I also purchased brand-new black lug nuts so the entire setup would look clean and finished. Unfortunately, the service experience was very disappointing. When the work was completed, my brand-new wheels looked like they had been handled very roughly. The lug nuts looked worn as if they were years old, and my center caps had visible scuffs and surface damage. It appears the wheels were treated very aggressively during installation. The service manager who took my order also did not seem to listen carefully to my requests about how I wanted the wheels positioned and mounted on the van, which caused confusion and delays. I had previously left them a low score, and this is an updated review. I gave them more business hoping that this time things would improve, but I am even more disappointed with the outcome. Overall, I feel that my investment in new rims and tires was not respected, and the service quality did not meet the standard I expected. I feel that the damage caused during service outweighed the value of the work performed, and I am very dissatisfied with the experience.

When I finally got to Discount Tire around 5:45 pm I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming attitude of every employee I encountered ... I expected them to be bummed and maybe not have a great attitude that a person (me) showed up so late, right before closing. It was a great experience and I am so appreciative that they not only got me back on the road but did it with a professional and uber courteous manner. I came in for a brand new set of tires all around for my Mazda 3. They ended up doing the ""balancing and alignment"" These Joes ended up adding more than 14 quarter-ounce weights on a single front wheel. They were basically chasing weight. Instead of thinking, "Hey, this is a red flag, maybe we should break down the tire and check if it's good," they just kept chasing it. I took the car home. Mind you, this is my lady's car, not mine. She gets on the highway and tells me she feels a rattle going past 50 mph. I take the car for a spin and feel the exact same thing. I take it back to these guys and tell them, "Hey, I noticed you have over 14 quarter-ounce weights on the front of a Mazda 3. This is a small car; that is completely out of the ordinary." They ended up doing it the "right way" and got the balancing done. I took it back on the highway, and it wasn't rattling anymore. Cool problem solved. Look, accidents and mistakes happen. When you're working out in the field in the Nevada summer, I understand people get tired, lazy, and have customers coming in non-stop. However, a couple of days after they fixed that little inconvenience, I took the car for another spin and noticed a new creaking noise. The car has fewer than 30,000 miles on it and is only two to three years old. So, I finally decided to bring it over to the Discount Tire on Sunset Road. These guys are the best; they actually know what they're doing. They aren't just a bunch of Joes--they're all in sync and know exactly what's going on. Immediately after I brought the car in, their technician checked it out and pointed out that the weights from the other shop were hanging out of the wheel instead of being placed on the inside. Now, that wasn't the cause of the creaking noise I was hearing, but the fact that another technician could immediately point out such unprofessional workmanship says it all. The quality of work at the Mark Street location is just incredibly poor. If I were you, I would take your money and bring it over to Discount Tire on Sunset. These guys know what's up, they don't waste your time, they tell it to you straight, and they will actually address any issues with you. They don't have junior apprentices or random Joes working on your vehicle. I don't know what is going on over at Mark Street, but they seriously need to get their technicians recertified. Taking two extra days just to get a full set of tires balanced and aligned is ridiculous. It should have been done right the first time. This is basic, standard work. They are a bunch of Joes over there and a complete waste of time.

When I…read morefinally picked up my car, I found out why: they had decided to run a full inspection on their own, without asking me, and came back with this whole report saying I needed a bunch of repairs, including a full brake pad replacement because apparently all my pads were measuring at 3mm. They even showed me pictures. I don't know much about cars, and I got the feeling they could tell, because none of it really meant anything to me on its own, they just expected me to take their word for it. That's when the pressure started. The sales staff were aggressive, trying to get me to agree right there on the spot, even suggesting I open a credit card with them to cover the repairs. They implied my car wasn't safe to drive unless I got it taken care of immediately. Between the price and the overall bad vibes, I said no. Later that same day, the salesperson actually called me to try to get me to bring my car back in. I took it to the dealership instead to get a second opinion. Turns out there was nothing immediately wrong with my car!!! Nothing wrong with the brake pads. The measurements provided by Tire Works were not even correct and I had almost paid for $3000 worth of car repairs that my car did not even need. Sadly I'd been subject to fear mongering and pressure tactics from the people at this Tire Works. If you want honest work and a real assessment of your car, do not go here.

After the new tires were installed, it immediately began wobbling at higher speeds, would not track straight, and felt unsafe to drive. What disappointed me most was the customer service. When my service was completed, the service manager (Andrew) seemed far more concerned with asking me to leave a positive review than explaining the results of the inspection. At no point did anyone go over the inspection report with me, explain any recommended repairs, or provide me with a clear understanding of what was supposedly wrong with my vehicle. The first time I heard about "several issues" was only after I returned because the car was driving worse than before. I even scheduled an appointment to have them inspect the problem I believed was related to the tire installation. I wasn't asking for additional repairs i simply wanted them to verify the wheel balance and lug nuts, since those are common things to check after new tires are installed. Instead, I was told by Shane, they were too busy and would have to wait an hour and a half just to perform those basic checks, despite having an appointment. I was also told that the lug nuts would definitely not be the issue and that they would check the balance on them. completely dismissing me completely and acting like he doesn't want to fix it. While I was waiting, I observed three employees in the service area. Two of them spent much of the time standing around talking to each other and vaping, while only one employee was actually working on my vehicle. My car sat with the hood open for around ten minutes before anyone even checked the balance of the tires. From a customer's perspective, it was frustrating to be told there wasn't enough time to look at my vehicle while employees appeared to have time to stand around instead of helping customers As a customer, I expected transparency and communication. If your inspection finds major suspension or steering issues, those findings should be explained before you're sent on your way not brought up only after you return with a complaint. Being asked for a five-star review before receiving that level of service left a very poor impression lol. To make matters worse, after the second visit, I'm now hearing noises and experiencing issues that seem to be coming from the front of my car. problems I did not have before bringing it in. I paid nearly $500 expecting nothing more than two new rear tires, and instead I left with a car that drives worse than it did before and now has even more issues. Whether or not every issue is related, this has completely destroyed my confidence in the service I received. I would never bring my car back here ever again. Which makes no sense? if you didn't have my appointment, how did you have my information to call me? And to try and play it off like you don't know anything is just crazy... Incompetence at its finest. Go anywhere else, some of the more recent employees look kind of lackluster and clearly the morale and overall experience shows it as well.
