We stumbled upon this place on accident, but we decided to give them a try. It was a little confusing because both names Cotti Coffee AND Na Tart are above the door, but perhaps it's a partnership of sorts. I couldn't really figure out from the store itself, but the first thing you see are egg tarts. Then you see they also serve beverages. The store itself is small with no seats OR tables available. They do have a kiosk you can order at but most just ordered at the cash register, myself included. The lady's English wasn't the best. She seemed to work on key words based on the menu and further questions sort of went over her head, but the man working with her would step in if that happened when he noticed it. They specialize in Portuguese style egg tarts but they also put a spin to it with all sorts of flavors. They use butter so the egg tarts are vegetarian other than one flavor they had at the time that contained pork floss. While there, they had a steady flow of Filipino customers which I thought was interesting. I admit I was lured in by the street sign they had advertising durian egg tarts. Color me intrigued! My husband was more disgusted, but I got him something more "palatable", haha. We ended up getting: DURIAN EGG TART: the description mentioned raspberry but I only got a tiny spot of it. You CAN smell the durian but it's only a dollop on top of the egg tart. The durian is NOT throughout the entire treat. Having said that, you can still taste it and perhaps it makes it less pungent for those who may not be the biggest fans of the controversial fruit. My daughter and I enjoyed this. UBE EGG TART: same story, different paste topping. I only got a bite of this and my husband stuck the entire thing in his mouth and ate it in one bite. Again, good flavors but the added flavor is only in the topping. It is good. My husband got a HOT AMERICANO (pretty standard, he said) and I got their fancy looking PAMPAS CREMA JASMINE LATTE. It comes with a pretty clue color at the bottom and a coffee looking color on top. First off, I couldn't taste one lick of jasmine. The coffee is very milked down. This was a very "okay" drink. I was not very impressed. An important thing to note: the egg tarts are served cold. They were also placed in a single bag, not boxes. Or at least that was the case with our two egg tart purchases. It was somewhat awkward trying to push up one at a time and NOT squish the filling. Though they tasted good, they could have tasted exponentially better if warmed and crispy/flaky. Overall, both sides warred within me but I do like this place despite the downfalls. The drinks? Not so much. There are so many other places to go to for a caffeine fix.

Mouth watering egg tarts, unique flavors, amazing staff, adorable shop, what more do you want? We stopped in twice over the weekend. Each time, the staff were super friendly. Each time, they had a display case of the most yummy egg tarts I have ever seen and they taste even better. I love how they use high quality ingredients like butter instead of lard for their tarts and when you bite into one, the tart shell is perfectly flaky, while the filling is so smooth, delicately sweet, and easy to finish quickly and want more. So far, we have tried the original & the taro & salted egg custard. Both are incredible. We are now fans, happy they opened up in Chinatown, and look forward to trying all of the new flavors they come up with.

The most buttery and delectable egg tarts I've every had. I got the original. Get it warmed up... taste like it came right from the oven. Nice flaky crunch with a cream sweet warm center. A must try!

Na Tart is a cute bakery that lured me in with its bright orange sign. I wanted something for dessert. What a treat! Service was friendly and efficient. I ordered a taro salted egg yolk tart that was flaky, buttery, and Oh SO GOOD! The sweet taro filling was not too sweet and the salted egg yolk offset the sweetness. It's a to-go shop so no seating or tables. Loved every crumb! Worth the calories! 5/5

For the road, you can stop by here and grab egg tarts. Doesn't seem to encourage much dining-in, since there's no seating available. I loved the durian egg tart! Usually for that reason I feel like I'm on an island, but if you like durian, you'll love what they whipped up here. The durian is incredibly fresh and I liked how they torched the top for some smokey flavor. I'll come back to try other tarts!

The ube cheese egg tart from Na Tart is delicious. The mango coconut frappe was very very different and I would probably not order it again. Hospitable service and a one of a kind ambiance.

4.3 and rounded up for creativity and service. This ain't your mama's Portuguese pastel de nata! Located in Chinatown on Bayard street, the location is a small shop, basically a room with a pastry display, ordering counter, and kitchen in the back. They offer (surprise) baked custard tarts, though the surprises are the varied Asian-inspired flavors and fillings. As a boutique dessert shop, their array of options showcase some unique takes on this classic baked treat--think ube cheese, durian, espresso, taro with salted egg yoke, mochi, creme brûlée red bean. They also have sunflower tarts, which are larger in size and feature a flaky layered tart shell. I got a soy milk black rice sunflower tart $6.25--creamy filling with sweet black rice in the middle, perfect level of light sweetness, the crispness of the shell impressed me and held up well to the filling inside without getting soggy. Though I ate it at room temp, after reading the other reviews sounds like a proper oven reheating is in the stars! The custard to crust ratio was solid and while this pastel wasn't necessarily the best overall I've ever had, based this experience I'll to be back to try a six-pack of other flavors. The staff member at the counter was very very helpful and friendly! He answered my questions about some of the ingredients, and the difference between the sunflower and regular tart. When I took my tart to go, he gave me an extra paper baggie so that the crumbs didn't fall out into my bag. Planning my next visit!

These were delicious and sooo worth the stop. It was hard to find as our maps kept sending us past the actual location. The door is small and has a few steps up to get inside. We ordered via the kiosk and it was very easy to use. We ordered a 6 pack and paid about $22. Waited about 2 or so minutes and our order was called out when ready. The inside is very small but we managed to grab a spot at one of the counters. Here we ate one each and hung out for a bit. The egg tart was soooooo good. It was warm, spongey, and not dry and I loved the caramelized texture at the top. Totally recommend this spot! I wish I could have some right nowwww :(

Classic Durian and Ube Cheese Egg Tarts

Proclaimed as the egg tart lab, Na Tart experiments with unique flavors and succeeds. While their traditional (Portuguese style) egg tarts are tasty, I would mainly come here for the specialties. Many other spots around for basic tarts (I'd recommend Taiwanese Tarts!) I don't care for durian much, but friends and family who do like durian, enjoyed the Classic Durian Tart. I tried the Ube Cheese and while I enjoyed it, I think I would've preferred a full on dessert one as the cheese makes it more savory. There was an excellent cheese pull though.

These were some yummy some egg tarts! The inside of the egg tart was warm and the outside was flakey and crisp.. The location was clean. They have two small standing tables along the wall where we ate our tarts.

    Ube Cheese Egg Tart

A unique Asian spin on Portuguese egg tarts! I had the pleasure of trying one of their Ube Cheese Egg Tarts which were nothing like the egg tarts I've tried at other places. Served so hot and fresh, these melted in your mouth and had a unique yet subtle Ube flavor from the dollop on top. The staff was friendly and excited to share their creations with clients. I'd highly recommend this shop and hope to return.

    Melody C.

My friends got a dozen na tarts for a gathering, so I finally got to try the Portuguese tarts from here. The Asian flavors were what I was most excited about but they're too subtle. Except for the durian, we couldn't tell which was what. However, the crust is certified flaky - just the way I like it. I think taste wise, it's on the same level as good Portuguese tarts from regular Chinese bakeries.

5 star for the durian egg tart that I think about almost everyday! I can't recommend enough!! They also have other interesting flavors and seems like they were different everyday but my parents were only interested in the durian egg tart...

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
