I really like Valentino's but decided to try Napoli's for a change. I should have known something wasn't right with the pizza when the box was air light. The Margharita pizza (which is my favorite kind of pizza) was hella dry, barely any mozzarella and the mozzarella used was paper thin! Ok everyone calm your selves and listen because this is the truth. First off the food Food is exactly what you'd expect. It's a small corner restaurant with quick delivery. It's not some super fancy high priced cuisine. It's a pretty good corner Italian food nothing special but not awful. If your tired of constant fast food like whataburger or Taco Bell this is the place to go. Personally I get tired of eating the same thing over and over so this is a good cheap place to break that chain. The prices are very similar to fast food and you are getting better quality than McDonald's and chick-fil-a. Second the people ok first off the bald man, he's foreign so his culture and demeanor is different from our kiss-ass American culture. (This is for the other yelps off this restaurant I've read)He may come off to some sensitive people as rude but it's the same if someone had an Resting bitch face (RBF). He doesn't mean anything just being neutral. He's not overly friendly but not super mean. He said things like "thank you" when handing food over. The lady was nice too, she was just a typical waitress clocking in hours. Overall staff was fine, nothing that really stood out. Personally I hate overly involved waitress or waiters because I'm usually either in a conversation or eating. Just enough interactions to get a few refills is best for me. The place it's a little run down but it's not disgusting. If your there for just a quick meal then go there. Personally I rather pick up the food and watch neflix while eating it at the comfort of my own home. I would suggest calling in about 15-20 min early to order the food off the phone, then pick it up. Went to dinner there last night, place was dead. Wait staff were attentive and sweet. We started off with the calamari, good, light and crispy. Only thing is for almost 11 bucks we may have gotten 3/4 cup of it. Just not enough for the price. I had a dinner salad and it was not watery and the ranch was tasty. Service was terrible. There was me and one other table- maybe- not sure if they were employees or customers. My waiter was sitting chatting with them the entire time. One person came in to pick up a to-go order. So not busy. I received my drink, salad and bread. And then waited. And waited. And waited. I finished my salad. I continued sipping my drink. Then my cup was empty for 15 min. I tried getting the waiter's attention. I was exhausted, just coming off a 12 hr work day so I wasn't going to get up and go get him. Guess I should have. Another employee who looked a little more official came out with a plate for himself. He looked at me a couple of times but didn't say anything. Sat down to eat. Finally my waiter came and grabbed my glass. I asked how much longer it would be. He went into the kitchen area - which is visible to the entire restaurant and no one was there cooking- and went right over to a to-go order sitting on top of the oven and started opening it. The more official looking man went back there as well as another man who I assume was the owner bc when I asked for my check for the salad and drink he said it was no charge. The one man came and told me it had been a misunderstanding and they were working on it and then went back to eating his dinner. I understand misunderstandings and wouldn't have an issue except that I sat there, with my waiter sitting at a table talking, not checking on me, not refilling my drink, while my food sat. I sat there while no one else checked on me or my food or asked what I was waiting for. I had to be the one to ask about my food. The one I assume is the owned did offer for me to take it with me. I live 40 minutes away so I said no. Wasn't in the mood to take it home and deal with all that comes with it being cold by the time I got home. Went through a drive through and ate in the car on the way home. Not the relaxing dinner I had hoped for. I planned to eat my pasta there tonight and take a Stromboli home for lunch tomorrow. I thought they would be happy to have a customer as I already said how they were not busy at all. I try to support small businesses but this experience was extremely disappointing. read more

Chicken caesar salad is excellent, the right amount of dressing every time. Our boys love their pasta with butter sauce as well as the Chicken Madeira (didn't expect that). The food is so good. I get chicken Parmesan and it's great. The waitress we had the first time was wonderful. The 2nd time we had a blonde girl and she was very rude and inattentive. This is coming from a former server, I do not typically criticize waitresses. But there was nothing going on so I don't know why she felt the need to be rude, interact minimally, and not pay attention to her only table. Still, 5 stars for the great food. Hmmm... We were hoping for some good authentic Italian and always try the small spots. This one let me down a little. We loved being able to bring our own wine and the menu options looked pretty good. The chicken parm was disappointing; the cheese had to be cut through (wasn't melting or grated... just a hard blob of cheese) and the sauce was really watery like they didn't get the right mix of pasta water and sauce. We also ordered the Veal Toscana, and that was also disappointing. The veggies couldn't be done wrong, but the same watery sauce that wouldn't quite stick to the pasta. I think we should have gone there for pizza (that's what most of the patrons were ordering) so there might be another trip in our future. Our family comes here very often. It isn't a big restaurant or anything, but big enough. The food is so delicious. I'm the Italian food fan in my family, yet my parents love to come here. We like to get the olive oil dip to go with our bread (unlimited when ordering an entree). I recommend their lasagna, tortellini, chicken parmesan, or manicotti which are a couple of my favorites. Love everything about this place! Family owned, which I super love! We found it shortly after moving to the area in November and it has quickly become one of our favorites! I haven't eaten here since I was little until the other day and was not disappointed with how delicious the food still is. They have amazing garlic Parmesan rolls and this past time I enjoyed their baked cheese tortellini, which was delicious. I do remember their chicken Alfredo being wonderful too. All of the ingredients seem fresh and I didn't even leave in a coma state as is typical after eating Italian food. I highly recommend enjoying a meal here if you have that Italian food craving! It's very hard to find authentic Italian food in Texas most of it is just red sauce and meat whereas here you have a great selection that will satisfy most palettes. I only had 4 ravioli. Mediocre at best. My salad wasn't even cut up - huge pieces of iceberg lettuce a small tomato wedge and a banana pepper. It was just a sad presentation. Server was young and didn't know much about the menu and just seemed like she hadn't been trained to do much of anything. Rolls are plain and have no flavor. I ordered the oil thinking that would spice up the rolls but I had to just add some salt to it. Doubt I will be back. Really disappointed by the young servers with very little experience. Never got a check at the end of the meal. No happy smiley faces or concern about our experience there. It's an odd restaurant for sure. Don't expect a lot here and plan to be here at least an hour and you'll be happy perhaps. This is probably my favorite Italian restaurant in all of Rowlett. As soon as you walk in, you're treated like family. The wait is never long, the service is outstanding, and the food is out of this world!! The servers are always eager to make sure that you are well taken care of and you never need for anything here. We have ordered from Napolis pretty consistently over the last year. In the last 4 months every time we place an order at least one meal in our order is wrong. I asked them to confirm what I'm asking for they give me back exactly what I say to them and Asher me there's no problem. That being said again tonight I placed an order my husband went to pick it up and his order was wrong! This is not okay if your children answering the phone or whoever can't get it right the cooked can't read what's written or whatever something needs to change. And when you call and ask for the manager and get told he's busy that's not okay either. Won't eat there again nor will I choose one of the other Napolis whether they're related or not read more

I really enjoyed this place last time I went here! The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful, I had the Sausage Pizzaola Pasta with their delicious garlic rolls. The environment was clean, relaxing, and fairly quiet on a Wednesday evening. Prices are affordable for the portion sizes they give you, therefore you may need to even take food a to-go box home if you can't finish it all. My waitress was also nice and attentive, so that's definitely a plus. I would definitely recommend this place to family/friends and would personally come here again, I would say this restaurant is one of the better Italian restaurants around.
