Okay...I LOVE this place. What a gem. It's rare to find a tea place that does nitro. Typically you only find that with coffee but I am not a coffee drinker. I really appreciate that they offer oat milk here instead of the typical powdered "non dairy creamer" (I hate that). I don't know if it's just the nitro or the quality of the tea or both but the tea here is so freakin good and so smooth. That is what nitro is known for. I saw another reviewer correlating nitro with stronger caffeine. But nitro tea is just a nitrogen gas infused tea. Adding nitrogen to the tea is supposed to help create a more silky, rich, creamy texture and is supposed to increase the aromatics of tea. Adding nitrogen to tea doesn't increase the caffeine level. They clearly know their tea temps. The tea tasted so good I did ask if they use any kind of syrup or flavoring in the jasmine tea and was told no it's just brewed tea. This has got to be the best jasmine milk tea I've ever had - it's incredibly smooth, aromatic, fantastic flavor, floral and no bitterness at all. I get 0% sweet and add oat milk + boba and it makes it the perfect sweetness for me. I'm craving it so bad right now but we're not in town anymore :( My husband got the passion green tea and it was also delicious. I wasn't really a fan of the strawberry hussle. But I do love that they use real fruits and not just artificial flavourings/syrups/powders. We ended up going back several times and we will definitely be back when we're in town. read more

The jasmine flavor is potent and comes through strong. It pairs well with the watermelon. Blueberry Cheezo: this has blueberry green tea and cheese foam. I do not often see blueberry flavored tea so that is definitely unique. Blueberry pairs well with the cheese foam. Try this out if you like blueberry. I was craving some good matcha with boba. So we happen to stop by this place and waited till they opened (we didn't mind). Looking around I love how the interior was more of an industrial style especially the details in the paint on the walls. The staff was really friendly and told us we can go inside early we just would have to wait 5 minutes. I had the mango matcha with crystal boba, the strawberry freeze without boba and the pandan waffle (buy 3 get 1free deal). The only issue I had was that the mango matcha wasn't sealed all the way that when I shook it, it spilled out of the side just a little bit. But it was so good! Came here multiple times with different friends, so this is just a collective review of the drinks we got. - Mango green tea w/lychee jelly: Decent drink. We got the house milk tea and watermelon freeze here and really enjoyed both! I hear about the fruit teas at N7 the most, but I was particularly impressed with the house milk tea. We only got it because their strawberry hussle was out of season, so I was surprised when it ended up being our favorite of the two. The milk tea was very creamy and the pearls were cooked to be just soft enough. We got 50% sweetness and it was perfect, maybe even a little too sweet. The watermelon freeze at 25% sweetness was really refreshing and clearly used real watermelons. Only thing is that a boba straw would've been better than the regular straw we were given to be able to get to the watermelon and ice bits. I'm on a mission to find my favorite boba in SJ. For the most part I'm trying the house milk tea with boba at as many places that I can find but I may get a 2nd different drink "for research" purposes. One of the qualities I really enjoy is a creamier milk tea and a smoother black tea base. N7 uses nitro and I really enjoyed the mouthfeel of the house tea. It wasn't super creamy but it definitely was better than some place that have a very thin milk tea. The tea flavor was pretty subtle and the boba was perfectly chewy. I ordered my bubble tea at 50% sweetness and it was spot on with the level of sweetness I wanted. I also ordered a strawberry matcha which was also good. I could taste both the matcha and the strawberry. It was a little bit sweeter but still pretty good. Overall I think this is a very solid bubble tea and the only thing left to do is go back one more time for a "consistency" check. Watermelon freeze - again the 25% wasn't very sweet at all. I've recommended this to my friend too and she enjoyed it as well! I normally don't pick super basic drinks when I order boba but I really enjoyed it here and would recommend it to anyone who's in the mood for something milky. JASMINE CHEESE CREMA(4/5): I got this because the jasmine milk tea was super good and this one did not disappoint. This one tastes a lot more refreshing but my concern is how to drink it when you get a topping since it's best to drink this with the lid and not a straw. I ordered crystal agar with it and had to drink with the straw to get the pearls, but if you do this then you don't get the crema sitting on top of the tea so I probably would not think it's worth getting a topping with this drink again. Also, the crystal agar here tasted a little sour, I'm not sure if it was expired but it def had a weird tang... Overall the Jasmine Cheese Crema was delicious and I would get this if I'm not in the mood for milk tea. HOUSE MILK TEA(3.5/5): I can see why a lot of people would like this, it's tasty and I love the brown sugar crema it comes with. After a disappointing disaster at another milk tea shop, I had to find myself a second option and finally decided to try this place. NO RGRTS. Actually, N7 is an obvious nod to the atomic symbol and number of nitrogen, and it's intrigued me ever since I heard of it due to my prior obsessions with nitro coffee and nitro beer. Infusing those drinks with nitrogen lends creaminess while tempering bitter flavors. Taking pandemic precautions, N7 Draft Tea and Coffee has set up their cash register just inside their entrance and barred entry to the public, so you'll have to order and wait outside. Luckily, the line was nonexistent (and parking was pleasantly easy for this normally packed plaza) when I showed up on a Monday afternoon I went with one of my go-to orders at bubble tea businesses, the Jasmine Milk Tea ($5). The creamy mouthfeel is definitely off the charts, and it's probably the first quality which you'll notice when sipping on this. The second might be that there is indeed a strong-enough jasmine flavor, despite the propensity of creamer and nitro to drown it out. You may also notice that the crushed ice dissolves quickly in your mouth and that the sugar isn't out of bounds; my 75% sweetness was certainly ideal for an afternoon sipper. (UPDATE 11/26/20: Went back for the Strawberry Hussle, also $5, which was recommended by all of my Yelp friends who have traveled through the area. Fresh strawberry puree for the win. Jasmine was perhaps even lighter, but that's fine when balancing against a delicate fruit. 75% was again a winning sweetness level. Hopefully they decide to delve into passion fruit eventually.) I ordered the Grape Gatsby with boba. I heard that this place is known for making their drinks nitro infused, hence the name. However, it was not game changing as I imagined. The atmosphere is dim and really spacious. They have very cool looking tables with a wood/log design. It is a great place if you have a large group and would like to sit there and chill. When I got there on a weekday afternoon, there was no line so the service was quick. Overall, it was just a decent boba drink. I did taste the real grapes but the boba was just average. If this is your first time, I would at least give it a try but it was "not my cup of tea." read more

**COVID REVIEW** There's so many boba spots in this plaza, but because of the reviews I wanted to try this place. We got there when it just opened so there was no wait. We ordered house milk tea with boba (50% sweet) and matcha frappe. The house milk tea was still pretty sweet with only 50% sweet and the matcha frappe was not bad. read more

Got a matcha and berry drink here. Although I got 75% sweetness, I thought the matcha drink was too sweet, but had a solid matcha taste. Wasn't too milky or watery. The service was fast, but I think the ambiance of the store doesn't make it the most desirable place to stay and work. The bathroom was also out of order when I visited. read more

Went with my go-to here - strawberry hussle. It's jam packed with strawberry flavors and I love the nitro tea flavor. It's so unique and you can really taste the tea flavor, which is not always the case at all tea houses. I get it with 50% sweetness, which is great for me, and boba - nice and chewy. Size of the drink is big. But the prices are a little steep for every day or regularly scheduled drinks. Right now, they just have a table set up with the plastic barriers in front of the door where they take your order and you pay. So safety is good. And no wait, on a weekend afternoon. Parking is a mess - lots of driver in this (craxzy) Asian shopping center. There's lots of turnover so you can easily find spots, just be careful driving around. read more

One of my go to boba spots in East San Jose. I always get their House Milk Tea with less ice, 75% sweet, oat milk, and no toppings. Their boba isn't the greatest, unless you like chewy boba (I prefer really soft boba). The House Milk Tea is smooth and rich in flavor. I could chug it if I wanted to, but then I'll just be overly caffienated. The Rose Milk Tea is also good. If you don't like sweet I would suggest getting 0-25% sweetness for the milk teas. The aesthetic of the place is like a cave. Gray walls and wooden tables for large parties to sit at. There's also stools on the side to sit on. Service has always been pleasant and they're always willing to answer your questions. read more
