Pedicure do not recommend I booked an appointment and it took 1.5 hours. The guy helped me and did not do a good job. Another person had to finish the job. They are nice but this is suppose to be a relaxing experience one works for oneself. I will not go back. Lastly, they charged me 45 which they added themselves a tip. I seen her pull her $5. Well, it's been 14 days since I've been there due to the coronavirus. My names still look fabulous. I get a combination of different processes on my nails in order to reshape the nail bed. Mai makes it absolutely perfect. I've never had a nail come off, chip, or break. I've also had wax removal and my 36 year old son gets massages and facials there. He loves it. I like the wholesome atmosphere. The heart of the business is Mai, yet many of the employees also are welcoming with their big smiles. The customers are also very nice. I think it's important to have the combination of excellent workmanship, relaxing and inviting atmosphere and nice employees. A tree blocks their sign, so it may be hard to find their salon, but it's worth it. They are next to a dog groom business. They have great parking (which is another great quality). There is a second hand store nearby so if you have to wait, do a little shopping. It all makes for a nice afternoon. read more

Love the service but the price wasn't what I expected. The gel mani is $35 alone and the deluxe pedi is $18. When I called , I was quoted $35.21, but when I leave I was charged $56 total. By far one of the best experiences I've had at a nail salon. Preparing for vacation and came six hours just to have my nails done here because my sister said they are the best in town. Chloe was so patient and attentive... She told me from the start that the design I chose may or may not work. She was willing to try it anyway, and when it wasn't to her standards she took it off and started all over again. I Can't express how much I appreciate her attention to details, and also how much I love these nails. Very disappointed by this place. I went in for a simple polish removal, nothing more. The tech had to go through 4-6 rounds of dremel and soaking to get the dip powder off and eventually got frustrated and CUT MY NAILS. I came to a professional to save the length and not damage my nails and I left with very short jagged nails. To top it off, they charged $10 for this service- no manicure, just polish removal cost $10 I have very thin brittle nails that I bite and they were the longest they have ever been so I'm super disappointed all around and should have done it myself. read more

Good pedi but the gel polish on my mani seems so cheap and feels horrible!! they also did my moms nails(acrylic) which we didn't like and told mai , she said it was because of her nail shape keep in mind she's also gotten her nails done many times and have never looks so ugly ! I use to come here, back in the day when I was in middle school. I would always do a pedicure and my eyebrows (when Helen was there) ever since Helen left I haven't gone back, yesterday was the first time in a long time I went back and the quality of service was horrible. No deep cleaning to my feet were done, cuticles were still there and the paint job was crappy. Looked like my 7 year old niece painted them. The same utensils the lady used on my sister feet were the exact same she used on me for my manicure. She didnt grab new ones or even disinfect them. That just nasty. I should call the department of health on them. My manicure was a nightmare, cuticles were still left on there and all my nails where different shapes.. also the total was 35 dollars for a pedicure and manicure. A manicure with no color. I pay cheaper than that were I normally go and I get spa pedicure and gel manicure. Never coming here again. Don't come here unless you plan on getting a shitty job done. Theres also no price banner or bulletin, so she can price you whatever she wants you wouldn't be able to complain because theres no sign telling you the prices. Sneaky, I don't like that. If I could give it no stars I would. I wouldn't even reccomend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Nice little nail spa nestled in the hills (so to speak) of Altadena just a mile from our home. It was Grandma's birthday dinner and both deb and I had horrendous nails after many weeks of climbing, adjusting, housework, and just regular wear and tear. I called to see if it was busy and they said not very. On arrival we waited a good 20+ minutes to start services and they took Deb first leaving me just a chilling. I was my turn next and I got both mani and pedi. They seemed to have regulars and where very friendly. I noticed a girl I knew from my school there working and she said her sister owned the shop. They both managed to be friendly and do a professional job. Although the entire experience was pleasant Deb ended up having to wait nearly 45 minutes until she got started on her pedi and the price was a bit higher than we were used to for these services. Over all good but for the two of us mani and pedi totaling $68 was a little high for us. Likely we will be back but not as regular as we should at these rates. 3.5 Stars read more

It was my first the worst experience ever. I went out from this salon very disappointed and almost cry. They destroyed my nails and did terrible job. This is an old school service and they use old technology to make a manicure. I DO NOT recommend this place at all to nobody!!! I couldn't watch how they remove my previous gel from my nails. The lady scraped my nails with a metal tool and damaged the top layer of my all nails and they became uneven, painful and out of shape, and she broke one of my long nails. Then they covered it with a gel and felt that the job was done. It looked terrible and I have to redo it. This is a very unprofessional job. I personally do professional manicure myself and my mistake was that I entrusted my nails to non-professionals who have no idea how to do a beautiful manicure. And the worst things - they even not apologize for it and did charged the money for this crazy job. read more

I went in again because of convenient location the other day, plus the fact I walk out with a great looking mani-gel/pedi, was pleased to find they now allow services on credit cards, but as always was struck with the slightly tawdry look of the place. I found this place 6 months ago when the nail shop I'd been going to for 30+ years changed owners. I went to a couple other shops before I found this one. My first visit there, I felt like a valued customer. Mai scheduled an appointment. I showed up and got a fill and pedicure. She did a phenomenal job and for the first time ever, I did not have the fill residue under my nails in the crevices. Up to then, I always had some residue that took a few days to get rid of. So, kudos to Mai!! AND the fills last and do not lift. I get my nails done once a month and between fills I do yard work, dishes, cleaning, painting, you name it and my nails DO NOT LIFT!! Honest! I'm a regular at Nails 3000! The ladies who work there are so friendly. They always greet me by name and ask me how school is going. They do good quality work for a reasonable price. Specifically, I get a manicure, pedicure, and callous removal for $27.00 plus tip. You can't beat that! Plus, my nail polish usually stays on my nails the full two weeks, because they use a special top coat that prevents chipping. Another bonus is that the manager of the shop, Mai, stays on top of the latest trends in nail color. When charcoal gray nail polish was in style last fall, she gave me several options of different grays to choose from. In summary, Nails 3000 stands for good quality, reasonable price, and they'll always have you in fashion. What more can a girl ask for? read more

I've been to Nail 3000 a few times based on Yelp reviews, and honestly don't know what all the hubbub is about. The place is really small and not relaxing at all. If you aren't a regular, the ladies (and gentleman) tend to give an attitude, and the polish selection isn't that great. Parking can get crowded in the tiny lot and I felt a little rushed each time. They also only take cash. The only reason they get 3 and not 2 stars is that there isn't another nail spot near that location and it's pretty convenient if you need to get a mani. I'd rather plan ahead and go someplace else though. read more

FANTASTIC! I went here with my mother yesterday (she is visiting from Seattle). I have not found a GREAT place around Altadena to get my nails done and I have been here a while. This place I will FOR SURE go back to! They were very nice, and trust me, they had to be. I have been gardening either barefoot or with flip flops on the entire time my mother had been here, as well as the weeks before she got here, oh my poor feet look like tires... (ew). Now they look like soft baby skin, they feel great, my toes are super cute with their french (freedom??) manicure ... tehehe... and we also got super massages! The price was fine, 19 for a pedi, 22 for a french pedi, an extra 10 if you want a long massage (which was 10 bucks totally well spent I tell you what!). But be sure you take CASH, as they do not take cards. This review is purely based off their eyebrow waxing. I was searching for a new place to get my eyebrows done when my friend recommended I come here. Let me just tell you, I am so in love! People ask me ALL THE TIME who does my eyebrows and I send them to Mai and Judy!! For $8 (plus tip) Mai is usually busy when I come in so Judy always hooks me up! I love her! She always does them perfect and she will listen to how you want them! I highly recommend growing your brows out as much as you can and then getting them waxed, the shape comes out amazing! I was a walk in and was asked if I could wait 15 minutes. I just wanted a pedicure so I said ok. After 35 minutes of waiting, I had to get back to work and could not sit and wait anymore! I left, the lady was really nice and felt really bad.
