I swear I've reviewed Naja's, somehow I guess not. This is a classic hole in the wall bar with countless draft beers on tap, which they have been doing for LONG before having lots of craft options became popular. FYI, during the day it's NOT 21 and over, kids are allowed as they also have a limited food menu. You will find 90% locals and 10% tourists, which is because this bar is on the Marina level of the Redondo Beach Pier and it's kinda hidden in the far corner, unless you are looking for it. On several occasions I've had fun encounters with local boat owners who come topside to get a beer at Naja's. Why I like this place? It's 'real' and not pretending to be anything other than a friendly place to have a beer. They have numerous televisions and plenty of tables inside. I like that you can push up against the outward facing windows which are always open, and see into the marina, or talk to a passersby on the lower level. Come for the beer and friendly service. Being a hole in the wall it's not super clean (it's not dirty either!), and you sometimes catch a whiff of marina smells that are less than desirable. Naja's has been an 'institution' in Redondo for many, many years! read more

I knew Naja back in the day - over 30 years ago. His place was quite unique and could be counted on for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Everyone was friendly and you could let your hair down and chill and laugh and just go with the flow. Haven't been there in decades - I hope it's still the place I have described above. If you want to have a great day, rent a bike from Marina Bike Rentals (close by), and in the late afternoon after your ride, head to Naja's for a casual dinner and plenty of beer. There might still be a belly dancer thereabouts. (But that's a story for another day! :-) read more

This place has gotten more lame every time. Live music ended right before 1am...they turn on the jukebox and skip songs people paid for, play one song of their choice and turn off the jukebox. By 1:05 the ambiance is dead even though they close at 2am. F*** this place! read more

They are open during COVID They set up a closed off outdoor area on top of the pier. Lots of umbrellas. For shaded area. It's really nice. They have a limited food selection. Beers is a limited selection. A combination of beer on tap and cans. A mixture of local beers and typical beers. Naja's Place is simply the best beer bar in South Bay. It's not because of their vast beer selection. It's the overall vibe and laid back atmosphere. Located north of the Redondo pier on the lower level, Naja's looks out to a small harbor. Though fun anytime, it's ideal in the afternoon when the sun is shining into the bar. With a large entrance right off the sidewalk, it's easy to find. The bar is very open, with many areas having just railings to separate the bar from the sidewalk. Once you enter, the bar is immediately left. Several round high top tables with round padded bar stools are to the right. There's a pool table beyond the tables. Most people just order a beer from the bar, then take a seat at one of the tables or socialize in an open area. However, there is a small bar behind that beer bar where you can sit and be served by a bartender. The bar top is a white marble with a back bar that functions to serve beer. The ceiling is decorated with numerous old bar taps, while the walls mostly contain beer signs and a few TVs. I've never eaten at Naja's, so no comments on the food, but otherwise, this place is perfect. Lots of beer, fun, lively atmosphere, and friendly staff and patrons. I cannot wait to be back in South Bay to visit OB's, Ercole's, and Naja's, three of my favorite bars on earth. read more

Naja's is nostalgic for me, as I was introduced to it about 25 yrs ago by a very close friend who has since passed. Since then, I've probably been about 5 times, and generally enjoy myself. Beers from major breweries around the world (circa 1992) have given way to craft beers from small brew houses, to which I'm generally neutral-to-reticent. Still, the place remains the same, and I really enjoy sitting at an open window and watching The Game of Life. Regrettably, my last trip was spoiled by a decent band that had their speakers/amps set to 11 . . . a nice Sunday afternoon catching up w/ an old buddy turned into an "I CANT HEAR YOU, CAN YOU YELL A BIT LOUDER?" exchange. I absolutely love this place. It's my first time in years and its still the same..even after a rough couple years for businesses everywhere with lockdowns due to the pandemic. It felt amazing to sit down and drink a beer, and look at the ocean, the boats, catch a beautiful sunset while listening to good tunes. I love that it's still the same laid back bar I've gone to for years. With about 50+ different beers to choose from, I don't think anyone can ask for more. Also be sure to check out their IPA festival when they have it. Always a good time. read more

Naja's, where the fun goes to die... We got married at a hotel in the area, and we looked around for a bar that was walking distance from the venue, and open late. Boom Naja's was one of the only places around. Therefore, we decided to host a meet up on Thursday night at Naja's, for anyone in town for our wedding. This was mainly due to the fact that this would be our after hours wedding bar on Saturday. If it wasn't for this, we would have chosen somewhere else without a doubt. Most of our friends and family could not understand why we picked Naja's for the get together, they were not impressed. Dirty, only beer and a few bottles of wine and that is it. They do have a good selection of beer, except they were out of the only beer my husband and I wanted (Pliny the Elder). Either way, we had the meet up there. While we were there that Thursday, I talked to the bartender and explained that our wedding was that Saturday night and we were telling people to come to this spot after. The bartender replied and said that it is pretty common for weddings around the area to do this and he happily confirmed they will be open until 2am on Saturday night. Cut to our wedding night, reception ends around midnight, 12:30am by the time everyone gets out of the venue. Whoever is left makes their way over to Naja's which was about a 10 minute walk. I am in my wedding dress still along with our mom's, uncles, wedding party and wedding guests. When we arrive, they refuse to serve us because we are apparently too intoxicated. I know that this is their job and I understand when it is necessary, but they denied the majority of our wedding guests before we were barley in the door and I know not everyone was intoxicated to the level of denial... If Naja's is used to handling wedding groups, I would imagine those crowds are very similar to our group. People that are having a good time, drunk of course, after midnight, after a very fun event, on a Saturday night, hoping to keep the good times going. Overall, my groom and I were extremely sad that we gave Naja's our business not one but two nights, only to get rejected after our amazing wedding, with wedding guests that did not want the night to end. It was a huge let down for everyone and a very sad ending to our perfect day. Naja's will never remind us of happiness nor a good time. Having any wedding related activity at Naja's is honestly one of my biggest wedding regrets after the way we were treated. Don't operate a dive bar if you cannot handle drunk folks on a Saturday night. Don't believe my story, take a look at the low rating reviews on Naja's yelp page. Attention Yelpers: This establishment is NOT open till 1am as advertised. Walked in at 11:30pm on Wednesday 9/11 and was unapologetically told that they were closed, and close at 12am (midnight). Pretty early for last call even if they were closing at 12a.m. There was still a couple of large groups still drinking there. A very Micky Mouse way of running a business. Why risk ever taking the time to go to this place late at night, never knowing if they'll be open or not? read more

While the atmosphere isn't much, you can't beat Naja's if you love beer. We hit this place quite a bit and we're lucky enough to go during their Modern Times beer fest and enjoyed a bunch of hard to find Modern Times beers. The place gets crowded so don't be surprised if it's standing room only when you get there and while it's open air, there's no outside seating. Food is great for bar food and service has always been good. If you're a beer enthusiast, you need to check this place out. By the way, if you hate paying for parking and don't mind walking a block, there's free street parking on Diamond and Catalina near the liquor store and you can walk through czuleger park. read more

While visiting Redondo Beach and Redondo Beach Pier, this Beer Bar is a must stop! Their tap-list is second to none and coolers are filled with rare and exotic beers. I have been to this establishment over 5 times in the last few years. Located on the first floor of the International Pier, the views of the ocean and Harbour are incredible from the bar. Naja's gives you a feel of a dive bar and has many locals/regulars who sit to the left side of the bar. Every time I visit, I get their Fish Tacos with a beer. They have live entertainment as well on certain nights (check their website for live-music). Even if you are in Los Angeles, I would go out of your way to visit Naja's if you are a Beer Geek! read more

The tables are sticky, the bathrooms smell like shit, the pool table is uneven, the food is all fried bar food, and the live music will drown out any hope for a conversation, but come on... it's Najas! If your looking for craft beer and a great place to kick it, this is the spot for you. 88 beers on draft (yup you heard that right 88) and another 30/40 in the fridges. Every style of beer you could want IPA's, Lagers, Ales, Sours, Stouts & Porters they even have your shitty bud and coors lite if you have to go there. They also have some good bar munchies if you get hungry and usually live music or Djs on the weekends. It's also located right on the boardwalk so people watching and the sights are front and center and it's also walking distance from the beach which just equals heaven. Parking: paid parking: parking structure. May get crowded on those nice summer nights or weekends. Service: you look at there long list of beers. I like my IPA's they are always a must. First time at this bar and The bar itself was good, the live music gave it a good vibe But after me and my friends decided to leave my friend closed his tab, but it seems like the bar didn't fully close it so while we were already gone the bar charged 2 more transactions in his card! This place has so many taps!!! I tried the Dude's Raspberry Wheat and it's a light fruity beer. It's about $6/per so not too bad. They have the game on the tv, a band playing with typical bar food fresh off the grill. Come hang out at the place it's a good spot. read more

Finally popped my Naja cherry. Probably a decade late. We've talked about going for a long time. Rode my bike over it on the way to the pier and never realized how close we were. Kind of embarrassed. But we went, we drank, and we donated our money to the OG craft beer bar in LA. 88 beers on the tap list. Not all slots were full but pretty close. You'd be hard pressed to not find a beer of your liking. In fact, the patron before us ordered a pitcher of Coors Light and 2 white zinfandels. Not kidding. They have every beer style imaginable on tap, but it was early and a triple IPA just didn't sound right. They offered tasters and I ended up with Coronado's "Salt Spray" sour gose and she got Oakland United's "Pride Not Prejudice" saison. It wasn't packed so we hit the tall table at the window and sipped, soaked in the sun, and people watched. Good times. Their selections are immense. The list was intimidating, but the guys behind the bar were accommodating. It was nice to finally visit. Live music was about to kick off. On our way back to the car after a walk on the pier, there was not a seat to be found. Packed so be advised. King Harbor has a tasting room a couple of shops down. I will not ride past the little strip again without at least stopping for one beer at Naja's. Who knows what you'll find on tap?! read more

I have not been to this place in 2O year's, but when I lived in the area it was my Favorite place to Roller Blade or Bike too on the weekends. The best Dive Bar in the area with a great selection of beers reasonably priced and decent food. The band was always rocking and a fun crowd. I have seen some bad reviews, but mostly snobby. Been going there for years and love the beer and atmosphere. Today Landsharks were better than ever. However, ownership continues to do a terrible job staffing the place. The beer lines are way longer than they should be and they rarely pick up empties or wipe down tables. They could easily hire 2 employees on weekends to fix these issues. Can't argue with the view of the pier. Can argue even less with IPA week. We only caught the tail end, but it's not hard to imagine what the beginning must have been like. The board is full of all sorts of beers I've never heard of, and despite them being out of my first five choices, Three Weavers makes a nice Knotty IPA, and my friends enjoy their selections as well. My family and I went there because of the high reviews. Parked 15 mins away. We were excited to try a new place. Sat down, waited for a while for someone to take our order. Turns out, they don't serve food anymore. Wish they change that on YELP that they are a BAR ONLY, they DO NOT serve food. I can't say that I'm a fan but I keep coming back. I think was brings me back is that .. well nostalgic feeling. It's an old spot worth visiting every now and then.
