    Small bites & sides menu

Served piping hot, the Doner plates here are a good sized meal for most anyone! I'm usually biased for chicken as that's a bit healthier than beef or lamb, but for once I decided to try just a little of the others.. But to stay on the good side of healthy, I requested less beef and lamb for more chicken, which was happily accommodated. Between then three meats, I enjoyed the chicken the best. Lots of basmati rice underneath. The side salad was a moist accompaniment to the drier beef and lamb . The salad was zesty with salad dressing served on the side in a little cup. All said, the meats were fresh but bland in flavor. Pro tip: don't ask for a free cup of water here. They won't do that. Boo.. decent hot and fresh food, but I prefer other Mediterranean styles as they tend to be more flavorful to me. Typical shopping mall food court ambiance if you can call it that.. echoey acoustics but reasonable seating all around.

I'd give the place a 3.5 star rating. I ordered their Lamb Beef Doner Wrap and throughly enjoyed it. However, my bf got their Grilled Kofte Plate and was just ok. We've had better kofte at other places, so wouldn't recommend getting this here. On the other hand, their lamb & beef wrap was flavorful and satisfied my craving of something a little healthier to eat.

Great food and great location, convenient and accessible at the mall, and the food was delicious, we had ground beef gozleme, berlin wraps and combo plate, couldn't believe how fresh and delicious the doner was on a weekday! Definitely worth the trip even if you don't need to shop!

    Dry chicken plate $20

One extra star because that girl gave great service! I got the chicken rice plate and it was a big portion of rice, 4 scoops, I counted. Ok amount of meat, problem it's super dry chicken. Thank god for the white dill sauce. I literally had to use 4 containers to add flavor and cut the dryness in order to eat it. It wasn't so bad I needed to throw it away l, but I don't think I'll be back. Price:$20 with tip tax

Chicken combo plate w baba ganoush, hummus, pita, chk over rice, salad, dolma. $17.99. Enough for 1 person.

I'd say overall 3.5-4 stars. Not bad for food court food. Had chicken combo plate w baba ganoush, hummus, pita, chk over rice, salad, dolma. $17.99. Enough for 1 person for 1 meal. Not enough to share. Not sure if we'd go back, felt like small portion for price.

The food here is great, the portion sizes are filling and the price is fair for the amount you get. The girl working here was friendly and took my order promptly. The other dishes are also great!

Nar Döner Salmon Plate - delish!

NAR DÖNER amid the bustling Stonestown Food court upstairs was a welcome surprise. Inundated with Asian food choices, wanted something different, and there stood Nar Döner! A Mediterranean grill featuring Turkish Döner food, dishes centered around vertically roasted meat, of lamb, beef, or chicken, slowly cooked on a rotating spit. Thinly sliced, the meat served most often wrapped in flatbread or pita, alongside fresh vegetables and flavorful sauces. Also used in plates and combos. Peruse the menu, order, pay and wait. Each order is individually prepped. I was focused on salmon today so I ordered the SALMON PLATE and was not disappointed. Plate arrived piping hot with grilled salmon on a bed of hot, fluffy rice pilaf, side of cool salad greens, onions, olives, pickles. Tzatziki sauce was outstanding, could have used more pita bread but I devoured the whole plate without complaint! Would definitely reorder! I was bereft to see I missed a whole showcase of BAKLAVA TREATS!!!! Next time! NAR DÖNER was a nice little bit of Mediterranean heaven while on a shopping respite. Will definitely return to try the famous DÖNER WRAPS!

Stonestown has several exceptional food options and we were hoping Nar would be a good addition to that list -however, our chicken doner wrap was very underwhelming and did not live up to the Stonestown standard. The wrap itself was very small given the price and the chicken was largely unseasoned and lacking in flavor. Definitely wish it came with some sauce options to enhance the flavor. Hope they revamp their menu and better their offerings soon!

I would've given them a three but I found a hair in my combo wrap....... The service was fine though not the register fault.

Stonestown has grown into a global food destination, and Nar Döner and Grill in the food court offers authentic Turkish eats. The highlight was, of course, the döner, a spiced lamb-beef mixture shaved from a rotating spit with plenty of fatty, crispy edges. This was served in a generous portion on top of rice, along with pita bread slices and a refreshing mixed salad of lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, red cabbage, red onions, and pickles. For those not feeling meaty, the Vegetarian Combo Plate came with a selection of vegetarian bites including hummus, baba ghanoush, two dolmas, salad, pita bread, and a borek (flaky rolled pastry stuffed with spicy potato). Most of the components were tasty (though I wish there were more hummus and baba ghanoush, which came in laughably small portions), but the borek was disappointingly dry and not the least bit crispy. Overall, this was a decent choice in Stonestown's food court, though not the best Turkish food I've had.

My family loves Nar Döner! I usually order for to go. The employees nice and friendly. Their beef döner plate is super tasty and always hits the spot. The portion is big enough for one person, and everything comes fresh and warm. We go back all the time!

Thank you for your response…read more To clarify, my frustration was never about a missing sushi roll. Mistakes happen, and I completely understand that restaurants can get busy. What disappointed me was the way my concern was handled when I called. Your attitude came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of feeling that my feedback was heard, I was essentially told to accept the mistake, be more understanding, and order elsewhere if I wasn't happy. You mentioned that your staff were busy because of the World Cup and wanted to watch the games. With all due respect, that is not a customer's responsibility. If an order was missed because employees were distracted by a soccer match, that is an internal management issue, not something customers should be expected to excuse. You also stated that you refunded $40. That is not accurate. We reported the missing item directly to Uber Eats, and Uber Eats refunded only the value of the missing sushi roll. We did not receive any additional refund from your restaurant. Again, I understand that mistakes happen. What I cannot understand is the lack of accountability and the poor attitude shown toward a customer who was simply providing feedback after receiving an incomplete order. After two separate orders with missing items, I was hoping for better customer service, not excuses. Unfortunately, your response only reinforced the concerns I originally had.

I am easily influenced when it comes to food. So when it was time to have dinner with the hubby, I suggested fried chicken. He was down, so I found a spot on the way home from SJ to SF. The app predicted it would take about 25 mins to prepare, but when I placed the order, they said it would only take like 10-15 mins, so I guess around that time at night, no need to leave ample time for takeout. I got two of their taste of KFC meals. I didn't know this at the time, but they are individual sides, so the smaller ones. I would advise against doing mash and gravy as separate sides. The mash was sooooo tiny. And the gravy container was larger than the mash. Feels like it should be swapped as you should have more potatoes than gravy no? The chicken was as expected. I got one bucket spicy and one reg. I likes the spicier one more since the batter wasn't as thick. There were not a lot of options for KFC along 280 closer to SF, so I'm glad this one is open late night. REVIEW #3788

I grew up with this place, and it's been a constant in my life for decades. My extended Chinese family loves it just as much, and it's still one of our go-to places when we're ordering burritos for dinner at my parents' house. I've been ordering the El Bronco burrito since I was a teenager, and to this day it's still my favorite. It's hearty, comforting, and consistently delicious. The chile colorado beef deserves special mention--it's rich, deeply flavored, and slow-cooked the way it should be. You can tell the food is made fresh and with care, not rushed or mass-produced. One of the things that really sets El Burrito Express apart from a lot of taquerias in San Francisco is the quality of the ingredients. Everything tastes fresh and clean--no heavy grease, no weird aftertaste. The rice is fluffy, the beans are well seasoned, and the meats are always satisfying. I also appreciate the variety here. Whether you're craving carne asada, carnitas, pollo, chile verde, chile colorado, or even vegetarian options, there's something for everyone. The tortillas are warmed properly, the burritos are wrapped well, and you actually feel full after eating one. And let's not forget the chips and salsa--they're always a welcome bonus and make the meal feel complete. The space itself is small and very much a grab-and-go kind of place, but that's part of its charm. It's a true neighborhood institution, run by people who know what they're doing and have been doing it for a long time. There's something comforting about walking in and knowing exactly what you're going to get--and knowing it's going to be good. El Burrito Express isn't trendy, flashy, or trying to reinvent anything. It's just consistently good, affordable, authentic food made with care. After all these years, it's still one of my favorite places to eat in the city--and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
