey, which made me hesitant to order at first, but I regretted not at least trying something since I'm not from this area. Also, I understand that prices at these types of places tend to be higher because you're paying for the ambiance and service and location. Overall, I had a great experience and I would definitely come back if i'm ever in the area. The bill was $74 for ONLY 4 items among two people: 2 Food items: $21 Sesame Bagel w/ Smoked Salmon, $19 French Baguette 2 Drink Items: $5 Armenian Coffee made on Sand, $9 Caramel Latte w/ Caramel Popcorn on top. First thing off the bat, this entire experience was not worth $74. We arrived on a Thursday around 12PM and it was hardly busy. We assumed this place to be a regular cafe and since the person standing at the counter of the entrance didn't acknowledge us, we walked further inside to seat ourselves until we were asked for indoor/outdoor seating by a male server. We opted to seat upstairs but were only given two table options. The cafe was entirely empty upstairs, however we would have preferred a table that was away from the restroom and closer to the windows for natural lighting. As we sat down, we asked the server if this was a typical cafe yet we were informed that there was a time limit to dine-in: 90min max (with paid food), 45min max (with paid drinks). We are not from the area but it would have been nice to get a brief introduction beforehand. We needed more time to browse the menu, but after awhile we assumed that they had neglected us and had to go downstairs to let them know we were ready to order. Now for the Smoked Salmon Bagel, we requested no dill and no pickled onions. The description also states it includes pickles and capers. When we received our item, it came with no pickles, no capers, and small bits of dill. They're lucky I wasn't allergic to dill because it seemed like they put it inside and realized afterwards. All of these were separate occasions where we had to walk down the stairs and inform any server about this. The female server stated this item does not come with pickles, yet it states on the menu online. It also did not come with capers as stated, and when we informed them it seemed as if we were asking for extra like it was a hassle on top of the already customized order. I've had a better bagel elsewhere with more filling, fully customizable, and way cheaper. On the other hand, the ham/turkey French Baguette would have tasted better if the baguette wasn't as hard as a rock. Not once did the servers come upstairs just to check how we were doing or ask if we needed anything else, instead it was the other way around - maybe that's part of their dining experience as a lounge cafe. My boyfriend didn't plan on going to the gym that day but got his cardio in for having to walk down the stairs multiple occasions asking for different things. If you wanted ice on the side, have an issue with the order, or even want a cup of water you gotta use your words and legs to ask. When you're ready to checkout you also pay at the register downstairs. We weren't shown the itemized receipt and only shown the total amount on the screen so who knows if we were charged extra for requesting the forgotten capers. The environment is clean. I wonder how are they still in business. We had a horrible experience here dining with a special guest of ours and didn't complain right away, trying to avoid an even more unpleasant experience for our guest. But I tried letting them know by phone about the issue, instead of putting a bad review on Yelp, to avoid hurting the business and also giving them a chance to correct the wrong ways they treat the customers but the guy who said he's the owner hung up on me twice. My Coffee is a fairly typical café that doesn't stand out, especially for the Glendale area. While it has a convenient location next to The Americana, the overall experience is just okay. The pastries are decent but nothing memorable, and the coffee is standard--nothing special. The biggest downside is the pricing, which feels too high for the quality of food and drinks offered. While it's a convenient stop if you're nearby, there are better options in the area for the same or better quality at a more reasonable price. Giving 3 stars is being generous I'd say. read more
