Prices are reasonable, and I can usually get in within a day or two. But they do have lots of regular clients. My "daughter in law" and I love all the ladies and feel so special and pretty when we get out! BTW, it is a little tricky to find for new people. It is where El Cajon and Montezuma meet. It's between Fatoush Greek Restaurant and the Speedy Cash check cashing. If you know where Ralph's is, that is across the street on 67th and Montezuma! Other landmarks all on the corners of El Cajon and 67th are Pep Boys, Starbucks, and The Daily Grind Cafe. DIRECTIONS: Heading east on Montezuma you will turn into the last parking lot before the light at El Cajon, after the Apts. If you miss that turn, make the right turn onto El Cajon. The parking lot runs between Montezuma and El Cajon. If you are on El Cajon going east, you need to make the U Turn at Montezuma. Heading west on El Cajon go through the intersections for 67th and Montezuma, but be ready to turn right into that first parking lot! You will be able to see the sign as you approach. Granted, being located at the exact most eastern point where El Cajon Boulevard meets Montezuma Avenue, getting in and out can present some unique challenges, but the effort is more than worth it. I discovered the place on NextDoor after complaining about my last and final pedicure at Adams Avenue Nail Bar. (Fantastic nail technicians (ask for Tiffany), shitty management). Someone recommended Nails Expression, so I gave it shot. Best. Decision. Ever. Didn't have to spend an hour of my day there, didn't have to pay for a bunch of extras that, while nice, are not always what I want, got a first-class nail manicurist, Lynn, and the prices are beyond extremely reasonable. They do take walk-ins but I would recommend making an appointment. I have never not gotten one at the time I requested. read more

The wax was not at all hot enough, making the process unnecessarily painful. The worst part was how DIRTY it is. (See pictures). My senses told me to leave when I was taken into the filthy back room but sadly I lost my nerve. Then I was charged 25 DOLLARS FOR AN UNDERARM wax????? Sandy did my gel mani and pedi and she was amazing! The color choices are gorgeous too, she was attentive to the color painting & gave me an extended hand massage. Loved this location! They were super friendly... They have an awesome selection of nail color powder, gel, and regular nail polish. It looks brand new and the quality seems amazing so far. I got a full set with color powder and a regular pedicure with callous removal. The pictures say it all! They are so cute and I love the color. The nails looks sharp and I think it was great execution. They aren't super thick and they go right up to the cuticle. The pedicure was basic but great for the price! It was 18 + 5 for the callous removal and I would've paid 30 for the quality. I don't know how long I can add how impressed I am with this nail salon. Pictured gel manicure is over 2 weeks old! I swam, wash my hands constantly and use alcohol gel 20 times a day. This manicure won't quit! What witchcraft is this? Vicky was great to take me as a walk in on a late Sunday afternoon when my usual place was too busy. I think I'm a convert now! Finding a nail salon has always been a problem for me because my cuticles grow out very fast and every time anybody has tried to cut them, they never get all the cuticles trimmed and they end up growing out faster than normal. For anybody that has issues with their cuticles and can never get them trimmed properly or are left unsatisfied with how they look after a manicure, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming to Lynn. I have been seeing Lynn since high school (close to 8 years now) and I have never had someone trim my cuticles as amazing as she does. In addition, she is extremely sweet, humble, and takes her time when working on your nails and makes sure you are 100% satisfied with how your nails look. Her work is consistent, and when I go somewhere else for convenience or a quick fix, I instantly regret not waiting for Lynn to fix my nails for me. So I booked an appointment here before my vacation in Vegas when I arrived I started with a pedicure and I asked the woman if she be able to do the style based on the picture I provided below. they said they could do it and so I waited and got a gel French tip that I desired and told them I wanted my nails to look exactly like the picture. when she began my nails I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but she carved them in a way I've never seen before. I requested them long just like the picture but as she was going they told me they'd have to charge me more if I wanted them to be long, how could you charge me more when this is clearly a style that you've never done and the nails already look like shit???? For a gel pedicure and these shitty gel nails they wanted to charge me over $100 I told him I only brought $100 (gel pedicure sign said 35$) so she cut my nails lower and left them looking like this. On my vacation I had to go pay to get my nails redone, these are one of those places that don't really give a shit about your nails and don't know how to do them they'll say yes to any style you show them just to get your money, I will not be coming back. My boyfriend and I just had pedicures done here. Mine with polish, his without. I was very impressed with the service. They were able to get us in same day, last minute, and do both of our pedicures at the same time. We just did the basic pedicure ($21, not sure if it was a "spa" pedi or not, I don't think it was) and it was one of the best ones I've had. They didn't skimp with the leg massage at the end (which many places do) and my toes turned out super cute. My boyfriend was happy with his treatment as well. We will definitely be back in the future and will be trying some of their more delux spa pedicure packages. read more

I figured, ehh I have nothing else to do, I'll grab a starbs and wait. Because I waited so long, they didn't charge me for a matte top coat! After the first set, I planned on taking them off because it was just for a special occasion (my 21st). I've been coming back here to Megan for months now, and I can't get myself to take them off! My nails are suuuper weak and flaky, so acrylics usually fall of by themselves within a week. They have never fallen off, and I have waited as long as three weeks to get them filled. The quality is superb. Megan is perfect and meticulous and best of all, she speaks perfect English! She completely listens to what you want. The lady was nice but her massage just felt like she was touching my legs. $16 was fine for her service and I left a $4 tip on my card to make it an even $20. I just checked my card bill, somehow I was charged $22 and she gave herself a $6 tip which does NOT make me happy, especially since the service was alright and not great. Pay in cash if you go there....otherwise check your bill to make sure they don't overcharge you and I won't be there again. I'd say I'm satisfied 80-90% of the time, and like any salon find that depending who you go to and sometimes how busy or not busy they are may determine how well the manicure or pedicure is. They have a decent selection of OPI but honestly found one of the non name brands polishes to last over 2 weeks. Still searching for the best spot but for now they are my go to. read more

Love this place! The location is not the prettiest, but that's fine with me. I've come here twice and have gotten the best mani/pedis ever. My was the first one that I worked with. At that time, she had to take off my acrylics. I hate that moment, but My did it so slowly and gently that I barely felt anything. All others that have taken off my acrylics have made me jump out of my chair or wince out of pain. Everything worked out well. After two weeks, my pedi still looked perfect, but my mani didn't. Decided I'd come back in today to get a mani/pedi again. My pedi was still good, but I didn't want my hands and feet two be two different colors. Yen worked with me this time. She was such a perfectionist! =) Everything was perfect. I'm just hoping that i can keep my manicure longer this time. Mani/ reg pedi costs $20 + tip. Mani/spa pedi costs $23. The only difference between regular pedi and spa pedi is the chair that you sit in. If you don't need the big massage chair, go with the regular pedi. Good OPI selection. I just wished they wouldn't take the name/color off the bottle, so that I could remember what pretty color I was using. I came in today to get a new set of claws by Vicky. Prior my appointment, I tried to remove some of my acrylic nails on my own, but didn't do so well. I accidentally removed too much of my own nail on one of my fingers. I mentioned to Vicky what I had done and I told her it felt a little sore. She asked if I still wanted to add a new set and I said yes. She took extra care to gently file and prep that one nail for new acrylics. I love my new set (as always)! Vicky does an amazing job and takes the time to make sure all nails are even, straight, and perfect. I'm very OCD when it comes to my nails, so any imperfection makes me want to pick at it. But after Vicky is done I don't have to worry about anything. My mom used to do my pedi back home before I moved to college and I am extremely picky about my pedis considering I know what needs to be done in a basic pedicure and that I am not fond of my toes.
