It took a while to be seated but it was busy so it wasn't a big deal. The food arrived super cold. The chicken was lukewarm but everything else, like the rice was ice cold so I had to go to kitchen and ask them to microwave it. I ordered the lemon and herb flavor on the chicken but it was blah. I ended up adding the hot sauce and that was really good. When the waiter brought our food I asked him where the water glasses were because none were out and he pointed to a station without stopping but the station he pointed to had no glasses. Then after asking for my food to be reheated I asked that staff person where the water glasses were and she pointed to a station that also didn't have any so I returned to the first staff member and asked like hey everywhere I'm told to go there aren't any glasses, and he finally handed me some. I put in a second order for some chips and it took forever. I put it in minutes after my initial food order and we were done with our meals before the chips ever came. In fact the staff member clearing our plates had to go get the chips for us and I ended up taking them to go. I had the bowl and it was good. The tomato and cucumber salad is nice and fresh. The chicken thighs were tender. The cauliflower was not pickled enough and the Portuguese rice was good. Overall, I'd come back and try another dish and hope that service is a little better. Average place. So you go in and they seat you but then you have to order yourself on your phone. And then you also have to get your own water and utensils and everything. It's kind of confusing because they seat you but then they don't service you after that. ‍ and there were no napkins anywhere. So basically it's just chicken lol so you can get chicken with a sauce and then there's also more different huge bottles of sauce that you can grab and bring back to your table. I like the different options but most of them are pretty spicy!!! I do like a little spice but this was more than expected. The chicken itself is good. We got a half chicken for two people. A little dry on the inside. And it's not necessarily just the wing or just the thigh. It's like half a chicken so there can be a lot of bones. But plenty of portion and had leftovers. I got the mango lime chicken ranch salad thing and it was delicious I didn't leave a single piece, my friend got a bowl with medium chicken that came with rice and veggies and she seemed to have like it too! Stopped by for dinner on Friday evening around 5:30pm. There is plenty of parking since it's in a huge outlet area. The inside is also large with lots of seating, plus outdoor seating. The vibes and decor are really nice and you can tell it's new. The way to order is scanning a QR code and order with your table number. It's okay, but I do wonder about people without phones lol. We got our food pretty quickly and it was good. The hallumi was the best part in my opinion! Fries with ranch were also good. I thought our chicken wings in medium sauce were just okay. The food here is genuinely delicious, but the portion sizes have taken a serious nosedive. My last 2 recent times ordering takeout here have been the same experience. I ordered large sides to accompany a half chicken, and what I received was laughable -- the containers weren't even half full. For the price they're charging, this feels like a blatant ripoff. What they're calling a 'large' side isn't enough for even one person, let alone two. It's disappointing to see a place with great food cutting corners like this. If the portions keep shrinking, it won't matter how good the food is -- customers will stop coming. read more

When I first heard we were getting a Nando's in Houston I was STOKED. I had first tried Nando's in London and was quickly hooked on the simplicity of the concept as well as their flavourful dishes. It took me a second to get around to it but I was excited to finally try it out. There is PLENTY of parking around the restaurant so parking should never be an issue. When I walked in I was struck by all the modern colorful accents and decorations. This gave the place a lot of character and set the tone walking in that this is not your average chain restaurant. I would even say it felt subtly upscale The high ceilings and low lighting make this place feel spacious yet cozy and with a good amount of seating, we did not have to wait for a table even though it was close to the peak dinner hours. We were initially a little confused when we walked in because we didn't know if we should wait for a table or how to order but when the waiter took us to our table he explained everything perfectly. The ordering process was handled by scanning a QR code and ordering/paying through the website which I found to be very convenient. The food came out in under ten minutes and came out hot! I decided to go with the half chicken and a side of mac and sweet potatoes ($17.99). The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly, the skin was slightly crispy but inside the chicken was very moist. The sauce served on the chicken was a little sparse for my taste but they do have extra bottles of sauce available so I was able to adjust the amount to my liking. I enjoyed the two sides as well, the mac was very creamy while not being overpoweringly or sickeningly cheesy, with very good crispy breadcrumbs on top. The sweet potatoes were seasoned with a lot of peri peri and sesame which gave it an unexpected and subtle crunch that I enjoyed. My girlfriend ordered the Peri Chicken Rainbow Bowl ($14.99). All the ingredients included in the bowl were very good, the rice was perfectly cooked and flavorful, the chicken was on par with the chicken platter I ordered, the veggies were good, the avocado was fresh, the hummus was delicious, and I enjoyed getting to try different pairings of the ingredients and their various flavors within the bowl. I really enjoyed our dinner at Nando's and I would recommend giving this a try as a casual night out when you are craving grilled chicken or South African food that is simple yet done incredibly well for a very affordable price. read more

Been excited to try this place since it opened up but didn't live up to my expectations. Apparently Nando's a South African kitchen is huge in the UK with like 400 locations and quite a bit in South Africa and this location being their first Texas location. Honestly, I probably just ordered the wrong thing and went pretty basic cause I figured you can't mess up a chicken sandwich. It not that the sandwich was terrible but for the price and the size of it I expected more flavor. The mashed potatoes was really good and the garlic sauce option they give you was phenomenal. I heard about this place from a friend. Apparently, they are from South Africa but have locations all over the world. After stopping by for lunch, I can see why. The grilled chicken is the star here. It is absolutely delicious and just the right amount of heat. You can actually pick the level of heat that you prefer. I want to go back to try the chicken livers. They sound amazing. The staff was very helpful with walking us through the memu. Shelly, one of the trainers, was very hospitable. If Nando's could only clone her. All of their suggestions were on point. It was casual, and the speed of service was on point. Even though it's not full service, multiple employees stopped by to check on us and refill our water bottle. It's conveniently located in the Galleria area. My family and I will most definitely be going back. read more

Food was just okay. Was semi-excited to try Nando's after having a great experience in Washington DC years ago but sad to say probably not worth it as far as this location. For $15 you can get a single piece of chicken and two sides but the portions are quite small and service is lacking a lot. The servers that were there were very nice but they just look understaffed. Finally a Nando's in Houston. The restaurant was clean and food was great. The service staff was a bit unorganized and if eating on the patio you have to go inside and order your food and they bring it to you. You have to get your own plate and silverware along with your drinks. This made no sense to anyone sitting outside and the food did not come all together. The outside patio is about the same size as the indoor dining. I think it should all be full-service especially with the price you pay. read more

I have not been to a Nando's in years. I was so surprised that the chips taste exactly the same as those in South Africa. I loved their Brussel Sprouts, Cole Slaw and the Rubro Rooibos ice tea was a wonderful surprise. Service was amazing, the staff came around a number of times to see if there was anything we needed. Considering the 90 min wait to get in, I felt in no way rushed to hurry up, eat and get out. The atmosphere felt like home. I loved the music and the art on the walls. The price was very reasonable. This is my third time ordering from this location and haven't had issues with my food in the past. First time I ordered the Peri Ranch Crunch Salad for pick up. Food was ready and waiting when I got there. Upon my arrival at work I discovered my salad is wrong and missing ingredientes such as the crispy chick peas and croutons. My salad bowl was half full so not even a full salad and the salad that was in my bowls was limp and soggy. This business is just opening, and it is soon going to be a big hit. The price is reasonable for the amount of food you get. The waiters are all very nice, and they introduce themselves. They all seem like amazing people, and they care about their customers. The place is beautiful, and was very unique. The food was absolutely AMAZING, and I didn't have one thing that I didn't like. Their drinks are amazing, such as the lavender lemonade and the peach ice tea. There are tons of amazing sauces to try as well. The hummus is definitely worth your time, and so are the fries, but the corn is like none other. The best corn I've ever had, and I've had a lot of corn. The kernels are big and juicy, and there is not a small one on the whole corn. I took a picture of the corn to show how big and long the kernels are. The corn is my favorite here. Whenever we are in the area, there is no doubt in my mind that we take the time to come here, and we will also take the time just to drive all the way here. read more

Haven been to Nandos in London on 2 separate occasions in 2 different years, I was never disappointed. I was so excited to learn that we had one open up here. Unfortunately I was very underwhelmed. The service was wonderful, however, the chicken wings were so minuscule (less than 1/2 the size of the ones served in London) and too charred. In my opinion, because of the size of the wings, it was likely that cook could not utilize the same grilling formula to achieve the desired results. read more

I've been here twice now since it's opening. I'm an avid Nandos advocate, as I've been to many different locations across the world. My 2+ stars are for the workers here and the customer service. The staff needs training on how to work here bc it has put such a negative taste in my mouth. I had dined in with some friends and also placed a to go order at the same time to take home for my parents. I clarified with them twice that the second order would be to go and would not be dined in. Ten min later, that order is brought to the table plated. I'm annoyed bc I made to sure to clarify 2x already, but okay fine, mistakes happen. I nicely asked for it to be placed in a to go container and carry on with my meal with my friends. It's been half an hour now and my to go meal has not returned. When I go up to the counter to ask about the order, the guy at the counter tells me he can't help and that I need to find the worker who took the order. I'm sorry, but what? I have to go look for them? That's just lazy and rude staff. I had to walk around the restaurant where the girl was cleaning tables. She was really confused as she was asking if I wanted to place another order? I clarified AGAIN I needed my to go order and returned to my table. 2 min later, she returns with the same dine in plate! To be eaten inside the restaurant! What is going on here?? I will not be introducing this place to more friends bc it is not pleasant to recommend a place and then have so many issues be presented during your dinner for such a simple request. There's more peri peri places around Houston that have more professional staff to make the experience well worthwhile.
