It's hard to compete with our favorite Thai back home, but we thought My Thai came very close and we were glad we made the decision to order from there. My Thai.... I had to wait for more than one hour. They said wait 35-40 mins. but it has been 1 hr 15 mins. as I am writing this review. They are taking forever and do not serve in order. So frustrating. They do not give good explanation about their delay. I am not the only angry customer. Waitress here said sorry but she is not sorry at all. So unfriendly. Workers in this restaurant don't have any customers service mind. I do not recommend this place and I will never come here again. I came back to hotel with 7 orders and found no utensils, no napkins. While on family vacation over Christmas break, we stopped into this restaurant with 3 babies and 8 adults; I'm sure you can imagine the chaos! Not wowed by the green tea from Costco or the curry dishes where "half and half" is listed as one of the ingredients (although the food didn't disappoint), but was blown away by the incredible service we received at My Thai. As a former waitress, I had anxiety just being part of such a needy table, and the staff met our every request, and even went above and beyond- offering to wash a plastic toy when it was dropped on the ground. Embarrassingly, our son was also the cause of a bowl falling off the edge of the table and breaking. I observed the staff really working together as a team to help our waitress, Wren. Special shout-out to her- she even chased me down with the leftovers in the parking lot when I absentmindedly left them on our table! Lastly, I wanted to recognize that although there were a few snowbirds dining, I also saw quite a few regulars who sat at the bar and the table next to us. Food: for starters we got the crab Rangoon's and they were perfect. It tasted like they put real crab pieces in there! As far as our main dishes, the waitress said they're known for their curry so I ordered the masaman plate. First thing I noticed was that it was a little watery for what I'm used to but the taste was on point. Loved it. My friend got the pad Thai and gave me a bite and was delicious too so you can't go wrong with either one of those two. If you like sweet, get the Thai tea because ho my god it's like dessert. They'll give you a sample if you ask. Dessert: we ordered the one with sweet rice and two scoops of ice cream. You can ask for a different flavor ice cream like, green tea if you want. It also had roasted peanuts. Who would of thought rice and ice cream together but it was perfect. Service: in the first 15m that we were there, our waitress was on it but man did that end quickly. We waited forever for our food, soda refills, dessert, and check. I even saw customers standing up to walk to the counter to pay their bill because they couldn't wait any longer. Tom khan soup with tofu is my go to, the My Thai salad, house specialty Nom Dtok. They have a good Lunch menu - we like the Pad Thai noodles , spicy eggplant , and the green curry with bamboo & chicken. They can get really busy for dinner so if you don't want to wait for a table, and don't mind being served at the bar seating area, it allows you to watch the kitchen production. Can't give it 5 stars yet, as it's been hit and miss for us. Can't figure out why it's not consistent yet. Nice family run restaurant. Good place to bring kids too. read more

My Thai is a nice little place located next to Trader Joe's in La Quinta. The decor is pleasant, with dark lacquered wood tables and comfortable seating. The atmosphere is casual, kind of noisy and it includes a few Thai touches. The food is fresh and flavorful. I have brought friends here many times, and they have always enjoyed it and found the food to be delicious. Tom Yum soup is delicious. I usually get it with tofu. Their spring rolls are typically heavy on the basil, so I usually order them with less of that pungent ingredient. Chicken satay is also popular with my friends who eat meat. One of the best things on the menu is the pineapple fried rice, which has a lovely curry flavor and is packed with good things like cashews, pineapple and shrimp; it usually includes chicken, but they can make any of the dishes meatless. The papaya salad is colorful , fresh, and delicious. My Thai is one of my favorite restaurants in La Quinta. read more

Check your meal good before you eat here. I found two pieces of eggshell in my meal. I could've choked on this. The pad Thai tasted like it had too much ketchup in it. I like this place a lot. We were going to go to the sushi place across the parking lot but when we had to put in a reservation and they were only open for one more hour, we decided it was best to go somewhere else. Well My Thai told us to sit anywhere we'd like and they didn't give us any attitude or anything about coming in so late. I asked for someone to wipe my seat and they did very quickly and politely. The seats in the corners could have been cleaned better but aside from that everything else was pretty clean. We ordered the Tom Yum Soup and the Massaman Curry and they were delicious. Not only did our server ask what level of spice we wanted but she also reassured us that we could pay whenever we were ready. We love this place and we will be back again for more. read more

My wife and I saw this restaurant yesterday while grabbing lunch at Aspen Mills Cafe and Bakery next door. The place had some mixed reviews so my wife and I thought we would give it a try. The service was spot on. They came over to the table to get our drink orders within 30 seconds of sitting down. We had ordered the vegetable rolls as an appetizer. They were very good. Freshly hand made. It was hot so give it time to cool off. The sweet and sour sauce was tasty with a little kick to it. Good stuff. My wife had the chicken fried rice and she thought it was great. She ordered the salad with the peanut sauce for her dressing. It was good. The dressing resembled a lighter sweeter version of peanut butter.... but in a dressing. I had the chicken Pad Thai. It was a huge plate, similar to my wife's portion. We had left overs. If you like noodles you will love this plate. My side was the hot and sour soup. It was good but not great. Overall, you get a lot for your money and the food and the service is good. We will come again and recommend it. Oh wow.... I have been here 20 minutes waiting for my order which is fine if the place is busy and food great. It's my first time but I'm horrify to witness that (probably the owner) the female cook is not wearing her mask, not wearing gloves and have been touching everything and did not wash her hands since I'm here... breaking the state law for not wearing a mask, breaking the health department regulations for not wearing gloves and apparently no caring about getting her staff and customers sick. I did throw away the food. And loose my $25 meal.... I will not go there ever again and would recommend anyone that wants to stay healthy to go to another Thai... lots of them around that follow rules and regulations!
