They have recently remodeled and I love the new decor and how inviting it is. The menu is now more condense and organized. I got the creamy jasmine milk tea at 25% sweet and enjoyed it very much. Service was quick and hassle free.

N7 getting with the times - they're all about matcha now! They still have their classic fruit drinks but it's taken a backseat, as matcha is now the star of the show. DRINKS matcha einspanner. (4/5) - I enjoy the matcha here, the drink is creamy and the house whip tastes like vanilla cold foam. Portion is definitely on the smaller side for the price. $7.95 coconut matcha. (2/5) - tastes like coconut water with no hint of matcha whatsoever... it's also their most expensive drink, but they serve it in the big cup. ($8.50) VIBE I'm glad they remodeled, the old N7 felt unwelcoming... Although they should consider getting some AC in there. So stuffy! Overall the vibe is nice and it's one of the few tea places in this plaza that offers ample seating. I'd like to try other drinks.

We ordered the sea salt drip coffee and pistachio cream matcha. The cream on top was pretty thick but once you mixed the drink, it made the drink better. The matcha was a bit bitter but once mixed with the cream, it was so much better.

Han was very rude. I asked her for a drink and wondered if I was able to customize it and she said I can go to another store if I wanted to customize it. I politely asked if I was able to swap cream tops, she stared at me and took a breath, then told me to go to the store across the plaza, Soyful, to get what I wanted. I've been wanting to try N7's new matchas but now I'm very discouraged and don't want to come back.

I went and visited after their new rebrand and remodel. Everything is now very bright and modern compared to the grey and dark vibe from before. They also added in a photo booth for customers to pay and use. Their new menu is focused more on matcha so that's what I tried!! My drink came out quickly and there was no line. Got their mango matcha and I have to say it was AMAZING 11/10 -- the cream was sweet and when mixed in with the drink it was thick and complimented the matcha so well.

This place is always super busy and parking can be a bit rough but there's plenty of street parking. The inside was spacious and the kiosks didn't work so we ordered with the cashier. I've been loving n7 for years and whenever I would go, I would either get their nitro jasmine milk tea, assam milk tea or strawberry hussle with their pandan waffle! I saw that this location recently finished remodeling and offers a variety of matcha options so I had to check it out :3 I got the pistachio matcha and my friend got the matcha einspanner. It was okay. Not my favorite but not bad either (3/5). I do like the other matcha options in the same plaza more. I do like that they have a cute photo booth and we paid $8 for 2 photo strips :) If i come back it would be for the milk teas or fruit teas!

how strawberry milk tea usually looks vs
    April P.

I visited this location yesterday and have been coming about once a week because I really enjoy their drinks. Today, I decided to try something different and ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea, substituting oat milk since I can't have whole milk. When my drink was served, it had the consistency of a slushie, and it didn't appear that oat milk had been added because the color never changed. Every other Strawberry Milk Tea I saw being served was a light pink, while mine looked completely different. I politely let the cashier know that I wasn't happy with my drink and asked if it would be possible to have it remade or exchanged. She went to the back to speak with someone, and when she returned, she told me they couldn't replace it. Instead, she offered to make it sweeter and gave me a 25% discount on my next drink. While I appreciated the discount, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled. In my experience, most businesses are willing to remake or replace a drink when it isn't prepared as expected, especially when there may have been an issue with the order. I've always enjoyed coming here, which is why this experience was disappointing. I hope the team will consider handling situations like this differently in the future to maintain the great customer service that keeps customers coming back.

I used to got N7 a lot even before they reopened, but they've gotten even better. The interior is really nice and super spacious, which makes it the perfect place to study or hang out. They even have a photo booth, which is really cute and trendy. For drinks, my friend got the black sesame matcha and it was so nutty and rich, and I got the strawberry milk tea, which was super creamy and just really good. They're also really generous with their portions, so the sizes feel worth it. The service is great too. Everything comes out quickly, and the staff are really friendly.

I saw that they've remodeled and revamped their menu so I wanted to give them a try after not having them for so long. Matcha is all the rage right now so I tried the pistachio matcha. I absolutely loved it. I asked for less ice, less sweetness and it was just perfect for me. The place is now much brighter and roomy. Plenty of seating to sit and hang with friends. I stopped by March 19, 2026 and they're currently running a 20% off all drinks for their reopening. Would definitely recommend trying them out especially with the discount to see if you like their new, revamped menu

    House Milk Tea

Came back here after their renovations. They're doing the neutral beige minimalist aesthetic; definitely a brighter look from their previous decor. Plenty seating and more spacious. Photo booth room is hidden inside the mirror door, not free (payment is on the left side). Re-opening day promos were free house assam milk tea and 20% off. FYI: cup sizes definitely changed and vary based on the drink you're getting Drinks: House Milk Tea (Assam) with honey boba, 75% sweet, less ice. - It's sweet, I recommend 50% or lower - Boba is soft and chewy :)

    Jenny P.

We got their house milk tea and their pistachio one. The pistachio flavor wasn't super strong, it was overpowered by the sweetness, so may be next time I'd lower the sugar level. The house milk tea is a classic, but also super sweet. Service was super quick. They got to us oretty fast and the place looks really modern. It looks like a good place to study.

    Jennifer

3.5 because the drinks were not good to me, but they have a really cool vibe here and my friends still enjoyed their drinks. I came here upon the remodel and it seems like they added new recipes. Personally the drinks were not that tasty to me. I like to get 0% sugar and their jasmine milk tea without sugar tasted too floral for me.

    Amber N.

I've been to N7 a few times and this time my friend wanted to try their matcha menu. I guess they were doing a 20% off discount because they were open again after the remodeling. The place definitely looks more modern and more neutral colors. I got the Matcha Einspanner and my friend got the Matcha Pistachio. The drinks came out to $6 because of the discount. But the cups were small. Kinda bummed about that. I thought my drink was pretty creamy but my friend said hers could have been better. Service was pretty quick. There's a new Photo Booth they added and it was $8 for two strips. Super cute idea! Wish the plaza this place was in had better parking because on weekends it can get really busy.

    Average sweetness for milk teas?

The milk tea tastes like sweet milk, if you prefer to taste the flavor I recommend going with 50-75% sweetness

Anyone know if their milk teas actually have a good strong TEA flavor? A lot of these San Jose places dont have much tea taste in their milk " tea" .

Their jasmine MT kind of just tastes like sweet milk. If you want any tea flavor at all from this place, I'd suggest getting 25-50% sweetness.

One thing that surprised me was the limited sweetness options, they only offer 0%, 50%, or 100% sugar. I usually like my drinks around 20% sweetness, so I ended up ordering the 50%. Unfortunately, it was way too sweet for my liking. The tea flavor also tasted a bit artificial and didn't really stand out. Overall, it wasn't my cup of tea and probably won't be coming back.

I honestly don't understand how this place has accumulated so many 4 and 5 star reviews…read more This was my first visit, and unfortunately it will also be my last. I ordered a large Thai milk tea with honey boba and double espresso shots, along with an order of popcorn chicken. The total came to nearly $24, which would be easier to accept if the quality matched the price. The Thai milk tea, even at 75% sugar and with added double shots, tasted watered down and lacked the rich tea flavor I expected. The honey boba was equally disappointing, with little to no noticeable honey flavor despite being marketed as such. The popcorn chicken was crispy, but I specifically ordered mild seasoning and received something that was noticeably spicy. If you're sensitive to spice, be aware that their definition of "mild" may differ from yours. What disappointed me just as much as the food was the service. There were three young employees working behind the counter who appeared far more engaged in conversations with each other than interacting with customers. There was no greeting, no welcoming atmosphere, and no effort to explain or recommend items from their menu. For a first-time customer, the experience felt indifferent and uninterested. The gaming kiosk tables are unique and appear to be a major feature of the business. However, I left with the impression that much of what customers are paying for is the gaming setup rather than the quality of the food, drinks, or service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. There are many other boba shops and popcorn chicken spots that offer better flavor, better value, and better customer service at similar or lower prices. Given my visit, the numerous glowing reviews don't reflect the experience I received. I came in expecting a highly rated destination and left wondering if the ratings are based more on the gaming tables than the food and drinks themselves.

RANG Final…read moreThoughts: 4.50/5 Review for Rang. They have weekly matcha pop ups at Rose Tea Lounge. Original location is in Elk Grove, but they are here in San Jose area. Kind of hard to see and find them? given that there aren't really any signs posted outside. I perhaps wouldn't have known about it if my friend didn't tell me about it. Drink: Guava Matcha Einspanner: 4.5/5 This is their matcha with house-made guava puree at the bottom and topped with silky guava foam. Their foam is so nice and creamy. Felt very light and just thick enough. Silky consistency that mixed well with the drink. My friend noted that they make it fairly sweet, so I opted for the 25%. This was still quite sweet for me. Each component is sweet itself, so when you combine it, its mostly just sweet. No tartness to cut any of it. Perhaps the guava has something to do with that. Guava is a sweet fruit in general, so I seemed to expect as much. The matcha itself had a nice color to it. Very vibrant. Light bitterness. Lovely consistency overall. I like each component separately and I like them together when it's fully combined. Strawberry Matcha Einspanner: 4.5/5 This was my friends drink and I also really liked it. Had to try it for my review purposes. Per their Door Dash description, this is their matcha latte with their home-made strawberry puree and topped with velvety strawberry foam. There really wasn't much of a difference with this one and mine besides the fruit. His was slightly more tart than mine, which is something I like. Again, the drink itself leans more on the sweet side, so any sort of tartness would be nice to cut some of that. Matcha color is amazing. Nice and vibrant. Lovely silky consistency. I like the ratio of fruit flavor and matcha. Some places will make it just taste like milk, others have an imbalance of flavors. This one was just right for me. --------- Quality: Ceremonial Matcha and whisked to order We saw them whisk the matcha to order. Not really a display cooking kind of counter, but they do do all of that in the front where the cashiers are. You are able to watch if you so choose. I do like the matcha that they use, so it seems like a high quality one. That or it's because they aren't batching their matcha like other places. I understand that batching doesn't make it lower quality, but something about whisking it fresh is always better. Price: Average Will depend on the drink, but the prices are around $7 to $9. For our drinks, average around $8.25 per drink. Quite a common price range for a cup of matcha. This one was made well, so no complaints here. There was no upcharge for the oatmilk, which is always a plus for us. Service: Whisked matcha fresh No interactions today. We ordered directly on the kiosk and then just waited for our drinks to come out. Something that I like is that they whisk and make the matcha in front of us. Kind of hard to see, given my height and spot that we were standing, but they do whisk it in the front for us. Of note, they use this hand towel or cloth to wipe the bowls. Not sure how sanitation does with that, but I digress. Just an observation for today. Ambiance: Quaint Flower Café Vibes This place is giving very quaint flower café vibes. I would totally work here if I could work from home or if I needed to study. Space is incredibly spacious on the inside contrary to how the outside and plaza area is looking. Little dim lit inside, but that might be from the little lighting that's hitting through the windows given the angle and evening sun. Location/Parking: Small Plaza This place is like a pop-up/collaboration with Rose Tea Lounge. There's really no label for it outside of the storefront, but when you go into the café and on the kiosk, you can directly order from them. Kind of interesting how it works and I probably would have never seen it if my friend didn't bring me here. Location is not the best as it is right in a smaller plaza on the side of Story Road near the 101 freeway. At least they chose an area that is slightly less saturated. Vietnam Town is really close by and they really do have too much going on over there sometimes. Parking lot is also small, but it seems to work well with the smaller plaza size.
